  1. (Searched the forums but could not find the answer)

    Does anyone know how to remove the "wheeled\data\bis_klan.paa" or blank it out of the model? All of my civilians have this appearing on their clothing. I know it is the XML thingy but my civilians look at little funny walking around with this on them.

    If anyone can help get it removed there will be a reward.

    @CanadianTerror - Actually they wen't over to Abs house and stole his yellow and blue tie collection. I was so burnt out by the end of the day I did not have the energy to put in the colered shirts and ties. Today I will be taking care of that as well as the shoes, cufflinks, etc...

    I want to make these guys real GQ, "HEAT" type guys if you ever saw that movie.

  4. Accurate Shooting Range

    Status: Just about done

    This is designed to be a tool for clans who want to give training to new recruits or as an evaluation of skill. Each range will keep score; you will either qualify or fail.

    What scored ranges are there?

    Rifle Qualification at 100 / 200 / 250 / 500 Yards

    Rifle Rapid at 100 / 200 / 250 Yards

    Rifle Tactical at 100 / 200 Yards

    Sniper Qualification at 700 Yards

    Concealed Targets at 500 & 700 Yards

    Crew Served Weapons Range

    Pistol Qualification at 50 / 100 Yards

    Pistol Dual Targets Qualification at 50 / 100 Yards

    AT & Grenade Range Range

    Minefield Navigation

    I have redone my weapons on table script that I got from someone in the OFP days (I’ll have to look up his name and thank him). Anyway I took it a step further and added everything in ArmA. Anyway its fun to see them laid out before you. I’m sure you will be pleased. It’s a nice addition for MP Coops. I will make this a stand alone mission when I release this so you can easy just drag and drop it into anything you want.

    Faster Ranges

    All ranges have unique scripts. If you have previously played the range developed by BIS there range was very slow compared to mine. The normal qualification cycles targets every 4 to 6 seconds. In the rapid you will cycle targets every 2 seconds. I will create a blank range so anyone who wants to create their own range can easily just drag and drop it where you want when it is released.

    Officers / Instructors

    In the mission there are officer spots, these would normally be filled by clan members who are there evaluating the trainee. They have the ability to modify the scenario in game to see how a recruit shoots under different circumstances.

    Officer have the following abilities:

    Weather Cycle

    Day/Night Cycle

    Automated Flares on Range

    Automated Smoke on Range

    Hurt Recruit

    Heal Recruit

    In ArmA distance is measured by meters. For this I have recalculated the distance of the ranges to what we would shoot from when I was a U.S. Marine. You will shoot from the following distances.

    100 yards = 91.44 meters

    200 yards = 182.88 meters

    250 yards = 228.6 meters

    500 yards = 457.2 meters

    700 yards = 640.08 meters

    I hope to have the beta testing concluded and provided to the community in the next couple weeks.

    If anyone currently works as a Range Nazi for any Military Ranges, please pm about the creation of advanced courses.

    If anyone has any recommendations of ranges you would like to see added please feel free to leave a request.

    Oh and if any addon makers would like to create the lanes, flags, mats, empty ammo boxes I'll name a city after you when I create Ackropolis for AmrA. Thanks!


  5. I have a pretty descent system and for some reason I get very poor FPS. I owned the German Version and now the US Version of ArmA and have occured the same performance out of both.

    When I start ArmA I get the following error:

    CmdLineExtInstallerExe.exe - Illegal System DLL Relocation

    The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will no run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\\WINDOWS/system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

    Current Specs:

    WinXP-SP2

    Pentium (D) 3.2GHz

    2.00 GB Ram

    GeForce 7950 GT 512MB

    ArmA Mark:

    824.66 1st test

    1010.94 2nd test

    1356.72 3rd test

    The only thing I can figure that causes all the lag is the dll error I keep getting. If anyone can help I would apprecaite it. Thank you in Advance.
