Yes, after about 20 hours playtime there is an Invasion (Some BMP/Shilkas and Infantry). You get rewarded for killing their leader. There are 20 Civ slots and 12 Cop slots so there should be min. 1 cop for 2 civs but it's always better to have more than 1 cop per 2 civs. We thought about that a lot, but we didn't really find something we could use as a goal. In other rp games the goal is to reach a high level and complete all quests, which would be getting rich and doing some jobs in SL. Grettings, issetea

You can download and host the whole client side addon pack and the whole client side mission. The only thing that is not downloadable is a single addon file which is only needed on the server in order to run the mission. The needed Server Side addon for newer versions is not downloadable, because we get told that some people still want to steal our code over and over again. The Page/Servers are down due to a DDoS attack with more than 50 IPs (and a total of 400Mbit/s traffic) involved. The reason for this attack is a guy who got banned recently for insulting other players. Before he got banned he said that he will hack the servers if he really gets banned, and - of course - he got a 24h ban and five minutes later all our servers went down. Again it seems like it's time for the developers statement, after gc made up a lot of negative propaganda again and people seem to blindly believe it. "Stealing Code?" At first i can only repeat myself and say that we (Fewo and me) scripted the whole mission on our own. We do not use scripts created by other people, which is a fact. If you have proof for stolen code then post it, but otherwise shut up. "Our 1337 mega l33t version is much better :p [refering to the stolen map]" First of all, it is not your map, since you stole all the code. Everything that was done is change some easy to change variables, place some things on the map, make a huge changelog out of all these little changes which do not even deserve to be mentioned and of course remove (or as in the latest version: hide) the original credits. Oh yes, and stealing bugfixes from new SL versions of course ;). "Hacking?" It is said that I tried to hack the other multiple times Forum before I got banned? Before i got banned? - wrong. Multiple times? - wrong. really trying to hack something? - wrong. Used a wrong username one time - there might be something true about that. But many people seem to see me as a master hacker now ;D. I would rather think of gc as hacker, since he stole the whole mission. "Stopping to develope Sahrani Life?" I never asked anyone about "giving up", but if no one was interested, why should one develop something which is not used. AFAIK even BIS stated that the won't fix ArmA2 if no one buys it. But since it seems like enough people like our mission, we continue developing the mission. "You *** made the mission only playable on official servers?" Yes. Much of the code can't be stolen that way, and we are really sorry, that many admins can't host the new versions anymore. "You failed xD" We created the most complex mission for ArmA, and we did not fail. Only the people hacking our code fail in creating an own mission. "License? wtf?" First of all i want to mention that some people might say that it is just a mission - yes it is a mission we and our supporters worked two years for. Quicksilver even resisted on the copyright of a single small picture (btw you do not permit the usage of a picture for sl and still want to play sl?). About the Copyright and the rights on the Mission: As Fewo and me created all the code with a text editor on our own, we have the rights on the mission. It does not modify Armed Assault, decompile parts of it, did reverse engineering or gave parts of the Game away (which is what is forbidden referred to the german ArmA License). btw if you write a book using Microsoft Word, the book does not belong to Microsoft anyway and in case you develope a program using an IDE, your program is not the IDE developers property. Since mr.gc did steal the whole mission (which is pretty obvious) and stole the whole code owned by Fewo and me, he did not only commit a crime, but also he disrespectfuly removed all credits of the people who worked on the mission. Not only our names were removed, but also the names of all betatesters and other supporters. When playing any version of SL, keep in mind that Fewo and me worked more than two years for you, while mr.gc just stole the whole code in order to keep his forum alive, because he is not able to script a mission on his own and IIRC he even said on the forum that he makes profit with ads on his page. We do not claim copyright or authorship for the concept of an rpg mission or the gameplay elements in it or anything which is owned by Bohemia Interactive, but solely the code for this particular mission. We do not want our code to be stolen and manipulated by other people, who remove all these credits. Everyone is free to program his own mission, that can be as similiar to SL as it may, just don't use the same code. "Sahrani Life should not have an official Forum?" that mrgc started to make a forum for sl, that's ok. After some time he told me via ICQ that he was going to be a Forum, which deals with other mission types, too, so Fewo and me made an official Forum. Right after a first post, that we make an official Forum (even without advertising that forum), Fewo and me were banned and gc started a flamewar against us, by directly claiming that Fewo and me let the community down. Hm... letting the community down by creating a mission and an official forum? It would be very kind if anyone could tell me how that is possible. Even other people who tried to defend us were directly banned, the topics were closed and the posts edited. "Haha, SL has no Future!" SL has a future as long as Fewo and me decide to keep on working for the community and we get supported by enough people who kindly help us with testing and suggestions. We are still working on the next version: Sahrani Life 1.33 which will have new features such as stat saving after map restart or server crash. "I don't like you, what can i do?" If you do not want to support Sahrani Life and its creators, then don't play it - But also do not hack the code, while hacking and stealing is something that most of you declared as a bad thing ;) "Troublemakers playing SL?" "Who keeps SL alive" The other forum kept Sahrani Life - alive? What about saying Sahrani Life kept the inofficial Forum alive? At least without such a mission that forum would have never existed and even without the forum, enough people were interested in Sahrani Life. The mission is kept alive by the creation of the mission itself. "ROFL you want to go to court xD" I am going to court? Who said that? Threatening with further steps? I suggest having a look at gcs post on the BI Forums: "I Warn you, don't go to far with your claims [...]" "OMFG you let down the community!!!!" We let down the community? As long as the 2 years developing the mission FOR THE COMMUNITY means letting it down, yes, otherwise, no. We did not care about suggestions? Oh well, someone has to script all the code since we don't steal it as some other people (mr gc) do. It takes time to build in suggestions and every suggestion has its own priority, but we always worked and still work on it. He repeats that Fewo and me let the community down for a few months in the past? Fewo and me got banned right after our first post concerning a new forum, without even trying to recruit new members. If not enough players are interested in a mission, there is no sense in developing it. Since a lot of people told us that they want new versions of SL, we continue developing the mission.

