    Real weapon sounds

For the person who started this thread, just download Satchel's sound pack and all your worries will be over.

Which assault rifle best suits you?

Well, the G36 made it easy in the test so that would be my choice. But it's no fun. Therefore I choose the AK74. That weapon makes me feel very secure for some reason. I can take people out with it at ranges of 400+. It's definately my favorite. Oh yeah, the AK74 + grenade launcher is even better, but that wouldn't be fair to use in your test

What is your most favorite era of war

I've always had an interest in the German side, mainly. The reason why is because it was an unique army, in more than one way, sad enough Also, the scientists had the freedom to experiment with the most ridiculous designs, some of which actually worked. And elite troops like the SS could only be under an insane regime like the Nazi regime.

    Best addon ever

I voted the AGS17 by Kegetys, since that's the only addon in the list with the quality of an official addon, in my opinion. It's the best addon I've downloaded recently. Other favorite addons not mentioned are of course Satchel's soundpack and also the island from OFP Internals. I just can't stop toying around with it.

What is your most favorite era of war

WW2, the European theatre of war. I don't know if any of you who voted for WW2 experience the same thing as me, but it's frightening sometimes how much I actually know about it. Must be cause I read books about WW2 out of interest and therefore remember a lot of it. I've also always been fascinated by the Crusades and the wars with the Muslims in the east.

I mean, the guy mentions a cow jumping off a bridge and she actually finds a pic of a cow on a bridge. I'm stunned.

How should we refer to ofp: resistance?

I think Opres would be convenient. Or just OFPR. Short 'n simple.

And the argies are going home!

Crap! I had my bets on Argentina. Now I guess Brazil will become world champions again. With these developments, it's even more of a shame that Holland didn't get to be on the Worldcup.

    Nordic runes

Osterreich is Austria in English. Back on topic: I have this book on the history of Europe in which the whole runic alphabet is listed. I also re-read page 1 of this topic and the lightning symbols in 'SS' are mererly two times a runic 's'. The swastika was an old runic symbol. I stood listed under the runic alphabet, amongst other symbols that represented something, like 'good fortune', 'sun' and things like that.

    Nordic runes

By the way, The swastika and lightning thingies in the 'SS' logo were runes as well, am I right?

    God

A topic about Religion. My two cents about this. Religion amazes me, actually. Not because I believe in God, although I think there must be something beyond our grasp out there. The reason it amazes me is that loads and loads of people embrace their god and religion and just take it for granted. For instance, a storm destructs their house and they say "Oh, it must've been God's will" And what about muslims that are willing to die for their god? What's up with that? How did religion become such a big thing in their lives? Could it be poverty? Yes, maybe it is poverty that causes man to cling to religion as some sort of a last straw. When all hope on Earth has failed, why not put your confidence in something you can't see? Something that's said to be all-powerful and loving? Really, before I start believing in God there's got to be some proof. I guess some people are 'desprerate' enough to believe in an uncertainty.

    Where are they now?

Great thread, Fubar, cause I've been wondering the exact same thing. People promise all kinds of stuff and just can't seem to actually release it.
