  1. The only time I've noticed that Gossamer is when the tire's are all damaged. As soon as all 4 tires are damaged you will be kicked out of the vehicle and if you're outside the vehicle you won't be able to get into it. I haven't tested whether they only need to be partially damaged or not.

    I'm hoping that with XAudio they can possibly add in environmental effects and reverb.
  3. Where are you shooting them? Usually they go down in 1 shot with the 6.5mm rounds. Also the damage of the round is determined by the round itself and not the gun or it's attachments AFAIK. For example, if the muzzle velocity is 850m/s, it's still 850m/s with a silencer unless otherwise defined. I believe damage is calculated as (Velocity/Typical Speed) * Hit = Damage done. *edit* Maybe you have extended armor on which may extend to the AI units as well?

    The mission maker has to effectively put the weapons or weapon box in the mission. Also I believe the TAW virtual ammo box addon will allow you to select addon weapons, again though the mission maker has to add the TAW script into their mission.
  5. There is an animation of the bolt cycling, unless you mean having the soldier actually working the bolt. That would be nice.

    Good to hear! *edit* Quick question, are the API rounds supposed to be simulating the RAUFOSS Mk 211 round? Would it be possible to add a regular M2 AP round as well without the explosive effect?

  9. I can say that they work with R3F, M107, KSG12 and Flummi's USP. That's the only weapon mods I have installed and active currently.
  10. Shit happens, that's why it's an Alpha. At least the performance has been incrementally improving with every update.
  11. Yeah that's the new .50 cal hit particle effect. It's been in for awhile.
  12. I like that there are 2 sniper rifles added. Loving the Cheytac M300. I'm guessing it's supposed to be a future fictional model, the M320?

    There seems to be a mild dispersion effect with the M107, enough so that it's pretty easy to miss at 500m aiming center mass with a near still reticle and almost perfect zeroing. Not sure if it's intentional or not. Otherwise this is probably my favorite weapons addon.
  16. Hehe, these are the niche details and factors that just make ArmA so addictive. Also, to top that, I was testing this out some more and somehow managed to hit all 4 soldiers through the neck but only the first and last unit went down. I wonder if this is the precursor for a working body armor system?
  17. Something kind of cool I just noticed. I think higher caliber rounds are penetrating through units. I was using the Barrett in the R3F weapons pack and shot an Opfor in the head and saw a impact cloud behind him. Never seen it happen before. *edit* yep just tested it by lining up 4 units in a row and the Barrett killed 3/4.
  18. If there's a full moon you can actually see pretty well in game.
  19. They actually do light up the ground, but they have to be really really close. Tracer rounds use the same chemicals as a flare, just in smaller quantities. Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HMMWV_Tracer_Fire.JPEG I'm guessing that was taken with a slow shutter speed, hence the ghosting effect. That or it was taken inside the Matrix and that soldier is an agent.
  20. Video showing off the tracer effects. It also seems like the night vision has a bit better quality, it's not as bright and over gain. Also think the chopper pilot got a bit overzealous at the end :biggrin_o:
  21. Do you run object detail on high or standard? I read that having it on high alleviates that problem and since turning it on high I haven't noticed it happening as much.

    I recommend the R3F weapons pack. So far it's one of my favorite's.
  23. Just to clarify, is this where it looks like an object or texture flashes white for a second almost like a shimmer, or is this when a model goes back and forth between different LOD's a couple of times?
  24. Hmmm, I was actually gonna say I get less flickering and distant vegetation (Tree's especially) actually kind of looks a little bit smoother.
  25. Hardware PhysX wouldn't break anything for AMD users. AMD card's just can't benefit/do any of the hardware accelerated PhysX stuff though obviously. Anyone else notice the new power pole's going down the hill to the gas station at Agia Marina? I don't remember them there last build.
