Try the "Missing Addon Topic" in the Mission forum.

Couldn't have said it better. Avon Lady's OFP FAQ is legendary. You can't mention the OFP community without mentioning the OFP FAQ. Thanks for all the effort and hopefully we will see an ARMA FAQ as well sooner or later

I tend to think the opposite. Have you checked the girls at Break? The college humour on Break made me want to study in the USA.

That's nonsense! If you didn't live on the other side of the Great Slovak Ocean I would prove it to your face! Off course there are exceptions, but I am suprised by the stupidity of some students here, especially on the subject geography. And don't say it's because of the pot and the booze, I do both and it never degraded my brain one bit...

They should compile a vid like that of the Dutch. Especially students, some are so fucking stupid...

Forgive me my ignorance but which addon is it you're talking about?

Modern Armored Recovery Vehicles?
Ironsight replied to -ZG-BUZZARD's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Such a thing doesn't exist. -
Looks like a very nice addon! If I were you I would make it a bit less shiny but besides that, great work.

Hell I don't even have time for ARMA let alone stick around in OFP. It's not that I don't like good old OFP, but I just don't have time for either one of them. To quote Hellfish: It's a shame I know, but there's not much we can do about it. Unless Vibes will make a sudden return, he was an addon god...

OK let me explain this again. We had a goal when we started Bushfires which was: Bring the South African Border wars and various other African conflicts realistically in game. The goal was and still is to release a complete scenario and teach the player something on a conflict which hasn't been written much about. The fact that there are still a lot of things missing makes it incomplete and would make it an addon toy, which too many addons already are. We don't want to release it as it is because it just won't do justice to the real thing...

German M109, MARS, M113, M548 and M577
Ironsight replied to vektorboson's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Is it that hard to read? -
OK let me clarify some things. Regarding the small vehicle pack Miles has, the vehicle included were mission-wise fairly useless ingame (no weapons except for the Ratel-20), that's one of the reasons they never got released. Work has been done on other variants like a Buffel with GA1 20mm gun and Ratel-60 and 90's but I have never been statisfied with them (I couldn't live up to Vibes' quality). Second the infantry by Ebud, he made a very nice set of units but then the Tonal project and later Armed Assault came in, so work was halted on those. The older infantry by Vibes is far from today's standards so don't even ask for those. Third I would love to see South African units in Armed Assault and Operation Flashpoint however time is a big issue, not only for me, I hardly have even time to play any of the games let alone addon making. I hope to make a small mini-mod for Armed Assault around the South African theme but again, time. By the time it's finished the Next Generation PC game will hit the stores... The best thing you guys can do is wait for the work of the Bushwar mod for Armed Assault. They are 2 busy guys with one of them who is actually BTDT and I am possitive that they will bring the Bushwar scene ingame the way that we wanted to do so in the Bushfires mod.

That's why everything is going so slow today...

Yes, an interface is needed between BIS and the community. Someone inside BIS you can contact with issues regarding their products, website etc. A community manager is also a great marketing tool (remember the "Mission Making Contest"). Having a central person to contact is handy if there are issues on the forum or in the community as a whole (addon theft etc.). We need a new Placebo.

For what subject is it? If you want something OFP related, try military simulators, did that before as well.

The Strykers on 'Counterattack' mission are mad!
Ironsight replied to Commie's topic in ARMA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Allready mentioned a couple of times. The whole mission is bugged. There's is an easy fix though. 1. Press "shift" + "-" 2. Type "endmission" -
Retreat is not an option Bah I will play the campaign decently when BIS fixed the campaign to an acceptable level
-
Hehe that pretty much sums up my experience with that mission. Besides that I thought it was extremely unrealistic, 5 second after the mission starts you already get fired upon and then the camp gets overun by enemies. Just got back to the map and skipped the mission...

So? Cubans speak Spanish and use Russian equipment only as well

The Entire Campaign *May be Spoilers*
Ironsight replied to CoolSprog's topic in ARMA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
After counter attack things are going bad for me. Forgot the names of the missions but the Cobra gunship mission was just horrible. Then there's the set of missions starting with the refugee camp mission which are really buggy for me (wrong dialogs, waypoints not working etc.). I stopped from here because it is just a waste to continue playing... -

We don't need the CWR mod for this. BIS needs to get a fix out for the campaign up as soon as possible. -

It gets even worse when you get further into the campaign. A lot of bugs which really spoil the whole campaign, so far the campaign has been a major dissapointment to me -
Problem with the jeep crew in Somato Night Mission
Ironsight replied to Morlock's topic in ARMA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Totally agree the mission is absolutely horrible. To everyone who still has to play it, the endmission cheat is the only right way to play this mission. -
Thanks a lot for this Mr Burns! I am sure a lot of people will like this very much. Too bad some things are still missing though.
