Just build yourself a jetpack. Many people do it as home projects. You can even find instuctions on the internet.

But before I do, a few questions/comments to be sure about. The singular unit, and squads will all be western. Be careful because there are several Russian squads patrolling. I don't want him to join a Russian squad. Also, "Location A" is the final destination for all the western units. According to the way you described it, it didn't look like it would work out that way. Lastly, Jeppelykle said above that I need to use a trigger that "repeats all the time". What does that mean? Also Bart Jan, where do I put both those "code samples" you put up?
-
Ok Bart Jan, I'm gonna try yours. Um, here goes nothing.

You mean to tell me that gaurd waypoints will cause gaurds to chase after spotted enemy soldiers, and that seek and destroy waypoints will cause them to simply return to their patrol after the enemy has left sight?? It would seem like it should be the opposite. Â Please tell me if maybe I just read wrong. Â This could be an important detail.<span id='postcolor'> Ok, can someone give me an answer to this? This still has me confused.

Ok, I'm making a mission starting with a chopper(special: flying) flying to a waypoint to "unload" at a designated point. I want to put a couple black ops in the chopper when the mission starts so the black ops will unload. How do I do it?

Hey, can any of you figure out what kind of mission I'm making? Unfortunately I think I kindof made it obvious with my questions. Â

How to put soldiers "in cargo"
IceFire replied to IceFire's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Ok, some new question. Here's what I need to figure out to do. 1) I am placing several Russian patrols in an area. What I want to happen is if ANY of the Russian units sees, and engages a western unit, surrounding( in about 100 yards around the area where western unit was sighted/engaged) Russian units will move in to help engage any Western units. Is that possible? And another unrelated question. 2) A singular western unit will be running in a direction. Other squads will be moving in a direction(or just standing static) that may cross paths with the first singular western unit. If for example "squad A" encounters the singular unit, the squad A leader will "join and lead" the singular unit, and then they will all move to a specific location on the map called "Location A". If the singular unit, and "squad A" do NOT encounter eachother, the singular unit will continue to move on to "Location A". and "squad A" will move to another location, and then continue on to "Location A". There are OTHER squads around. If "squad B" encounters "singular western unit", the squad will take command of singular unit, and then proceed to "Location A" just as "squad A" would. There will also be squad C and D. All the same thing. If any squad does enounter and "joins and leads" singular unit. All other squads immediately change course or start moving on to "Location A". If singular western unit makes it to "Location A" alone, all other squads will immediately start to move to "Location A" as soon as "singular western unit" gets to "Location A". Is this possible? What would I have to do? So far I have a good basic knowledge of how to use waypoints, "move", "join and lead", etc.. And I know how to use triggers, and how to sync triggers to waypoints, how to sync waypoints. But I am still new to creating my own missions. If all that I said is possible, is there anything I should look up to learn how to do it(if it's all too complicated to explain here) My guess is I would have to create multiple triggers, each one negating and/or activating other triggers. But again, I don't even know if THAT is possible. I imagine that it might be. -

Ok nevermind. I just tried it again. I typed it in wrong. But it worked. Thanks. -
How to put soldiers "in cargo"
IceFire replied to IceFire's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Ok, just tried it. Didn't work. I wanted the men to already be IN the chopper when the mission started. Maybe your formula was for getting the men to board the chopper? The chopper starts off over the water. And since I didn't know where to place the men, I just put them over the water assuming they would just start out in the chopper instead because of that thing you wanted me to type in. Instead from afar I could hear them scream as they drowned, so that means they didn't start off in the chopper. The team of Black Ops to be in the chopper were 4 men. In all 4 of them, I put their special as "In Cargo", just to make sure. I named the chopper Chopper, so the only change I made to your formula was spelling "chopper" with a capital C. Also a little message appeared in the top of the screen when I started the mission, it said "error" or something like that in regards to the formula. -
That last uniform isn't a German uniform at all. It's just a prototype of a high tech waterproof, camofauging American uniform to be made in the future.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Like Othin said earlier. It's fairly commong to spy on foreign govt employees in your country. US diplomats visiting other countries are constantly told by the State Dept, or Dept of Commerce that they are probably being spied on,(more or less depending on which country you are in). The only embarrassing thing about this(if it is indeed true) is that it got leaked.

Ok, I went out and bought some more rams for my computer yesterday. I had 128 rams. Now I have a total of 640 rams. Here are all my current specs. It's a Compaq presario. Microsoft Windows ME, Intel[R] Pentium[R] 4 CPU 1700 MHz 640MB RAM Direct X 8.1 I think the video card is a GeForce 2 MX(but I'm not sure) My cousing installed all the rams, and he said he also did a "defrag" on my harddrive. He said that would make it be faster. Anyways, after he left and all was done, I tried playing Operation Flashpoint. I played the single player mission ambush. I dunno if it was my imagination or my computer was really alot smoother and the graphics seemed more crisp. I dunno. My question is on what settings can I run operation flashpoint now? I have yet to play the Resistence game yet because I figured my computer was too choppy before, or I am just a perfectionist. I have the game of the year edition, and I have the view distance at about I guess 900. I want to put it up to 2000. Please tell me what I should do. And if you want me to tell you exactly what my graphics card is, please tell me how to find out.

It's ridiculous that M16 bullets can go through chopper cockpit glass. In reallife the cockpit glass is able to stand up against insanely large bullets.
-
Maybe they'll do something about this in the next patch.
-
I know what you did. You just went into "command" view. That allows you to see the craft that you are flying. I never EVER use anything else than first person view because all others are UNREALISTIC.

Mr.Rogers. Please tell me you know who Mr.Rogers is.

More highly trained pilots lose their jobs.

Ok, you forgot the Special Ops class, and you kinda forgout about something. Soldier and Officer class are 2 VERY VERY different things in this game. As a soldier, your job is to see and shoot. Â And an officer, your last priority is to fire your own weapon. Â Instead your job is to organize your men, and coordinate their attacks. Me, I love leading a squad of men. I am very good at organizing them and using them effectiveley. I rarely need to fire my own weapon when they are working effectively and I rarely lose men.

I don't understand. What's with the monster? Although I understand the picture of the Amish people. And that's not an insult. Personally I respect them Amish people. They have principles against technology and stand by them.

Also, concerning my post count. I have been on this forum for maybe a year or so, And most of my posts on this forum are usually stupid technical questions or things of that sort.
