    Well compare it with the trailer avaiable on youtube, it just looks like it... which is rendered (confirmed)and codemasters started hiring developers for OFP2 just about 6 months ago... Well G$ (gamestar) can write reviews, I don't care... until there are REAL screenshots out.

    I played Sahrani Life many hours and had great fun so far, so thanks for creating this mission . During playing some suggestions came to my mind... could be that sb. allready posted this but I wont go on reading 23 pages 1. Add police horns for police cars by scripts, this would be nice imho. 2. Add a server setting to set civil markers off or add a option changing the markers system so that nobody is seen and there will be a text message for a wanted criminal every time he gets close to a city instead. It is just too easy to hunt criminals as a cop. Doesn't also fit into into a rpg-map. Same goes for the ammo truck, cops can relax all the time as they dont have to bother searching for it, just need to use mh6 in the last minute and waylay it.

    FFUR-SLX 2007 2.0

    While playing the SP spec op mission where you have to destroy the fuel truck+depot I noticed that when you set off the satchels (been the whole time in stealth, proned, no enemy spotted me) the enemy knows instantly where you are as 2 seconds later the "enemy-positions" markers appear next to you. Maybe this is engine/script-limited but I would like it if this could be fixed.

    You could always try the older FFUR 1985 winter pack, it converts all the normal island (Malden...) to winter ones and replaces the units with units in winter camo. This way you can play all "old" missions in winter setting. http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=9120

    GDCE Stargate Conversion

    469.61 mb  Well the mini-mod has it's own configs and added data+ script stuff, so I don't know if the mission would work just with the required addons. But every stargate fan should have allready downloaded the mod... if not -> http://www.poconocomputerservices.com/stargate/ I also found there some replicators (sg3 pack) to download, but there's no readme and the example missions are empty. They look cool, though. Tanks are replaced by the Anubis Drone 1:3, means if you meet them it'll be like 2 Level 2 drones (can only be destroyed by one direct m136 hit) and 1 level 1 drone (4 P90 bursts will do the trick). edit: I created a "movie" with the stargate mod, has nothing to do with this map, but it shows some of the units and stuff, if anybody is wondering how the units looks like:

    GDCE Stargate Conversion

    I'm currently trying to convert the GDCE dynamic campaign template to a stargate campaign (it's the sci-fi series everyone should be aware of  , if not: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate ) Well the basics are done and it actually makes a lot of fun, but there's one problem... in tanks. Because Jaffa don't use tanks there's no tank addon yet. Deleting all missions concerning tanks would be a option, but then you would only play against infantry, so I'm trying to use other sci fi vehicles like those terran vehicles. They seem to fit from the looks, but their armor is just too strong... so I'm looking for other alien-like armor, if anybody has a link, please tell me. I also tried the Space Invaders Mod, but they're too insect-like. Well reason why I'm also posting here is to ask if anybody (myself excluded   ) would be interested at all in this map. So far I converted all the friendly and enemy spawns, some weapons and descriptions. I also added 6 stargates around Nogova, so there's an alternative way of extraction and insertion.   13. Hi, I'm looking for a script that will respawn a vehicle at a given pos and facing when using the action menu. It's not the usual mp respawn script as it's for a sp mission... (or does mp respawn work in sp? that's a question I found not to been answered) I wrote (it's my second "real" script besides camera.sqs and such things...) this script: (uavguy is the soldier where the script will be executed when coming close and using the action menu. DragonWar is the unit name of the vehicle as it appears in the config.cpp. Dragon is the name the vehicle is named in the editor.) uavguy sidechat "Sergeant Wilson, Sir. I'll get you a new uav in a second." ~2 titlecut ["The new uav is beeing prepared...","BLACK OUT"] ~1 skiptime 1 deleteVehicle dragon ~2 dragon= "DragonWar" createvehicle [1727.05,5436.77,2.00] ~2 titlecut ["Later...","BLACK IN"] So, when using this script it gives me some error like "variable name allready in use". This is most likely because the first vehicle is allready named dragon, but I deleted it by using deleteVehicle. So the second one should be created?! I know this is probably the error, but I don't know how to fix it.

    OFP Addon request thread

    I'm looking for the biscamel-addon without an installer. I searched a long time but only found the installer version. But I need the plain pbo... if anybody could upload it I would be grateful . It's because the installer won't let me install it because I have 1.96, it installs only up to 1.91 ( ). Â I really don't plan on reinstalling, installing patch 1.91, then the addon and then 1.96. edit: found it on ofp.info

    GDCE Stargate Conversion

    Just what I'm thinking  I switched to the DMA dynamic campaign template now, saving works better there. I added and modified some radio messages for better atmosphere like in the Rescue-pilot-missions. And you can now read the mission briefings given by the officers - set the delay to 3-4 instead of 2. 8 stargates in total now, you can drive with a MAT or MALB (manned) through it. You can also send a UAV (took a loooong time to find the right position for it to start so it doesn't crash right into the hangar) and I'm creating a script that will respawn it at order. SquadSize set to 8, it's too easy elseway. Instead of a tent, a pyramid will be seen in the destroy-base missions (in the raid-missions an obelisk, there you have to capture an enemy Goa'Uld) The nameless guys at base are no longer nameless for atmosphere... and say a few words (see screenshots down the re) Well it's nothing that new from the original template, but more can't be done because I lack the skills. I will try though. An Intro will be added for sure. I'm also using the Stargate FX pack, so there will be some music tracks played via the radio. When finished, I'll release 2 versions, one with HD Jaffa and one with not.     Is there a way to set the "breathing system" back to vanilla OFP Res? Imo sprinting is now completely useless because it really takes too long to recover from exhaustion. I looked through the config, but couldn't find the option, but it should be somewhere there, right ?

