An idea will be made in 1 month!

Arabs don't live in Afghanistan (except for AQ and UN/US imports), Afghans are made up of Pashtu's, Tajiks etc all of whom are central asians. Make some commercial buildings, how do all these BIS islanders get by without shops and cinemas and offices and car/furniture showrooms. -
FM are you going to make Mig023s as well since you've already got ht e basic model done, all you'd have to do is rework the nose, the intakes and the wings.

Aircraft air support built in script

Hallelulaj, Hudson I love ya buddy, Su-27IB, are you just making this or the whole flanker family? -
Thanks again I'll try this as soon as I get home.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent Config making tutorial the only one I could find was Brssebs basic one and Swordfishes auto config maker but neither have really worked out. Also shouldn't I find a config.cpp inside when I unpbo other files?
-
I do recall reading that the US army had borrowed canadian Wheeled APCs for Afghanistan.
-
The Addon loads but despite being untextured it comes up as a multi-limbed monstrosity textured in the normal OFP colours, theres no error report.

You're too good to us mate, the Mig-17 is probably the only jet aircraft in Flashpoint that actually operates at more or less it real life speeds (mach .98) Speaking of ground attack aircraft a MiG-15 UTI (two seat trainer) would be just the thing for those FIA types
-
Clearly I'm doing something wrong here, I've made a config file based on the original Kmarns international infantry file, but when I load up my pbo in flashpoint I get a Dali-esque monstrosity, is this something I've done wrong in oxygen or is it in the config? I did't think I had to worry about LODs in O2 because all I'd done was add a few pockets and pouches to the Kmarns model, do I have to draw up a whole new set of LODS because I'm renaming the model? Or is it because the config file still contains references to Kmarns textures?

Love the bomb cam script. can we have some more please? The Mig-17 is spoiled by it lack of ground attack capability which is its primary role in Albania and North Korea today, its such a shame to waste your kickass cannon effects on an AI that won't target anything ont he ground no matter how big it is, the addition of a few light bombs like the Kab250s that you already put on the IL-2 would be handy too.

Thanks mate I'll post my progress as and when I make it

The LAV-III seems a bit too tall and narrow, also as an APC I've used on exercises (my unit doesn't normally have anything to do with them) its missing one key feature, it's actually dark in the troop cabin of a Piranha, even with the lights on, is it possible to replicate this in OFP?

I still can't get the AIfastrope and extraction scripts to work
-
True, but not usually to countries that are at war with each other, China is probably the mot genuinely neutral country in the world in that respect.
-
They are nonetheless really nice, I need to figure out how to make Boonie hats and hoods, and bare arms
-
Oooh the Irish army uses the PIII 8x8 with a remote control 12.7mm turret, what fortuity that this addon should arrive just as I start work on an Irish infantry pack.

The J-10 is not even in the same weight class as the Typhoon, it is in fact a single engined, delta winged single tail, canard equipped light fighter in trhe F-16 class and rumoured to have been developed with covert assistance from IAI hence the strong resemblance to IAIs cancelled "Lavi". However the purchase of Su30mks threatens the future of the J-10 in PLAAF service and it seems unlikely that the J-10 will ever become the large scale J-6/7 replacement that was intended. On the other hand it has a potentially lucrative future replacing many aging and obsolete aircraft in the armouries of Pakistan, and China as always will export to anyone who isn't actually at war with them on the day of hte sale.

Does the radiator present the same weakness that it did in RL?

New ONS Canadian units out!
Imshi-Yallah replied to CanadianTerror's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Why don't you just edit them yourself for individual missions, that way you'll have the option of using default resistance troops as an enemy for them -
Why not use a tripod and seat configured weapons system like the RBS-70 or Mistral? Both these systems are old but effective and plausible exports to a small country, (the RBS-70 is the Nucleus of Irelands admittedly very limited battlefield air defence system) and the French tend to sell to anyone due to the huge number of people reliant on defence industry jobs.

Emm actually Mi-24s are produced with a choice of 4 barrelled 12.7mm, double 23mm or 30mm cannon as chin turret fittings and/or in pods (th cannon only) or both, which has been a popular option with poorer countries a rocket+ multi-cannon option being cheaper than missiles but still giving much bang bang

This has been released recently by the Campaignas Malvinas Mod, its of excellent quality and better suited to Angolan ops than the Frenchpoint super puma. Keep an eye out for Colonial wars Alouette III also, its not released yet but its just a shame to go to war in africa without one.
-
Em you realise that Angola doesn't actually feature much if any desert, trust me a SA acquaintance fought there. They used Pumas for black ops insertion btw.

Swimming and amphibian planes
Imshi-Yallah replied to philcommando's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I could see potential here for a map featuring all of PCs objects and a beautiful sea/lake section of the map using his other suggestions. PhilCommando have you been talking to any island builders about incorporating your objects? -
He's describing the Israeli RAM family of AFVs Hope I was of assistance, hopefully the lost brothers will have one in the works as they were of particular use in hunting down terrorist infiltrators in the desert, and therefore became quite popular with some of the long range Sayerets
