    I have no control over that. Just because someone makes a crappy addon that crashes the server doesn't mean I can do anything about it. I've found the Dynamic Sound Pack has been the primary culprit from all of the trouble reports. If you look in other posts on the forum you'll see where anything that modifies the config.bin increases the likeliness of crashes. Just make sure that anyone playing on your server does NOT have the dynamic sound pack installed. Other addons probably dont have the same effect, but DEFINITELY the Dynamic Sound Pack will crash the server with Jeep Horn errors and other strange stuff because it's trying to modify some sounds in the game I suppose.

    That depends on the forecast. I have 5 unique forcasts, with the extreme at either end. I don't know how they'll all turn out, so I guess I'll just have to see and tweak them as I get input.

    UPDATE: --Added Random weather. This can be activated by commanders at the CommandHQ --Added Faster day/night cycle. Also commander-activated at the CommandHQ --Improved the independent AI squad handling. Now their formation should face in the direction you were standing when you set their marker position http://www.aggression.org/karr/rts2.zip

    I haven't had time to update lately. I'm remodeling my bathroom and I'm getting ready to tear out a load-bearing wall so I've been kinda busy building temporary supports for the ceiling on each side of the wall. It's hours of family fun, I tell ya. After I get done working, I typically want to play, rather than script, but I'll get back to it shortly.

  8. Excellent work tracking that down. I think we can safely say that the dynamic sound pack or whatever is the root cause of the crashes that you've had both on this map and RTS2. The rest of your addons may have had nothing to do with it. I don't know how the soundpack works, but it would seem that it's trying to work with something and it kills the server when it does.
  9. Quaker had this issue on RTS2 as well, in fact I seem to recall that identical error, right quaker? I think there's probably an unofficial addon in there somewhere because the only time my server has crashed with those odd errors was when quaker came and played on it. Max, you probably crashed because of an addon that quaker has. In fact I'm almost positive. We went through this with mine and after he removed all of his addons he didn't have as many probs. Quaker you might want to try reinstalling opflash or possibly putting in a clean Config.bin and Addons folder just to be safe. Getting a JeepHorn error msg is just very strange. I think there must be an issue with CreateVehicle and unofficial addons. Somehow the game must mistake an addon for the real thing, but when it tries to create it and the server tries to send the info to all clients, then the server realizes that it doesn't have the addon and promptly crashes.

    Heh, well I'm looking at putting in my fast day/night cycle as an option that can be activated by a commander at the CommandHQ. I'll look at random weather. I messed with it a while back but never did anything with it. UPDATE: --Fixed problem where workers would run off to repair buildings that were not the primary ones you first built. --Added in Darth Vader and Stormtroops who do drive-by shootings with a Trabant.     The minelayer is a very tricky weapon to use. If you can figure out the path that the enemy is sending their tanks on, then you can lay a lot of mines in their path. You just have to make sure to send your tanks by a different route. I've found that if Team A sends their tanks directly to Team B's base, and Team B does the same to Team A's base, then the tanks will typically take almost identical routes, albeit in reverse. I actually find it easier to take a construction jeep out there, build some ammo crates, and mine the hell out of the area. I did that one time and after I'd spent all that time doing, it, the enemy tanks suddenly turned at a 45 degree angle and missed them all. Personally, I think the best weapons are already in the game. I tried putting artillery in there, but it just seems to take the fun out of it. If you can pound another base and sit in yours, then you never get to the exciting parts of opflash. The infantry side is really fun, followed by dogfighting in Cessnas. =) I would like some more choppers for the Soviets, because things are a bit unbalanced insofar as those go.

    I agree. I'll think of something. Like maybe if a vehicle isn't claimed within a few minutes of being built, it's moved or deleted and the money credited back to the builder. Of course you could just blow it up and recycle it. =) It'd probably blow up your base building though.

    You should already be able to build a Sports car at the tank factory. It's one of the last ones in the list and it's called a "Rapid" or "RapidY"

    UPDATE: --Re-wrote the way the workers are spawned and a couple of minor things. On another note, I've been getting a lot of requests to make RTS2 available for Addon islands that people have been making. If you send me the island addon or post a link here, then i'll be glad to take a look at it. Please make sure that the addon works and won't crash opflash. RTS2 is currently available on all opflash islands, except for the Desert island....that would be rather pointless. Also, some players have been wanting to create custom addons for the vehicles that are used in RTS2. This is a bit more problematic and time consuming, but if the addons are well done, then I don't see a problem with it. I'd have to change a couple of things in the scripts, but it shouldn't be too hard (I hope) to make some custom RTS2 missions for players. Islands are much easier since all I have to do is move everything to the island. Also, if there are any special vehicle types that you'd like to see, let me know. I put in the Minelayer at Hit_Squad_Maximus's request because I thought it could be a useful vehicle. I don't want to put in anything like a Trabant with Laser-guided bombs and a suicide nuclear detonator...unless I'm the only one that gets to use it. =) Thanks for all the beta testing the community has been doing for me!

    Well I've found that this sometimes happens and I'm not sure why. Basically the primary base buildings are: Mobile Base Vehicle Command HQ Barracks Tank Factory Helo Factory Recycler Each time you build one of these buildings, your team gets 1 base unit added to their count. When one is destroyed, you get 1 deducted from your count. When you have 0, then you lose. You cannot have more than 1 Mobile Base Vehicle or Recycler, but you can build as many of the other types as you want. I think that sometimes because of lag, when a base building is destroyed, then it might not get deducted as it should. I've tested this quite a bit so I know it's not in the script. I'll probably just need to come up with a better method of tracking the base units. Like maybe instead of counting every base building that is built, I'll only count the first of each that you build. So, the first CommandHQ, Barracks, Tank Factory, and Helo Factory that you build would be your primary base. Anything after that would just be for strategy. I'll have to think on it. The only bad thing about the way it is now, is that someone could build 1 building hidden somewhere and not do anything else after their other buildings are destroyed, so you might never find that hidden building, and since they aren't repairing their old ones, you can't get 15 points to win.

    Coop mp with attack choppers?

    Here's a link to my coops. Some of them use almost exclusively Choppers, like Into the Fire does. Some of them you start in a chopper, but if you get shot down then you're on the ground with the grunts. http://www.aggression.org/karr/KarrCoop.zip
