    Anyone? Just to clarify what Im talking about are static vehicles with crews that will allow players to lay out defensive positions and fairly elabourate gate defenses, watch towers etc without having to faff about with setpos commands etc. Key components would be the vehicles themselves and then appropriate cargo/gunner/commander animations.

    Anyone else bored of fighting in grim abandoned cities or rural wastelands, how about a nice shiny holiday resort island? Mostly wildeness witha few developed areas featuring holiday activity areas and one big sewage processing plant or something similar inland with the rest being wild and a few scattered builinds?

    Im aware of them but they were objects and had all the associated problems of trying to get the AI to use them, setpos and switchmoves allround. No integral weaponsystems

    aside from the obvious mission incompatability (no cargo proxies) and the lag it would cause (since the boats are used in 4s and 5s) and lastly carrying over the cripts would be very difficult for those who dont know what thier doing. Hmmm a poorly considered suggestion on my behalf, but what I reallly should have asked was could the multi gun script be used on a PBR replacement...which you answered already.

    The units are excellent, as is the patrol north mission up to the point where it ended automatically when one of my squads wanderd 300m off the axis of advance, thats perhaps a bit sensitive. The automatic helmetstateshift is really the business though.

    There will be basic island bugs, and then there will be bugs with the integration of the new buildings, if you release a beta with editor builldings it will be easier to tell the two apart.

    Klink is there any possibility of deliberately seperating a weapon component and having it operate independantly as a "Normal" vehicle. What Im thinking of here is detachable support weapons or parasite combinations, like an armoured car "Strapped" to the deck of a boat that can then roll ashore and fight on.

    Klink you are the king, I'd ask you to do a PV for the Irish DF pack if the project wasnt dead in the water (argh pardon the pun). Would the presence of the gun positions interfer with other features like a stable deck to walk on when stopped or deployable RIBs? 60-75m patrol boats would provide very versatile gaming platforms with the option to use them as mobile gun platforms, static playing areas (which AI couldnt really use on account of being thick ) Or mission start/briefing areas for troops heading towards the shore. Finally how difficult would it be to convert existing addons with the multi turret technology? Would it require a major refit of say the USCG block Island to make the HMGs work without sliding around the place as independent objects? Thanks again Imshi

    Well apart from the cowardy custard political swipes this topic has another purpose. Erm Stupid question time, but would an 80m patrol vessel be longer than a single object in OFP can be? If so would having a multi part vessel with extra weapons stations be too horribly complicated to run on mortal PCs? Its just that these riverine vessells will be little more than super gucci technology demonstrators until someone invents a decent river for OFP. Yours Grovellingly Imshi
