I agree, I just saw an opportunity to make light of the original post. Nothing personal just fufilling my quota for humor (be it dry or not). IMO, we have a great friend in the UK. As for the British Soldiers in O.F.P. I am all for it. I could always use a driver to chauffeur me tho the battlefield.

Introducing a thing called Quality British Forces is ficticious. Maybe they could come up with some British Soldiers who could cater to the far superior American Force i.e. Serve us up some fish and chips with a pint of ale to wash it down.

I too am experiencing the crackling sounds. I have only recently experienced it. Only thing I have done differently to my system is upgrade to Windows XP Pro. I was running ME prior to the upgrade and had v1.3 installed. Never experienced the crackling B4. I have an ASUS A7A266 MB. All the latest SB Live updates have been installed. I have noticed if I disable EAX in the options screen, the crackling goes away. Any suggestions?

OFP preferences will only allow me video resolution choices up to 16 bit. 32 bit is no longer an option. OFP runs fine but the ground has no texture. It appears only as an off-white color. The mission starts out in a destroyed town. I would like to know if there is a way to create smoke with smoke grenades. I want to have the smoke grenades simulate a fire coming from the destroyed buildings. Is there a way to have grenades already placed without having to toos them? Many thx in advance
