When adding fav ips to hosts.txt could it be possible to add the password for the server also.

Use a program like Powerstrip or Rage3d. Helps with gamma and brightness

Since I installed XP I've been getting the same thing. I have Radeon 8500. It seems to only come if I make some other window active while OFP is loading. Alt+Tab does the trick for me.
-
I had the same thing. First install normally. Then use the patch. Check the files that give out CRCerrors. Disable DMA (computer management - device... - ide ATA/100...). Boot and copy the files from the cd. Apply patch. Should work. I had the DMA disabled while doing all the patches. After everythings done enable DMA.

Same here. But usually only when I click some program while OFP is loading.

I'd pay anything for linux-dedicated.

I haven't had any chance in getting T&L to work. There's always some glitches or crashing. So I'm playing without it.

Hehee.. I was away from this forum the whole time between my last post and yours. So quite lucky...

http://www.rage3d.com Download their tweaker and fiddle around with it. I also suggest enabling those keyboard shortcuts to change gamma/contrast/other while in game.

Aahhh... Rage3d rocks. I just disabled Game Gamma from it's DirectX tab and now everything works perfectly.

Hmm.. made some drastic stuff. Don't know which one of them did it but now I can make out almost everything. But if I go to the video settings the game goes back to dark.

Because i had a 14' for 5 years or so that got so dark i just had to replace it. You may have to do the same. If it's the monitor thats making it dark not the game. Its not because of the monitor. And all the drivers have had the same problem, for me atleast. Rest of the games I play don't ignore the settings I've made in windows. Can someone suggest some other programs besides powerstrip to configure gamma settings?

Way too dark... Newest drivers for Radeon 8500, monitor is set to max brightness, powerstrips gamma settings are to the max.. and still I cant see anything else except the sky. The game reverts back to some default settings and ignores mine.
