Man, this is a great update Ebud. The quality of the weapons and infantry is outstanding, and the island really gives you that feeling that your in the middle of a "serengeti" like country. I really prefer the look and feel of this over the older one, especially during sunsets.

Dang, Solus has better tech support for a personally made addon than Microsoft does for most of it's software. -

These are some freaking amazing effects, especially the dirt that gets picked up from bullets hitting the ground. I just had the BAS LittleBird do a straffing run in downtown Tatu, and I felt like I was literally in a movie with all the dust being kicked up and one of my AI's being dragged out of harms way in the street in the middle of a firefight. Outstanding work dude! I hope the effects in AA are up to par with this. Jocko. -

Russin, I have/had the same issue, with my Audigy 2 and being a 'Audiophile' nut, sounds mean everything to me, I gave up on OFP completely as it was the only game I played that was basically fubared by creatives latest Audigy 2 driver set. Question for the devs (if they even view this forum anymore) by using an older sound .dll file in OFP's base directory, will OFP use use this instead of the one in Windows system dir?

I had been putting off installing the EAX 4.0 drivers for some time because I know of this issue, but I have other games like most people that require the latest Audigy drivers... "also, the distant sounds seem very near" Yes, very annoying, and has totally killed the atmosphere in this game.

COOP nights on the Citadel are Mondays, starting at around 8 PM EST. Â I know alot of people prefer COOP over adverserial stuff, everyone is welcome to stop by.

The Phuoc Tuy Province island is a very nice island, lots of places to create missions, and it looks stunning. I have however ran into the issue of AI jets causing severe lag when they fly around the island. I think this might have something to do with to many 'radar hot' objects on the island, can this be corrected? Also, are there any plans to convert over NAM PACK 2's Ia Drang island to have Ebud's latest Ilo objects. I really like the layout of that island, and the new objects and textures would be a very nice compliment to it. Cheers Jocko -
The thing is I could care less to make SP missions Tex. playing by myself with OFP blowing away retarded AI is about as fun as watching grass grow. COOP and C&H Adverserial is where it's at. Â ;) Because we had so many Beta versions, and lots of testing with diferent things, most of my COOP's still need updating...

I sure hope that when you start talking about weapon textures you know what you are talking about... Theres a difference between a guy that slaps a flawless .jpeg texture on the side of a gun at the expense of CPU cycles, and the guy that actually uses a texture format suited for OFP and makes it look decent... .paa and .pac

I do belive it can be fired from either position... If you remember during the war those group of Marines by the road side preparing the Javelin to be fired, when the Javelin Operator yells 'Theres something wrong with the missile!' He was crouching... When the pack is released, an animation update ***MIGHT*** be possible at a later date for the Javelin System, you will have to ask Suchey about that though...

The pack is aimed at the MP 'Realism' crowd, specifically the Wargames Adverserial ladder. You won't find any 'Hexenkesal'/CS BF 1942 brain mush maps in this league. The league utilizes OFP the way it was meant to be played.

Problem with the M249 and OFP is it's high ROF, 800-900 RPM if I am not mistaken. The sounds you apply for a high rate of fire work great when you test them on desert island, as soon as you start using them in MP, or in a situation where the FPS drops below 40, the audio begins 'clipping', and the game engine slows down the ROF to try and compensate for it. YOu could use 'SondContinuous' true, but then you lose the 'reverberation' effect after firing bursts, and it sounds very crappy...
