  1. Then just double-tap Alt, and you are locked in Free-look mode :) Double-tap again to get back to normal.
  2. Better ask Xeno about that, in the Domination-thread :)
  3. Really nice menu! Thanks!
  4. That is the action to use the current selection the in action menu with the left mouse button. People wanted to be able to unbind the left mouse button from the action menu, which wasn't possible before. Indeed it is a missing string entry though.
  5. Whether it is or not Chernarus is barely big enough to make use of the stealth. At the expected ranges of engagement any remotely modern radar would 'burn through' anyway ^^

    HK-G3 Sniper Rifle

Oh, there *are* curved 30rnd 7.62mm mags. I definitely don't think they are produced by H&K though, and I have no clue about their reliability or why anyone would want to use them. Seen pictures of a G3A3 with 30rnd mag though. Thanks for the nice piccies though :)

    HK-G3 Sniper Rifle

Thought they use (or at least used) a licence-produced variant of the HK33? Well, nvm. Shouldn't derail the thread more I think. :P And yeah, there are slightly curved 30rnd mags for 7.62x51mm, but they are huge. Ver long, and very much in the way. Pretty much impossible to use prone without getting way too high for safety ^^

    HK-G3 Sniper Rifle

Yep. The HK32K uses 7.62x39mm. Used by the Mexicans and probably more. Not a G3 though :)

    HK-G3 Sniper Rifle

Of course he means 7.62x51mm. EVER heard about a 7.62x39mm one? However I've never ever seen a curved 20rnd G3 magazine either, so I understand the questions. Only curved mags I've seen are for 5.56mm variants like HK33, Turkish variants of it, and the CETME L. I have seen modifications of the G3 with a M4 buttstock though, so that'd work.
  10. Try High or Very High memory settings to start with. :S

    WarFX Particles

Ahh.. Just since there are problems with certain sprites under certain conditions as it is I thought that it was what could have happened to some of your stuff, but if it's *all* the custom stuff I guess I'm royally wrong :P

    WarFX Particles

Ohhh, those effects will get hotted up too? Nice to hear! Really looking forward to the next release! As for the squares it might be your videocard that simply bugs out when it comes to the alpha of sprites. I believe it's a quite common problem for ATI cards if that is what you use (and it definitely is for me).
  13. Nice proof of concept, Nouber! Keep it up! :)
  14. They are still obliged to care for any PoWs they have. This means that if they capture half a batallion with mostly wounded soldiers they MUST give them sufficient medical aid. It can thus become as much of a chore to win as to lose, unless you actually kill instead of just incapacitate them.

    ATI Adaptive AA?

Increased 3D resolution makes the engine render the game at another resolution than the displayed one. If you choose a higher resolution than the display resolution it works (in the end) like AA. While if using lower it works like reversed AA, forcing the rendered screen to be 'stretched' to fit the displayed resolution.
  16. And yep on both smoke up and down happening. The dust along the ground is the actual shockwave kicking up dust. The mushroom cloud is created by two things: The part of the shockwave that goes downwards into the ground and bounces on the ground, reflecting upwards, and the vacuum bubble that 'sucks' in dust and air to reach a normalized air pressure. That is why ground level detonations don't really get a mushroom could, but just a crapload of kicked up dust and dirt, while low and medium altitude air bursts are what creates the iconic mushroom clouds.
  17. There's no point in a mutliplayer client. By removing the campaign and default missions in the game you'd save a whopping 43 megabytes of disk space. Since the rest of the game is like 10GB anyway I don't think 43MB makes a difference.
  18. Pretty, pretty soldiers! I looove the soldiers with only telnyashka, beret and combat vest! Looks like they are straight out of the movie '9 Rota', which is a wonderful thing in my eyes! Got to love the bear too! Really looking forward to this addon!
  19. Holy friggin sweet news, Sickboy! I just wet my pants!

Is your DVD in the drive?

Of course it's not in the DVD drive. I always run betas!
  21. The ACOG sights in ArmA2 is a newer model without the backup sights. I guess this is where 'gamey' crosshairs come in, since you'd be point firing the rifle up close, and simply using the gamey crosshairs is the closest you'll get to that in ArmA2.

Demolish of body parts [Feature request to BIS]

Gibs is completely unecessary eye-candy, with lots of design trouble to get it to work properly. Absolutely zero need. Enough with more variation of wound-textures if absolutely necessary.
