This idea sounds great!! Especially since I was a huge fan of Strike Commander :D Running a merc group in this sounds like a lot of fun.

I've been keeping an eye out for a Dynamic War for ArmA 2, but it didn't dawn on me that it might be under a different name! I'm glad I checked that other thread to find this! Getting it now, I can't wait to try it since I LOVED Dynamic War for ArmA!

[errors when patching to 1.05]

Same problem here patching to 1.05. Not a problem with the DVD install it's a problem with the patch file. 1.02 patch worked fine when installing that patch seporatly. This is a great game, but the patch system seems to be done really badly.

Got shot while trying to sneak up on an enemy through a large open barn. Next in command ordered the medic to heal me. The medic runs over within a few meters, stops, kneels down, then says "negative" and runs away from me. This kept cycling through about 10 times before I eventually bled to death laying there waiting for the medic to move just a few steps closer instead of just running away. There wasn't even any obsticals in the way either.

[Patch 1.02 Satisfaction Survey]

I just got the game when the 1.02 patch came out, but since the campaign is unplayable and my drivers seem like they are drunk I had to vote for "not satisfied". To clairfy the drunk drivers issue, while AI is driving along a road they will sometimes suddenly vear off the road, then make several turns to try and get back on. I figure they are either drunk or possibly suicidal as they sometimes will vear off the road right into a tree :P

If you can't see that the editor and MP and addons are and always have been the true spirit of the game, then I'm sorry. Enjoy some other game where the campaign is good for one or two playthroughs and then you shelve it. I would rather not even have a single player campaign if it meant they could develop the core aspects of the game better.

I believe you are 100% wrong about the "core aspect of the game". If you want multiplayer only like you said then you need to not bother with a game like this and move on to a MMO. I'm sorry to hear you can't grasp what this game is centered around and what the true spirit of it is.

It's a video GAME. A game is a freakin game. If it doesn't work, it's trash. That's what the campaign is - trash. Don't try to push the editor and multiplayer as being what the game is "all about". I buy games first and foremost for their singleplayer content. Everything else is just a bonus. The fact that ArmA2's single player campaign is this f'd up, really pisses me off. There's absolutely no excuse for it.

I totally agree on this as well, I buy this as a single player game period. I don't even have any interest in multiplayer. The campaign was a real draw for me and sounded very interesting, the addons and missions are a bonus. Problems this huge should have been found in alfa testing, this big of errors shouldn't even have made it into beta let alone release.
