I added the M9 to give a bit more variety. The SOCOM will be featured in the final release.

*sigh* Whats not right about it? I can't see a problem if I gain full permission. I don't see you bitching at ToW for using Earl/Suchey's weapons from the Marine Assault Pack for their up-coming Deltas. Stop being so damn bitter about being fired and move on. For your information, Fliper (the creator of the original M4 Pack, my version of which you linked to), had plans to make further M4 Packs, but allowed me to do so instead, due to time constraints of his other projects.

They DO have an earpiece, just not 100% like the one featured in the film, and they don't have conventional microphones, but 'throat-mics' (check out there necks, and you'll see them then. Sounds will be tweaked (its on my ever increasing in length 'To Do' list, right at the very top). I agree that the HYK modern infantry would be better, but its a) Another addon to download for them to work, b) I like to have my addons as 'all-inclusive' and want to minimize the number of 3rd party addons that are required. c) You can add my weapons to the HYK units with the numerous commands anyway :P

OK, the pack has finally uploaded (damn 56k). It can be found over at http://sjb.ofpr.com/tos/. Please remember it is a PUBLIC BETA so expect a few bugs. If you do uncover any bugs, please let me know either here, or over at the SJB Forums. The readme.txt covers all relevent class-names etc so refer to that if you want to add the weapons to units of you own via the init line. I'm off for a rest now after smacking my 56K almost to the point of destruction Edit: By the way, mirrors are always welcomed. Thanks.

I'm about to upload the relevant files. Watch this space (its roughly 19.6mb and on my 56K it'll take a while).

Actually, your prediction didn't come true, as you said you'd have to wait one more week, as it stands you're only waiting 3 more days.

Once again, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is the units and weapons pack will NOT be released this weekend (3rd and 4th of April), instead they will be released on Wednesday the 7th of April. The good news is that this relatively short delay will allow me to fix minor bugs, that would have otherwise been left (remember this will be a Public BETA, so perhaps the 'perfection' jibe I made was somewhat premature ). I will do everything in my power to have the units (and of course weapons) completed and ready to go by the 7th of April. Note: The new features are a suprise for release, so I'm not going to divulge them, not until release anyway . Sorry for the delay.

Over at The SJB Handgun Project Website you will find preliminary details about the forth coming series of Handgun Packs, being released by SJB. The series will comprise of 3 or 4 individual packs, containing 5 or 6 handguns (with several variations of each). Pack One, containing handguns such as, the Beretta 92F (Silenced, with more versions to come in Pack Two), the Colt 1911 (4 versions) and the H&K USP (5 variations) should be due for release sometime over the coming weekend (17th/18th of May). Several more weapons are planned, and will be disclosed closer to the time of release. Please post any opinions you may have on the pack. F.Y.I. The models are mainly imported from Counter Strike. The original authors will be fully credited in the read me file that will accompany each pack.

If I did, then nothing would be a suprise upon release, so I'll 'keep them under my hat' for now

I have good news and bad news (as always). I've decided to add a few new features to the weapons/units - thats the good news. The bad news is, its going to take me about a week to finalise these updates, so the release (which I was hoping would be sometime this weekend), will have to wait one week (at least). Sorry for the inconvenience, but if you want perfection, it takes time
-
@ruff: They'll have the BAS Delta ear-piece and throat-mic for now (thanks to SelectThis and BAS for that). JAM compatibility will be an option for a future update, but not the initial release. @Goob: The doctor model will be part of a future release, as I haven't had time to get it working correctly. Not long to wait now guys.

Not far from a release now. I'm not going to announce an official date, as I'm infamous for not keeping to them. But I'd imagine (version 1.0 of) the pack will be released by this time next week. Right now I'm just including the faces, and making final tweaks.
-
No, the Bruce Willis (Team Leader) character will not be wearing a hat (see the website for images and read the thread). If people want to create faces for the other cast members, that is up to them, I doubt I will be. However, having said that I WILL be including the Bruce Willis face in the pack (as said before not as a mandatory face for the Team Leader, but optional). That is, assuming Liquid Snake has no objections to the use of the face as part of the pack.

Yes, they're already part of the pack, as well as the silenced sniper version with a scope. @Cpt. FrostBite: The feet of the MK43 bipod have varying shapes, I've seen images of square, triangular, and round shaped feet, so I don't think its too big of an issue. @Everyone else: Thanks for your kind comments and suggestions

Not far from the finish line now. They will be going into a close-to-final (private) BETA over the weekend, where hopefully all major kinks will be worked out ready for release (exact date is still TBA). I've uploaded an updated image of the USP, which will accompany the pack (replacing the USSOCOM - although in appearance they are similar). Check out the new image at the 'TOS Weapons page'

Some-one mentioned about updates causing problems with missions/cutscenes due to the inclusion of new buildings etc. Easy way around that is to just change the PBO and class names. Won't have any effect then, and people can still use the old island for the missions that would otherwise not work correctly on the new island, and rename the extension of the fully functional versions to be used on the new one. Just an idea anyway. Good luck with it, and I hope we dont have to wait too long

In that case its DEFINATELY staying as part of the pack

I kept hitting refresh after I made my post Nah, I've got notifications on for this trhead, so I get an e-mail when a reply comes in. Quite handy. I'm starting work on the soft ammo bag thing now. Will post progress screenshots later or more likely tomorrow.

I'll make another version AS WELL AS the hard-box version, to satisfy most needs
-
Not only have I uploaded a 'Postcard from Cuba' image (check the above link to the unit page), I've just gained permission from Cheeky Monkey to use his M60E3 model for the pack. I've modified it into a very "shexy" (to quote AK) MK43. Check it out at http://sjb.ofpr.com/tos/weapons/index.html Post feedback and comments/suggestions for improvement

I've uploaded an image, containing an animation made by Wilco, exclusively for SJB. It can be found at http://sjb.ofpr.com/tos....on1.jpg. Wilco's animation is on the left, and the animation on the right is possibly by Hunter, I can't remember

I had considered short/rolled up sleeves. However, to make this work correctly I would have to map the face texture onto the arms (to prevent players using black faces with being stuck with white arms and vice-versa). Having the face texture mapped onto the arms can look very weird, as it requires a lot of stretching of the texture etc. take the Nam Pack units for example. So, in the end I decided against doing this.

No, the SRT2 update is on hold until the SEALs are done. But, lets keep this on-topic
-
Thanks to BAS/Deadmeat, I've secured the use of their SatCom radio for use with the SEALs - screenshots to follow in a few days. Also, I've made the patrol cap like the one Zee and Red wear in the film. Check it out at the bottom of the TOS units page.

I doubt I'll make a special model with the mohawk haircut, as there are too many issues that accompany it. It would involve mapping the hair part of the default face texture (data\xichta.pac) to it, but this would cause problems when using custom faces which are for example all camo'ed....it would look very strange so this is not an option. Thanks for the offer on the helo's ExtracTioN, I'll think about it
