Those newest shots show soldiers with the same kind of legs 3d model as the Aussie troops in ADF2 module have, but now these 3d folds have also been applied to the arms from the looks of it. So summa summarum; the folds are 3d, not just textures.

While the date isn't unlikley per se, given the state of things, this is just another rumor untill BIS or the publisher say something else then Q4 2005. Since there is no other info and the one currently available seems more and more like a snowballs chance in hell, we are bound to see more speculation dates on these "release charts". Those sites seem to relay on "my-brothers-best-friends-next-cousin-told-me" kind of "info" quite often.

wmk, Good thing for you this forum isn't like the Wild West in which case you'd be rolling in tar right now on your way to a appointment with a big pile of feathers.....

Maybe BIs is aiming for a "Shock and Awe" surprise release

Here is a start Operation Yonatan/Thunderbolt @ Wikipedia
-
Other then a "what if" this botched operation is not much of a theme of a mod, since it never came to any fighting as you know. Try something like Operation Yonatan/Thunderbolt, the Israeli raid on Entebbe. But of course, there was no Delta Force there....

Now that is quite demanding, don't you think Compared to other AAA titles it's not. I mean BF2 had like 200 screens a week . The more hype this gets the better it will sell by pre-order. Here's an idea. They can give a beta to some dedicated fan and let him do the fanboi marketing . Btw. I missed the post which said it was postponed to april next year. Then the lack makes more sense. Wonder if this means Game2 comes even later then? marcus I'm perfectly aware of what other titles have done and do. It was the " at least" part that made it demanding in my eyes. It implied screens more then just once aweek in the way it was written. Compering it to BF2 in regards to this is not in the same ballpark considering we don't even know who the publisher is yet. And I see one piece of speculation is already starting to settle in as "the word"..... The less pre-release hype, the less flood of whiners to the forum post-release.

VBSS stands for Vessel Boarding Search and Seizure. The filename is refering to a typ of operation, not VBS1. Lasers Seals Vessel Boarding and Seizure "kit" in abriviated form you might say.

Nice screens granQ. Simon, what? Did you chicken out with the music choice on the Amf video? No "lilla Lisa" ?

Back in the mid 90's our runners didn't carry any weapons either, for mainly two reasons, both of them peacetime regulation issues. 1. So they could not be robbed of their weapon, due to some weapons being stolen at other regiments, since runners work mostly alone and regulation stated we should never be less then 2 persons when carrying arms outside the barracks. 2. Safety if they crashed (just like granQ said) The Ak4 we had was not considered a good spine implant with its 5.3 kg loaded . This was at Älvsborgs Regemente (I15)

I wouldn't mind at all if BIS selfpublished ArmA since that would mean no publisher meddling with the game to fit their view of "what the market wants". Since I'm blessed with a fast internet access a digital download style publishing is something that is very convinient to me, I've got several games from Matrix Games that way. But compering ArmA to AA in this regard is not a good idea since the later one is a free of charge game. It's such a hit since it is FREE, this all become a diffrent story when you have to pay for it. It's like I said befor, apples and oranges.

AA have a publisher.. US DoD With that behind you and the funds they got for it its like compering apples and oranges.

Ok, I've just got to get this out of my system.... How about modelling this guy (on the left)
-
Seing that Nogova would fall under "previous worlds" category it seems very likely that it is larger.

The boonie hat is more or less a dead on model of how Clint Eastwood wears his in Heartbreak Ridge, ie turned up at the back.

The dpm SAS in West/Men just made my day. A very nice pack overall, most impressive!

The "simple" answer is that WW2 Online was built from the ground up to be a multiplayer game, OFP wasn't.

This alternative config solved my framerate issue too. Thansk a bunch Maa & crew. Now I can enjoy some hot Cold War firefights.

I get heavy lag in intros with just CSLA II v2.10 without FlashFX or MAPFact Nogova. P4 2.8 /800 HT 1024 MB RAM GeForce 6800GT Golden Sample. To me it seems like there is a leaking cript someware in the mod. Other then this, and the explosionflash, its a fine mod.

I've had the .wrp files mysteriously deleted two times in the past 4 months. Check if the Worlds folder contains any .wrp files. Ther should be able.wrp, cain.wrp, eden.wrp and intro.wrp Just copy in the files in the same folder on your OFP disk to your HD and you should be set to go again.
