...80's ? Oh wipman you must have misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about equipping anyones 80's units, or making anything 80'ish.
I was just offering a model of INQ's M4 that has a regular handguard instead of the RIS one and the upper receiver with the fixed handle.
But to texture them, I had to make new handguard & fixed handle textures (only 3 of them). These textures look the same as INQ's. So they'd need the same scratches and lighting effects to blend in with the rest of the textures, that you've already made.
Your M4's look fantastic, I just don't like RIS and flattops (That is in real life I mean, your work is great).
I understand that you might be busy and I don't want to give you more work than you can handle.

But there are two things I'd like to discuss with you.
First, I remember reading the list if stuff you were going to make and that list included an M60A3 Patton tank, the second thing is that I remember, you wrote: "I´d never said i will not use exiting addons."
Well my addons have never been released, but I guess that's
my fault
 Anyhow, it doesn't mean that they don't exist!If you would have made an M60A3, you would have probably used INQ's model, right? Then again, i wouldn't know that. Would I?
Now When INQ released his M60A1 I took the liberty of enhancing it even further, the result was very satisfactory to me.
I even made desert & woodland textures, plus Armor panels (although the A3's never used them).
If you're interested, maybe I could somehow get them to ya?

Now I was wondering, not so long ago you said something about makeing some CAR-15 with M203's in different camos aswell as M4's, right?
But as soon as you came to that idea, you buried it because you didn't have the correct handles & handguard's, right?
Now I would have sent you these parts the day you said it, but i was a little bit shy
, so sorry about that.The thing is, those CAR-15 pieces/models are ready, textured and waiting on my harddrive. It only has 3 extra textures that you'd need to make desert/woodland/black versions of. The rest of the model has the same INQ textures that you've already done.

1. You're looking in the right direction, the models are in the Data3D.pbo and the textures are in the Data.pbo. You just have to UnPbo them.
The models are in ODOL format so you can't open them in O2. Use ODOL Explorer to save them as MLOD .p3d's and then you can open them with O2.
2. You have to give us more information.
3. WrpEditor is way over my head, get another expert on this

There was another similar tool for MLOD .p3d files aswell.
I downloaded it from somewhere, but i can 't find a link for it anymore.
The program is called "TxtPathSwap", but even googleing doesn't give any results.

Aaha, Geocider it's good that you noticed that.
The program isn't faulty at all, it's just the format of .p3d your trying to open, there are two of them the MLOD and the binarized ODOL. This program can only open the binarized ODOL .p3d's.

LP4Life just try lowering your privacy thing, from Tools> Internet Options> Privacy. This should enable cookies and downloading.

But I have a question about the new Multiplayer config, You said:

Hi! I'm sorry to say this but King Homer absolutely right! Although yours is a decent model, It's Not An XM177E2 or even an XM177E1 and the XM177s does Not Exist (But it's fine as long it just means that the rifle has a scope).
So Please Don't call it an XM177E2, or it would be your fault if the next generation of children will grow up thinking that it is. Â

The correct name of your current creation would be the "M4 COMMANDO".

But if your willing to work with the model and create a real XM177E2, you'd have to do the following things:
Make the correct flashhider

and the M16A1 or M16A2 ( A2's are very rare on an XM177E1/E2) upper receiver, flattops do not exist.

But that's ok cause I understand that English isn't the first language for everyone, nor is it for me.But now about the CAR15's.
I'm a hardcore XM177E2 fan myself, so i wouldn't care about the colour nor about any accesories like scopes and stuff. If it has the big flash hider, a thin handguard (not like the thick ones on M4's) and the A1 or A2 upper receiver (A3 is fine as long the handle stays on, no flattop's for me) it's an XM177E2 in my eyes. Now why am I chitchattin about the XM177E2 if this is about the CAR15...well the answer is simple, any short form of the M16 rifle was known as a CAR15 till the M4 came to use. So if, which one these would have you done?
My favorite, the XM177E2.

Well really It's not as hopeless as it looks, since Inquisitor has allready made these details, they're just not in the do-it-yourself M4 Pack. Bits and pieces could to be taken from the M16A2's and M4's from the INQ HiRes Weapon Pack, if he gives permission of course. Using this method I've created quite a few custom weapons.
Oh and about the camoflage being too new for the CAR15's, C'mon painting weapons isn't that new of a thing.
I hope you find inspiration to continue and finish the pack with or without the CAR15's.
If there'll be no XM177E2's in the pack, I'll probably use your M4's as a template and make my own if i have to.

KeyCat lets not start an agrument about this, because I think we both still want the same thing, better tracers to play with.
That last part of my previous post was just meant as a compliment. And no offence taken since you are right about the pleasing part:).
To add. The way this script is currently applied and the way OFP handles it, the only problem i see is with Grenades, Missles and possibly the Laser designator (dont know, havent tryed it yet).
I mean I'f you're a sniper you can only have one sniperrifle and posslibly one pistol. Since you dont want tracers on any of them, then just leave the init box empty and thats it.
Bigger problems arise with regular soldiers since their loadouts often include one or two grenades a launcher or a laser designator.
But as Wolfbane said he might have a better solution to the current way the script handles these problems. I hope for the best.

Wolfbane in one of your previous posts and in the readme of TracerFX v 1.04 you sayed:
"...means that your favorite custom addons weapons may not work with this version of tracerfx." Well, they really don't!
First why have the script working with these few: JAM,INQ's,LSR's and MTCO's weapons and ammo?
And second, if its not too horribly complicated, could you make another one that like the previous versions (supported all addons), plzzz. I have tons of custom made weapons and ammo, plus there are loads of addons that don't use JAM,LSR's,INQ's or MTCO's Weapons nor ammo. Heh, the first addon I tested this script on was my custom made AA-MG for my custom made tank. Then on TomiD's & footmunch's F14. M240's and M60's came later. Although I could stick with v1.03 but I'd really miss the new speedmod thing.
This reminds me of BAS's Cargo script that could only lift the standard BIS vehicles (unless u were a good scripter), but then came OWP and its new universal cargo script for its MI26 and saved the day.
This was my first post in this entire forum, sad that it had to be a whining one but i just couldn't hold it for any longer
.This script IS So Good That i wouldn't want to see any weapon (that fires bullets) without it, whether it's realistic or not!
