  1. I agree that the G36 is the best, but on my comp when you fire it in auto it just sounds like a wet fart, same with the G3, FN FAL and the AUG because the rate of fire is so much higher than the AKs or the XM177s, it blurs the sound and it wastes ammo. XM177 is much more controlable.

  2. What do you prefer to go into combat with and what role do you like to take? Only the weapons that came with OFP, the patches and expansion packs, so no unofficial addons.

I like the XM177E2, 10 spare mags, silenced Glock 17, Binocs and NVG. Shame there isn't a silenced XM177 though, or i'd have that. smile.gif

  3. And anyway what about the G36 what BIS gave us, that wasn't around until the early 90s and was adopted by the Germans in 1999, so who cares about dates, they are only going to be used in the mission editor.

OK then the AMR might be a bit over powered, but what about the IWS 2000, its only a 14.5 mm. wink.gif . But then again looking at the 2, the AMR looks way better.

    Actually it was a Remington M870 in a SPAS 12 case wink.gif

  5. I think OFP needs more sniper rifles, the maps are huge and there are three official sniper rifles. All the M82s i have tried either fire explosive rounds, tracers or look a bit poo. PSG-1s are not that much more different to an M21 if you think from a games point of view (7.62mm, 20 round mag etc). I really like the new hunting rifle though. Maybe it needs some realistic suppressed sniper rifles for special ops. Maybe a VSS, is it? (not sure) for the east. For the west make it different like a big bore rifle (not suppressed), say good M82A1 or M99, even the Steyr AMR smile.gif

  7. The weapon models in Counter strike are not the best, most of them have the extraction ports on the wrong side, pentagon shaped sights etc. The most realistic weapon models I have seen in a game are either in SOF2 or OFP. After seeing most of these weapons in real life then comparing them to the ones in game they are of very good quality.

  9. I can hit stuff with it, even headshots, its just its taken ma about a year to get fully used to it and then all these new weapons have got their own custom crosshairs, which will probably take another year to get used to, why cant they leave them alone or make different versions one with the default crosshair the other with the fancy take up half the screen jobby. And i do wish the grenade launchers had proper iron sights. They had them in the demo so why not in the full game?

  10. I have noticed quite a few new weapon addons are using new crosshairs, i dont mean the optics view, but different versions of the little white crosshair you get when not looking through the sights. Examples of this are the OICW in the HK pack which uses a cross inside of a circle, also the G36 in the HK pack which is a red dot inside a circle. What I want to know is Does anyone like these because im not so keen. It took me long enough to get used to the standard pistol type thingy. And some of the new ones seem to get in the way.

What is your opinion on these?

  11. The AI is great, i have no problems there. What i have a slight problem with is the amout of inventory slots you have available. Its the only reason i dont like the Grenade Launchers because you can only carry 5 at the most and thats without any ammo for the rifle. I mean another 2 would not do any harm, but i would prefer if you had alot more, maybe 20 or so instead of 10, but i know this wont happen. It would be nice though. I really like the game know though. I was sneaking round with the Glock-S. Its awesome!

No it isn't. Look real closely at the model, and you will see that (at least the skin) is from an Ingram chambered for .380

Set it on the ground, and check it out with some binoculars for yourself smile.gif<span id='postcolor'>

    You're right. I stand corrected.<span id='postcolor'>

the 380ACP is a 9mm round, but its the 9mm short not the parabelium (ive never been able to spell that right). I think the 380 ACP is the 9mm Short, correct me if im wrong.

I don't think that is correct.

AFAIK, the M-11 was never chambered in .45ACP, only .380ACP and 9mm. The M-10 was available in 9mm and .45ACP, but not .380ACP.<span id='postcolor'>

If you look close enough at the textures with binoculars it says M11A1 on the side.

And why can't BIS rename the rifle to "M700" instead of "Hunting Rifle"