"as you stopped developing for many months" Well, in fact were working on new versions all the time with a small break of one week. Where do you think the new version come from? About the new features: We need time to write the scripts, so you can't expect anyone to come up with finished scripts right after the suggestions. We also have bugs to fix. You made a forum for SL and then we made one without trying to fight the old forum. Just after announcing a new forum i was banned on the inofficial forum. As said we decided to make our own forum for SL after you told us that your forum is going to be a forum which will also be about other missions. Anyway why should we not open an official Forum for our mission? That's like BIS without an official ArmA Forum. BTW why do you edit the mission and remove ALL credits from the mission? AFAIK since 1.00 we have a notice in the readme file concerning edits. And then you accused Fewo and me of stealing code? Again i have to tell you that we wrote all the scripts on our own.

The thing is that we coded everything in the mission by ourselves and now some people are stealing the whole mission and removed all credits and names and call it their own mission. We do not claim copyright or authorship for the concept of an rpg mission or the gameplay elements in it, but solely the code for this particular mission. We do not want our code to be stolen and manipulated by other people, who remove all these credits. Everyone is free to program his own mission, that can be as similiar to SL as it may, just don't use the same code. Since even the filenames of the stolen version (random numbers we use in the encoded versions) are the same and only a few scripts have been changed, I don't see why all the credits (even of all our beta testers and other supporters) are removed.

We created the forum in order to make an official Forum for SL players after we were told by gc that he will use is forum for other gametypes and missions, too. I do not want control over the community - we just gave people an official place where they can post their suggestions and problems concerning the mission we made for the community. As said on the official forum, we continue working on the mission and 1.26 may be released in 1-2 weeks including the following features: - fixed: Taxi mission - civ does not run away - fixed: starving message appears again - changed: vehicles now only despawn when the player who bought it disconnected - added: Guilds form groups - changed: workers do not disappear when the player dies - added: grenades for M203 in cop base - added: player can choose a button for the saytext tbh I have enough of the endless discussion and wrong accusations - Fewo and me finally made an official Forum for Sl players. We do not force anyone to join any forum. It is a forum for the mission we worked more than 1 year for - for the community. Anyway now it is too late and we have two different forums and we have to live with that.

We never tested with leaving AI on for the player slots so I think that most of the scripts would not work anymore. Leaving the AI on would just make some AI units stand around. Theoretically, the variables would stay, but many scripts would crash when it comes to checking if a player is ingame or not. In the next version guilds will form groups and workers will join these groups, too. Additionally workers will not die when the player dies. More infos can be found on the official SL Forum at www.issetea.de

Fewo and me finally decided to open an official Forum for Sahrani Life and other Projects me may work on in the future. We will also have a small scripting forum. You can reach the forum at issetea.de If enough people are interested in the official forum, we will continue working on SL and get a new HP and a Server for it. Greetings Issetea and Fewo edit: I just want to say that we don't let the community down. Fewo and me are always reading suggestions and try to include all of them. We are working on the map FOR the community and spend a lot of time on it and we even don't have much time to play our own mission, because we try to include the communities suggestions.

The 1.22 changelog does not say that the trunk and gear thing is changed. Both actions will stay in the game since the trunk action is important for resources and items and the gear action is important for weapons, while you can not check the weapons which are placed in the vehicle with the gear action in a script. 10k viewdistance is already changed in 1.23

The Mayor can set the taxes from 0% to 30% which increases all prices. In addition the mayor gets 75% of all taxes paid and he can set the laws. Guilds don't have anything to do with political points and they just exist because we didn't delete the scripts and may use them for something else in later versions. During most of the tests we don't have time to test factories so we didn't adjust the prices and resources yet. No one says that these are the final prices. ################################ While some of you complain about the high prices and that's impossible to use and reach everything (like factories) in 2 hours of play time, some other complain about the spreekillers or that people get everything to fast. We can't adjust everything in a few weeks working on the mission and we can't decide when the admins restart.
