This dosn't sound like an Operation Flashpoint problem? It sounds like it's more likely to be a problem with USAF. ;-) But just to help out it sounds like you have an ABIT motherboard with an on-board Ultra DMA 66 controler. There are new drivers for the UDMA Controler at ABIT.com. If you don't have an ABIT MoBo then try a USAF website for more information. Good Luck!

sudden texture disappearing inside campaign

Drivers should fix that issue. But you're running a beta patch (1.29). After the driver upgrade, Uninstall OFP & reinstall OFP 1.20 and patch to 1.30. -
You can move and resize that briefing / notepad thing. With your maouse click and drag it to any point on your screen you like. Double click on it and it will switch between two different sizes. This is true with all the items on that screen. Hope that helps and that I understood your problem. GOOD LUCK!

Is it new since 1.30? if so: 1.) Make sure you have all the newest drivers for your hardware. (If this didn't fix it move onto the rest of the following suggestions). 2.) Uninstall Operation Flashpoint. 3.) Delete your addons folder (remains after an uninstall) 4.) Reinstall Operation Flashpoint 5.) Reapply patches (1.20-1.30) 6.) Pray that works. (It did fix other problems for me) GOOD LUCK!!!

Create a mission, then spectate?
Jason Alaska replied to WheelchairWho's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
As long as you don't have any Shilkas on your map use the new Kiowa Scout Helecopter with an AI to fly you from point A to B. Use the mast mounted camera and 20x zoom and watch the action from a gods eye perspective. Easier to control then the seagull and no messy cleanup! -
Thank you a million times ;)

Right off the main page. Thanks I found it. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/index2.html -
How the heck do you make a capture and hold map? I want to make one that has flags as objectives, just like the mission that ships with OFP, "Sector Control" So there are 5 or 6 objectives for the taking. Then how do you modify the score for each objective? Last... How do you make resistance friendly to east-forces on one side of a map and friendly to west-forces on another side of the map? Is it even possable? Thanks in advance!

Where did you find it? Can you please post a link. -
TwIce, Stay with it... That one is a tough one. But get used to it... There are some harder ones to come! ;-) Just remember to lay-low, go-slow, shot-fast! I must have tried that mission 10 times. I doubt Damage Inc was playing on veteran mode. And no the "Cheat" method doesn't keep a running archive of saved games. It just keeps over-writing the last save game. That's better in my opinion... And MUCH faster.

Map Idea too good to pass up!

Rob, Well I guess I better get to work on it then! Thanks for the feedback... I'll hurass you more as I come up with questions. Thanks again! -Jason- -
I am a begining mapper but have a great idea I would like to throw to other mappers because I would love to see a series off maps of this style. But I have not the skill for something of this magnitude. You know the official map "Sector Control"? The one where there are five flags to capture around a small town. I would love to see "Sector Control" taken to a larger scale and play it on half an island with each sector being a different town or strategic eliment. It would have to have AI as good as that in "Sector Control" so they would actively try to sieze objectives a town or two away. Vehicles and players might need to be able to respawn. Can respawn points change based on who holds an objective? If so as one team gains ground, they also start respawning closer to the front lines as they capture territory. Thanks to anyone considering this!

Do you want to take it on? I'd like to ssee it done right but I am a far cry from being there. The AI needs waypoints assigned to them. If the waypoints are far apart they need to only go to the objectives still to be captured. Not just in a round robin fashin as they do in Sector Control. Is there anyway I can take "Sector Control" and move the objectives around? Then all there is to do is add some resistance in town friendly to one side in the east and friendly to the other team in the west. Vehicles respawning at main bases. Respawn points that move around and AI inteligant enough to know which towns to move to and how to get there effeciantly. All that and all I have ever done in the editor is open it place a few guys. And then set out to kill them. Humm... Anyone want to take this on?
