CO24 [PK1] Get Steve Harris (BETA version)

Hi Fleepee Great mission, we love playing it. Once we return the files, we have found Steve. How none of us have the option to "save steve". Wehave tried removing all close threats, have each tried to "talk" to Steve, but we have no options. Not sure what the key is. Cheers Harry -

Hi all I am trying to solve a problem for one of our players. Whilst playing Domination missions (which uses this script), if he is shot and killed we cannot revive him or drag his body. Whilst he is laying wounded he cannot see his body. After the 240+ seconds has elapsed he does not get the option to re-spawn at either the base or MR1/2. Everyone else can be revive/dragged, get s the option after 45+ seconds to respawn etc. I ahve had him create a new profile and the same issues occur. He does not have the same issue on any other server (other than our server). I am certain that DOM uses the "Revive AI-disabled" script , and he is the only one to get a message to say so! Has anyone else experienced this? It just seems so odd that it only affects one player, and for the life of me i cannot see what would cause it. Any suggestions on how to fix this. As you can understand it is very annoying for him to leave the game and rejoin every time he is shot! Cheers Harry

Hi all, I am trying to source a mission for training. Details - * CQB - city based * between 5 and 15 slots no AI * respawn * no air or heavy vehicles (although this is less important than the above) Pretty basic needs, but we have tested a few missions now and none are matching our requirements. I have spent some time looking through this suite and Armaholic, but it is taking me a while and nothing yet has suited, so I am hoping someone within the community has played a mission similar to this. Please post here any missions that you think might suit. Cheers Harry

I am in the process of designing a movie and would like to use some of the preloaded/default speech in ArmA. The research I have done so far has lead me to the "say" command, which is then followed by a string (i assume the voice/sound name). I have copied and unpacked the PBO's and opened the stringtables to find the names of the speeches/sound I want. Thinking it would be a easy process I wrote a very brief script and had _unit say "xxxxxxxxxx" where the XXXXXXX are the name of the souynd in the stringtable. In the editor I get the error "Unable to find sound XXXXXXX". What am I doing wrong and how do I get a unit to say a predefined Arma sound?

From memory, when you load up ArmA Editor, under the independant side resides "MattR Addon". Place the unit "MattR Addon" on the map. Start up "Preview" (you might have to place "Player" on the map somewhere as well) and use the scroll wheel to start camera. Press "L" to remove cross hairs. One tip I learn't after a frustrating time not being abvle to raise (or lower) the camera height, is disconnect your joystick if you have one. It seems the throttle and height control are one and the same!

I would like to set up a movie scene within editior where a Hummer is exploded by a satchel at a certain trigger point. I cant script to save my life, can anyone help here. I have searched the forums and found nothing that matches. Cheers H

Hi Tzve Arma doesn't have a battlerecorder like BF2. You can either use the camera function and setup a "mock battle" within editor and record with FRAPS (or gamecam) OR use FRAPS in "live" games. I have downloaded MR EditorGuy camera script for use in Editor and mock up battles for frapping/movies. Hope this helps. Cheers H

I am having the same problem as Liongreek. All other functions work fine except for the height controls.......at the moment all I can have is "lizard cam". I have not changed any defaults and have the same issue if I script in the camera.sqs(?). Great tool and I look foward to using it when making movies, once I can get the height sorted.
