If it is an M700 then it is not far off, the military version is the M40 with a slightly different stock all the rest is the same. And these rifles aren't magazine fed, you simply load the rounds in the top when the Cocking lever is all the way back, so the magazine pic is wrong, it should just be a pic of 6 seperate rounds. And I wish BIS gave the weapon the proper name, instead of Hunting rifle, S&W or Ingram, they should of put M700 (if it is that), S&W whatever it is (629?) and the Ingram (M11?), If you look close enough at the ingram you Know it fires the .380 ACP or 9mm short because it says on the side, so is it the M11? Haven't a clue which S&W it is, its like calling the MP5 the "HK" which they also do. And calling the resistance sniper the "hunting rifle" is like calling the M16 the "US assault rifle"

I dont believe thay have not fixed the G3 and FAL images, also if you put the FN FAL in Automatic its spelled FN FALL

I think its either a Remington Model 700 or an M40. Its definately not an M24, Its a left handed one though, the emties are ejected left and the cocking lever is on the left hand side (go to 3rd person view and reload to find out why). Theres one problem though, it fires tracers. I like the way its overpowered though. It gives you a reason to use it over the M21 or the SVD

The hunting rifle is awesome, though the cocking lever and extraction port is on the wrong side (its a lefty rifle at the mo and there are no lefties in OFP), this is probably so it goes with the reload anims, the Ingram is way too slow and the noise is pretty poor too. Bike and mini are just funny!

The WA2000 is a classic. Its small and accurate because its a bullpup and powerful, it fires a .300 Winchester Magnum round. It remains my favourite sniper rifle. Its stylish too

Looking at it though, it looks like an M4A1 with an RIS grip

The SR-25 fires the 7.62x51 cartridge, that looks like it fires the 5.56x45, so won't it be the SR-15, you can tell by the length of the Reciever and the magazine style. Also the barrel looks like the M4A1 type, so I think it is an SR-15. Very nice model though.

Cheers!

Is there a command or something to stop a group from retreating?

Engagements can take place at realistic distances instead of the in-close knife fights that are the usual fare in OFP. Imagine spotting a target 4.8km off in the distance, not quite in engagement range, then using the terrain to your advantage to move into a flanking position. Tatics have got a boost here

COLINMAN<span id='postcolor'>
You can set it to 5 km, just put the bar up to 5000, or is it set in some gay game distance and not in meters

I actually dont have a problem with the ammo, but the 40mm rounds do get on my nerves because yes they are smaller than the hand grenade and the flares that can also be fired from the M203 and the Russian Thing (BG-15 or whatever) only take up one space, but the explosive ones take 2. Also if they made them take only one space it would give me a reason to use grenade launchers instead of the rifle grenades which have nearly twice the blast radius and way more range. Just think you could have your basic M16A2 with 3 high power mortars or an M16A2/203 with 6 grenade rounds, I know its still not 36, but its getting closer, only 30 short instead of 33. Then again if you think, holding 36 grenades you could take out nearly anything, remember Delta Force 1 with double ammo load and the M4/203, hehe

WOW that is one sexy rifle and that round is amazing. Me wants it in Flashpoint. NOW!!
-
I know its a very small point, but it still gets on my nerves.
When you fire an MP5 you would expect pistol sized spent cartridges to be extracted, but you get rifle sized ones instead, maybe same with Bizon and then when you fire the G3 or FAL you get pistol sized cartridges extracted. All other weapons are fine, but these are bent, i know its a small thing so it may be easy to fix too

Another thing is the Kozlice extracts empties too, strangely enough even though its a single shot breech loading rifle/ shotgun.

The topic title says 'silent gun and other toys', which to me means silent guns not only pistols and other toys like Machine pistols and stuff

Walther WA2000, FN MAG, SA80, L86A1, SIG P226, SIG 550, SIG 550 sniper version, AT4, OICW.

True, its semi and auto, but i like the Beretta 93r better than the glock, it has single, burst and auto.

Ok, but is there some kind of wire guidance thing in OFP, because when you move the targeting crosshair in DKM's TOW the missile follows, just like in real TOW? This happens without locking the target.<span id='postcolor'>
It does that with the Carl and the AT4 too

I dont think there is a silencer for the dragunov, because the round it fires is about a century old (7.62 X 51 R) so there is no subsonic version available for use with a suppressor and the Russians have a far superior silenced rifle shown already, the VSS, which has twice the effective range of a 7.62 subsonic round. The PSG and the M21 both fire the 7.62 X 51 NATO and there is a subsonic version of this round for use with a suppressor.

Shove the East, they have the Skorpion.
The west have no machine pistol so why should the East have silenced pistols.
New weapon names
in GENERAL
Posted
Calling the Revolver a "S&W", the new SMG an "Ingram" and the new sniper rifle "Hunting rifle" is a bit vague IMO after the Resistance pack where we got names such as "HK G3A4" and "Sa61 Skorpion". I mean how many revolvers do S&W make? Alot.
Which Ingram is it? M10, M11 etc. And the best one ever "hunting rifle", although I have decided it is the Remington M700 IMO, its too vague. They are all very good weapons (Ingrams' ROF is way too slow though), but its the name what gets to me. OK the S&W and Ingram aren't too bad, but the new rifle gets to me, when you are kitting your team out with XM-177E2s and AK47s, then you come across "hunting rifle" it just looks wierd, I know its not much of a prob, but it would be better if it were called a proper name like M700, it just goes with everything else better.
On the whole though the patch is awesome.
Thank you BIS
