    Ferret news? Please?

Yeah, he was 14/20th. Small world! I think he enjoyed himself out there as his gang made a mini-bar at one point out of wooden crates and furniture they found. Who were you with mate? And on-topic, is there going to be a .30cal version as well as a GPMG version, or just one of them?

    Red Hammer Studios

I can't wait (well, I can, but I'd rather I didn't have to ) for the upcoming packs. And the commander's MG scripts... *splurge*

    Ferret news? Please?

Well, I can't wait for this (especially if it comes in UN colours) as my dad drove them in Cyprus during the 70s. In fact, if someone would make a Larnika taxi-drivers addon to fight with and some beer addons, I could make a campaign out of his time out there

    Pukf dpm pack 1.0

It's still a Starlight scope though.

    Somebody make a DV-cam

Use Fraps and run around without a gun. Same effect

    british army addons

I'll keep my opinions of the DKM pack to myself for the sake of Jaguar's blood pressure. But hey, we'll agree to disagree. Even if I am right

    british army addons

I can get a lot of common US aircraft, vehicles, weapons and troopsfrom Vietnam to now, some of which have been done multiple times by multiple people. Most are very well-made. I also have (or have had at some time) a good selection of Japanese units, Russian units, Canadian units, German units, Finnish units, Swedish units, Czech units and French Units. Most of these packs included helicopters, tanks, various infantry weapons and different sorts of troops, and they were all very well made. Now, high-quality British gear: I have two British aircraft (FLK Sea Harrier and Tornado), one pack of infantry (UKF) and some Land Rovers (also UKF). I'd call that pretty under-represented.

They're not useless when you're operating a Milan and there's fifteen of them trundling towards you

    JASDF Aircraft

I got these a few days ago and have done nothing except streak around pretending I'm in the Japanese version of Top Gun These jets feel perfect. The guns feel right, the missiles feel right, the bombs feel right despite the dumb ones having no provision to lock on (but good judgement and practice will help), they handle perfectly, and they can really mess your day up if they catch you on the prowl in a Flogger. Hats off to all concerned!

    Music In Mods

Personally, Motörhead. Because Lemmy is the man. I dunno really. There's a song for every occasion. I made a little promo vid for my squad to Godzilla by the Blue Oyster Cult once, for god's sake

    Hunting Mod Poll

Personally, I'd not download it. It's much more of a challenge hunting tanks

    Absailing

Abseilling (or rapelling if you're American) and fast-roping aren't really the same thing. When you abseil, you're attached to the rope with a harness and can control your descent. When you fast-rope, you just tend to fall out of the helicopter really fast hanging onto the rope. Sort of like a fireman's pole, but made of rope and hanging from a helicopter. I've wanted vertical cliff-faces and the ability to abseil down them in OFP for ages, but since you can't have proper vertical landscape in OFP, I'll just have to wait for OFP2 and pray.

Project: UK Forces Land Rover Pack

    Whilst true, it's hardly relevant.

Military / Spy / War / Action Books

The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer is an incredible book. Sajer was a half-French, half-German soldier who fought on the Eastern Front, and the book goes from his basic training in Poland to the end of the war. It's an excellent book because he captured the futility of war as only a veteran of the Eastern Front could. It's also incredibly refreshing to see things from the perspective of a German soldier. Bear in mind that it's about five hundred and sixty pages long though!

    Pukf dpm pack 1.0

It's so the player's view's unobstructed. The in-vehicle helmet model is different to the, uh, not in-vehicle one, in that it's missing a few little bits on the rim. To edit the beret or bush hats so they didn't obstruct your view at certain angles would have meant lopping big bits off them and that'd probably have looked a bit shit. Now, explain to me why I can remember that from a conversation I had with Vade or Jonno months ago, but not where I put my wallet when I came home from the shops
  17. I think someone's unhappy.

what kind of player are you?

He's not lying though. He's so hardcore, if he moved in next door to you, your lawn would die.

what kind of player are you?

Tankie, I'd dispute that, but since you're one of my lads, I have to agree Me, personally? I'm happier in a team than on my own, and I prefer to fight defensively, drawing the enemy out of cover and making them attack me. I also have a thing for firepower, and lots of it. Like, a GPMG or two covering us from that hill over there, an LMG or two in a section, a grenade launcher here or there, a few LAWs, lots of bullets for everone, a few grenades maybe, sidearms, an IFV on call ready to lay down cannon fire, maybe a light chopper or two with rockets on standby. For me, overkill's preferable to just making sure IMHO, a leader is a person who people follow without him saying a word. The moment you start thinking of yourself as the most important part of your team because you've got an extra stripe is usually the moment your team loses faith in you because you're the almighty. Luckily, the moment you think you're the almighty is usually the moment you stick your head out too far around a corner and lose it.

    Joint ammo and magazines (jam)

The problem with magazines with the A1 was the fact that they were crap. The A2 mag is more substantial. Both the L85A1 and L85A2 will fire the bog-standard STANAG mag as well.

    Trains in ofp??

I'm starting to get giddy with excitement with all the cool stuff that's in the works lately. First thing I'll have to do with the trains is see if a T72 on the tracks will derail them
  24. Bloody hell, no hiding behind doors during firefights for me! Amazing work! The last few months have seen more workarounds for engine limitations than the first two years! Multiple guns on boats, roof-mounted machine guns on tanks, reflective water and postprocessing, working bayonets, and now destructible buildings! Klink deserves a medal
