I always had a soft spot for Call of Duty because of the British missions. I was starting to think that I'd imagined the part we played in the war Nice to see they're keeping it up for the sequel. Impressive graphics, too.

Looks great

Context sensitivity would be great. For example, right-click on an area and your guys watch it. Double right-click and they lay down fire. Right click on a target and they put down point fire, double-right click and they suppress him. I personally prefer it when your controls can be used in a variety of situations, rather than how it is in OFP where you have multiple orders and settings for loads of different eventualities.

LSR Deltas/Rangers/Weapons 2.0 Released
stevevcb replied to Laser's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Top work Laser. I rarely go a bundle over US kit, but these are very, very nice indeed. -
I'll download it for two reasons: - The FDF team are shit hot - It's an interesting concept. I for one am sick to death of seemingly every bit of WW2 gaming being about Normandy.
-
If you look back through the thread, you'll find that they've decided on the majority of kit already.
-
Yeah, the idler's the one opposite to the drive sprocket.
-
It was introduced in 1.1 so that they didn't get the SUSAT stuck in their face when aiming. Just looks a bit silly when you've got proper SA80-specific anims and they refuse to look down their sights. Or if they're not using an SA80.

English is no harder than any other Latin-based language (French, Spanish, Italian) until you factor in all the exceptions to rules and words that sound the same/have the same spelling/are spelled the same but pronounced differently: Lead: either the act of leading, a type of soft metal, or a strap you attach to your dog's collar when you want to walk him. Then there's the whole where/were/wear/we're and there/their/they're thing. If I didn't speak English as a first language, I'd go barmy learning it

If I moved to (closes eyes and randomly point at a country on a map), uh, Bulgaria, would they stop celebration their national day (supposing they have one) and pull all the flags down just in case it offended me? Of course not, don't be daft. Would I be offended, being British, at seeing loads of Bulgarian flags everywhere? No, not really. What we need is some way to turn common sense into a drug so we can give all these politically correct idiots an overdose of it.

Deh-trie-tuss. I think. Been a long time since GCSE biology.

I'd argue that JAM's not about making standard weapons, but about making standard ammunition. The L96 isn't the only weapon that can accept Lapua ammunition, so I'd say it'd be a better idea to make both standard 7.62 NATO rounds for sniper rifles, and Lapua rounds. That way, anyone making an L96 won't feel the need to make their weapon fire JAM rounds as well as their own Lapua ammuntion, which would result in less standardisation and less accuracy in terms of performance. Or something.

Neither's telling someone what to do because other people did it.

Keller, what have you actually done for the community except moan about everything? If teams released everything they're working on just because you can't bear to wait (seeing you're obviously too important for patience), I guarantee you'd be the first one to complain because they weren't finished. UKF take their time and get things as accurate as possible. I've heard stories about discussions regarding things as trivial as the colour of the D10 cable reel on the back of the Warrior. Now, it might not matter to you if they put so much effort into research and accuracy, but it matters to the team and it matters to the guys who've actually used this kit for real. At the end of the day, if it's too slow or "humble" for you, why don't you make some UK units? Or can't you tell O2 from your elbow?

Best Kill: Standing over DeLiltMon while he rolled on his back to do some first aid, then unloading my Smith and Wesson into his gut. Very Reservoir Dogs. Best Death: Wasn't me, but it was bloody hilarious. Mav was disarming a Mapfact spring mine and comes on Ventrillo. Manages to say "Mine Deactiva-" before there's a bang and a scream in OFP Best Near Miss: Poking my head up to have a look down the road, then having an enemy soldier part my hair with an RPG-7

I agree, making sniping hard would be great.
-
It's a wonderful map, it looks a lot more realistic than most. Rolling desert, great mountains, wadis and valleys everywhere, even the rocks and use of foliage is bang on. Hats off to you
-
That'd be great if you ask me.
-
Is it compatible with missions made for the old one?
-
Jag, it'd be an idea to ask Mav if you've not done so already. He made his living falling out of those things.
-
Project UKF made an SA80 with UGL that had properly calibrated sights if that counts. Really adds a lot to the weapon.

Why does that remind me of the last time I saw Motörhead live? I don't know if I want my PC to shock the shit out of me because I got hurt in games. If I wanted bullets to hurt me, I'd be wearing a tin helmet and walking around Basra.

Yeah, an AT gunner will fire at aircraft with AA rockets, infantry with AP rockets, anything with ALL rockets, and vehicles only with standard AT ones.

Squaredel?
