I read on a website that BIS is making a new game called "Operation Vietnam" It is like Operation Flashpoint, only in Vietnam, and we will be able to pick up our wounded and stuff like that. They are using the same engine and all. It should be pretty cool.

Hey Ralf wiffum. The reason my argumant still stands agains it when you talk about Binladen is cause he attacked/killed civvies. And noticed, I always was talking about when taking out the "enemy". THose civilians in NY were not military or anything, just civvies. That is why he is just a bastart. THe only thing he did that was out of line was attacking civvies/killing civvies. ALso, he is our enemy. ANd a real bastard ofcourse, I don't needto mention. You can look at my above posts and notice that I was strickly talking about the "enemy" and not civvielisans or non-combatants/ people not involved. Sorry, but I had to defend my piont. Please, I am going to sleep, before I start to fuck up my typing more.

Yeah, when I was saying "arrogant", I was talking about thinking to be "morally superiour". Yeah, as for "All's fair in love and war and NATIONAL DEFENCE". Yeah, it's an old saying. But the idea still applies. It just means that sometimes you gotta do ruthless stuff when dealing with the "enemy". It may not be "fair", or anything, and it may make you even feel sick to do it. But sometimes you gotta do ruthless stuff that are not conventional in order to gain the advantage. Spec ops is a very general example of that. So is the sniper. and alot of other things that we have in modern warfare and national defence. Things that we the public know about, and stuff we are probably not aware of too. Basically, yeah we got rules and all. But sometimes, well, ... you understand the basic idea of what I'm trying to say. And I am very sleepy right now so I am not that articulate right now.

All I did was to quickly jump into a Jeep with 2 other black op Law soldiers and head for the long main road along the north of the map fast. Park the jeep behind some trees, and then wait on the edge of the trees looking onto the road to wait for Guba to pass. As his car comes by, I shoot at the tires with my MP5, it stops. I take out the other Russian soldiers and stop Guba, my 2 other Black op/Law men are there on the hill to back me up incase an enemy tanks comes on in, (which usually does if you take too long to nab Guba. Grab guba, and head back into the trees before the enemy tanks comes rolling by. Hop back into the Jeep with guba and your guys, and make back for the base as fast as possible while staying offroad to avoid drawing enemy fire. Drop em all off at base and then head for the SCUD as fast as you can. Take it out and hide and wait for mission to end. Bing bang boom, a perfect fast paced Spec Op kidnapping mission done quickly without drawing alot of attention.

Tex, Well, I don't think we have any reason to attack Iraq, but why do you keep using the "morality" argument? I don't think morals have anything to do with a war. How can you claim that we are the good guys and should play by the rules and all that with enemies?? We are no more good or honest than alot of other countries. Â In fact we have done alot of evil things in our past. Â We can't just look at the flag waving and listen to partiotic and keep on thinking we are the good guys of the world no matter how much we think we are. That is just one reason why I don't think you can apply morals in military combat. Â I mean also, it is just two sides doing whatever it takes to win. Even if it means getting down and dirty and doing things that are not so "fair" in order to win. Â There is no right or wrong to it, (as long as you are dealing with the enemy and enemy soldiers that is) I don't think that anything to get the advantage over the enemy can be called "unfair" as "fairness" doesn't exist in war, or national defence. Â Havn't you heard "All's fair in love and war"? I say if we are going to take Saddam out, I see no reason why we shouln't sneak into the country and assasinate him, all covert like. Â That woulnt lessen us to anyone's levels. Â We would just be doing whatever it takes to take out the enemy and get the job done. I dunno, I am just very sleepy, but that train of thought just seems very arrogant, naive, and unrealistic to me.

Ofcourse everyone has bias. What's your point? If you have an opinion or point of view on something, then you are biased. I think vanilla ice cream is good, but I am biased. I am biased towards vanilla ice cream instead of chocolit. What's your point?

Aculaud, didn't you say you saw an American soldier on hte chopper base in the sp mission "Sniper team" where you had to assasinate the 3 Spetsnats? Where is he?

M*A*S*H was a great show. And the reason it was so bad at showing the war in Vietnam was because it was showing the war in Korea. It was great humor. Still a great show. I don't know why other people my age don't like it.

God, I wonder how many potatoes you could fire off in there before needing to reload. Imagine if someone went nuts with that thing. It is prolly powerful as hell and has alot of range. Someone could cause alot of havoc with that thing.
-
Well then I can say that I am glad I havn't gotten resistence yet. I can't wait til I do. But I won't buy it until all the bugs are fixed up. I suppose that will happed when GOTY edition comes out.
-
Yeah, I forgot the name.
-
Hey Tovarish, what about military schools in the U.S. or in Canada? Isn't that the same thing? But suddenly because it is being done in Cuba it is all of a sudden evil tyrannical propoganda? All countries encourage their young to join the military. Even in the states here.
-
I thought that publicly the U.S. was on Iran's side, but secretly were selling weapons to Iraq in order to fuel the war and make money. That was some scandal that I forget the name of.

Hitler was a sick twisted man. But I would certainly not say that he was an idiot. He was an intelligent military strategist, and passionate public speaker. Plus, he came damn close to conquering Europe. (Not an easy feat I'd say) He made a few grave errors which cost him the war. I don't remember them off hand since it has been some time since my last history class. Like I said, while he was evil. He was no dummy. He's one of those people who could have done incredibly good things had he not chose the twisted path he did.
-
I can't wait to get Resistence! I will buy OFP GOTY edition when it comes out I hope!
-
The far side was good too.
-
Ach, not another "favorite music/band" post!
-
Oh, and maybe some Marines in full dress uniform too. That would look cool. Like for a parade!
-
Hey, I wanna see some modern Marines in full camies and face paint. Wouln't that be cool? With those pointed covers and all. And maybe some real "special forces" soldiers with face paint and boonie hats.

Hey, I don't remember this Ralf wiggum person being a mod!