  19. Hi, currently I'm playing around with the Stargate Mod. There are also those deathgliders avaiable, which are defined as planes. Because of this, they normally don't attack infantry. I got around this issue by using invisible targets from Mapfact (see my video, they're aiming pretty good... ) Now I would like the deathgliders to attack moving infantry, but I don't know how, as the target always stays at it's position. I don't know much about scripting yet, but I know you can teleport units with the SetPos command. Is it possible to write a script that changes the invisible targets position, say, to the moving unit's position? I'm thinking of sth like this (pseudocode): #Update TARGET setPos Getpos SOLDIER ~0.5 #goto Update If it's possible, could somebody please write the right script for me or correct mine?
  20. Hi, I looked at the FAQ (the first 4 pages, actually) and searched for this topic, but couldn't find an answer. I created a sound and got it into the game via the description.ext. It shows up when used in triggers, but it only plays one time. I set the trigger to "repeatly", so it should work? Or do I have to use to use a script? If so, can somebody tell me how it's done? I just learned how to script the camera.

    Looping an audio file - how?

    Thanks for the help, the script is just fine I think. Got one problem, though  . I copied the script and it will start, but won't recognize my sound file, which I defined in the description.ext. The file is in Mission/Sound, so I wrote _object say "/Sound/file.ogg. I also tried putting the file just in the mission's folder and define it, but OFP still would tell me that the the sound wasn't found. Strange, since I can activate the sound through triggers  .

    FFUR/SLX 2007

    Hi, I think ffsx2007 is a great mod, howeverI got 2 problems with it : 1. The weapon sounds may be realistic, but imo it is not necessary to set the volume of them to Real life conditions, too. Especially, because in OFP changing "effects" volume also changes the dialogue volume. This way I'm forced to play at a non acceptable volume to hear birds, dialogue ect. - I'm not joking - my ears hurt when firing. 2. Everytime a cutscene loads, it won't start because of some missing p3d file. Because of this bug - I installed everything as said - I can't see any major cutscenes. Anybody knows how to fix this? I think I can workover the sounds, saw that wss-extractor on ofp.info, but I know nothing about that p3d. The error says cannot open object data3d\vysilacka.p3d or cannot open object data3d\znacka_slepa.p3d.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi, first, i want to say that i really like AA, had played OFP just in SP and some DM Action before. I Like the new ingame joining and many of the maps which were created like AirCav ect. I Like to fly choppers, repair enemy stuff and get it to the frontlines. But hey, if everything would be  I probally wouldn't post here. I know the following doesn't apply to everyone, but it may be worth a try... Imagine this: Player 123 finds a downed Mi17 on a AirCav-like mission. Player 123 is very happy. He recalls he has seen some repair trucks in the base. So, he repairs the MI17. Then Player 123 opens chat and types "Yeah guys, FRIENDLY, I REPEAT, FRIENDLY MI-17 in the air". Player 123 then flies to the base to pick up Dude1, Dude2 and Dude3. Remember that cadet mode is on. Player123 climbs down to ~40m and lowers speed. Exactly over the helopad. Now Dude3 picks up his LAW and shoots Player123's MI17. Player 123 thinks: "WTF?". Player 123 types, enraged by that behaviour: "WTF DID YOU DO? CHECK THE MAP YOU [iNSERT FITTING WORDS] OR YOUR TARGET IDENTIFICATION" As a result, Player123 is kicked.  I saw these things happen to more than one time. More than two times. More than three times. Countless times. In a UAZ, in a Ural, .... So, please: If cadet mode is enabled, check your target. If a target is RED BUT has a name, it is friendly. If not, shoot it. Check the Map for contacts, they're stored and updated. And, if you aren't playing in cadet mode, ASK if that helo/car/whatever is FRIENDLY or ENEMY. It isn't that hard, is it? And one request to the developers: Please, please change the color of the American pilots. Give them orange or red suits and helmets, so people won't shoot them anymore even when seeing them from a distance of 10m  .

    Random crashes - only OFP

    Hi, i've been playing OFP for quite a time (Wel... since the demo :P), but recently my OFP ist crashing, especially in MP. I got no idea why and what's the problem, but i can play other games like a half day and there's no crash. I think it might be a problem with my AC-97 onboard soundcard, because often just a few seconds before OFP crashes and my PC automatically reboots, i hear the sound crackle, sounds really strange, like its downsampled. Well if anybody got an idea i would be glad do hear it .
