  2. TORA - The Online Racing Association

TORA is the worlds first officially recognised body for virtual motorsport and is recognised by the Motorsports Association UK. TORA is committed to providing a professional environment for individuals to develop skills in everything from racing to team management and engineering. We organise and promote a wide range of online racing series including sportscars, touring cars, rally and stock cars on platforms such as the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

TORA has existed for for over four years and in that time we have grown from a handful of people to a community of over four hundred and fifty members. Our community has not only grabbed the attention of the MSA, but real world racing teams such as Rogue Motorsport, Audi Sport North America and Red Bull have also taken an interest. Our relationship with Radio Le Mans has grown from strength to strength which has included our community being mentioned in their live commentary of Le Mans 24 Hours and the are good friends of TORA.

London Gaming Con will be TORA's first public event and to celebrate we will be holding a weekend long tournament at LGC using Forza Motorsport 4 for the Xbox 360. With the inclusion of the Top Gear Test Track in the new game, TORA will be running a Top Gear style Lap Times constest using a race rig and steering wheel. At the end of the weekend, the top three drivers will earn prizes. Third place will recieve 1200 MS points, 2nd place will recieve 2100 MS points and the top prize will be a copy of Forza Motorsport 4 on the Xbox 360. We will also have a table set up including information on how to get involved with TORA.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you guys at the event!

  4. The reason for this is simple: consoles. Graphics wise they have reached there limit some years now wich is why multicrossplatform games today look pretty much like games that are 4 years old. Unfortunatly the same applies with AI. The processors in the consoles are not that powerfull hence why pretty much all MCP games have mediocre AI. The only way to see an increase in both is to go PC only or wait for new consoles to be released.

    Fantastic quote

    +1
