Believe me I tried to some time back, the UKF Desert units are the last releases with any of mine and Vade_101's work though. But have since been bug tested, fixed and tweaked by VCB, Rhodite and co. Im sure the UKF guys would love to recruit Blackblodd still. *kiss* *kiss*

We have come to a turning point in the life of UKF, where big decisions have been made. Possibly the biggest one being the departure of some key members of the UKF team, and the appointment of new members (their successors). Me being one of those departures, I am leaving both UKF and OFP editing and moving on to things new. But I am not alone, Orson, DeLiltMon and Vade_101 have also left UKF, to face new challenges. I don't want to dwell on the negatives, so I'll introduce my successor Rhodite, he will take my place alongside Mav in leading UKF forward, and hopefully into OFP 2 when it finally arrives. Also we have a couple of new additions to the development team to mention, in BennyBoy and Tim, welcome guys. Thankyou! its been an enjoyable 2 years.

@Jotte Where did you download it from? I reckon some sites may still have the version that is missing the texture pbo, so if you can let me know, so I can check it out. The same goes for anyone who may of downloaded it from somewhere other than the UKF site, encountering the same problem. Cheers

Tom Norman was the creator of the scripts, but as he is out of reach for the foreseeable future, so we cannot consult, but it's fine with me and the rest of the guys too. I'll keep a watch and see what you can do with the AI There were two noticable bugs we have since addressed though. -fixed: Bayonet commands multiplying in the action menu when entering and exiting vehicles. -fixed: units freeze occasionally after the bayonet stabbing animation has played. We really should hurry up and release 1.1, we had it ready many, many weeks ago , but I left for a short spell. Now we're distracted with other tasks. However we'll try and get the last recently reported bug we know of fixed ASAP and get 1.1 out there. We were toying on the idea of adding some extra stuff in for 1.1, but I think we will leave that out for now. Anyway, this is a topic for the American Civil war mod, just thought this relevant. Like I said, feel free to use the scripts, just let us know what wonders you work with the AI.

Well the fact its such a amazing result and Greece have won it, which is just bloody brilliant for them, means it's not boring in the slightest. I don't think iv ever been this happy for another international team for winning a big game. I can't even imagine how I'd of been feeling if it was England , but that wasn't to be. Im gonna step out of character here and ask a simple request, please for the love of all things holy, shut your pie holes with the sh!t stirring about England fans, its really starting to irritate and is getting old now, and I dont wanna explode either *takes a deep breath and in...and out....* I'd like to see either Holland win, or a shocker with Greece winning that would be nice. I always like to cheer for the supposed underdogs if im a neutral. If Greece win it, Germany if they have any sense should approach Otto if its not too late by then. Rather than the ex Bayern manager, although Id rather they didnt.

Just to clear up a few points, the Landrovers need the interiors finishing off, they are 1/3 through a retexture, to bring them upto par. As for mortars, we have no current plans to add them, but a Sniper unit will make an appearance at some stage. So after we get the v1.1 DPM pack update out, we'll (DeLiltMon and me) be concerntrating on finishing the Landrover interior ready for release. Then once that is released I expect DeLiltMon will move right onto the LandRover XD Wolf variants, including the WMIK version with the L1A1 HMG mounted. A few of us will be working on multiple projects, therefore it may take a while untill you see progress, but we should end up having a few releases bunched together. Not to forget all the other guys beavering away on projects, some trying their hand at texturing for the first time, as its hard to find the talent, so maybe we'll try create the talent. I mustn't forget to mention the mission makers also working away on creating mission to utilize the DPM pack and Landrovers. But we hope to see some decent user missions too! *nudge* nuff said, I'll say no more

I think Tom may of worded that poorly? *edit, yep I was right  Easy Tiger, the pack hasn't been out 48 hrs yet, and before we consider helping others to implement it we want to get the v1.1 update out to fix a known bug, which gives an error when an ai law80 unit attaches the bayonet. That doesn't mean we won't let others use it, but give it a couple of weeks atleast. Already Falklands and the civil war mod are likely to use it, the only thing is, Tom the brains behind it, in a few days time will be unavailable as he is in the army and will be overseas without net access, so helping otherS to understand how it all works may be tricky. Â

The only reason we ask for bug reports to be mailed is that way there is better chance we will be made aware of them all, so that we can nail them for the 1.1 update. At the moment Im trawling all the various big sites and forums to track down all the bug reports, we could be spending this time fixing bugs and working on other things. Echoing what Mav said earlier, thankyou for all the kind comments, and yes thankyou for the feedback AND bug reports. Now go start planning/making some decent missions to use these units, and the Landrovers at a later date, chances are we may host any good ones on the missions section of our site, once it's up. oh dear, bit of stupid error we must of made, that command was in the readme I guess, well the scripts are spelt wrong there, should be "para". init_patch_para.sqs init_Beret_para.sqs Sorry, and keep the feedback coming, we'll get a 1.1 out in a week or two hopefully, nail all the bugs that surface, even with 20+ testers and weeks of testing bugs get through, cant beat having 100's of people playtesting at once
