Who told you that? I just tried recompiling the language.pbo after overwriting the German collumns with the French stuff. Â It didn't work- everything was still in German. Â I don't know where else the game would be reading the language info from...

Is it possible to modify the .csv files in the language.pbo? Maybe take the "French" word collumns and paste them over the "German" collums...

Too difficult even on Easy Setting ?
JasonF replied to Captain Data's topic in ARMA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix some of these issues. Â The biggest one I would say is the detection when the AI hits a mine or you detonate a charge. Â Might as well just use an AT4. I'm not really bothered by the superhuman AI- I can't say for sure that they couldn't have sniped me with an AK from behind 4 trees at 150 meters- but if that's how they're gonna play, the missions need to be changed. There's too many missions where you're either flying solo or leading a squad of "special" soldiers. Â The solo missions just aren't very authentic and the command interface in ArmA isn't streamlined enough to justify so many "squad leader" missions (Give me a setup like Brothers in Arms where I can order my guys to move with one button). -
L.A. would be impossibly huge. Â As would most any major commerce center in the US. That said, it would be cool to see a completely imaginary city that had the feel of a real one. Â I don't think it would be that difficult to lay out- get a street grid, a freeway, an airport and a downtown area with tall skyscrapers and you've pretty much got yourself a city. Â The buildings would need to be relatively low-poly and low res, but I don't think you'd need a whole lot of detail with most commercial type buildings anyway. -Freeway w/ offramps -Major and minor streets -Parking lots / Garages -Airport -Housing subdivisions -Downtown district (with maybe a couple "architecturally-pleasant" buildings) -Mountains -Lake -Alleyways I think you could probably fit all that in an area maybe 6-7 times the size of Paraiso. The only real problem, I think, would be the lack of traffic...

I know OFP had a framerate setting in the options, but I don't see that in ArmA. Most of the time in cities or forests, I tend to get around 18-24 fps. I have gotten up to 60 (where I believe there is a cap) while climbing a tall tower and looking strait up, so I would think that if your computer is capable of high fps it would do it. Try dropping shadow quality.

Okay, where did you get that version? Â I really don't want to buy a DL version as I like having Physical manuals and whatnot just for the hell of it. Â Shipping with the soundtrack is a nice little bonus.
