Stealth, recon, at night with nvg and binos, dont like bad surprises, there were times i would count the ammo and the tangos to be sure their all dead and the AO is safe, when in doubt send a a.i. teamate to check things out , calculate how many of them i could kill with one clip, supressed weapons prefered, cover all angles, move slowly instead of running all time, OPF stops being fun when i press retry/load button...

I tought the u.s. navy used Pavehawks And that the pavies were being made so we could use them with the seals or something, bah im just ignorant in this military stuff...

I apologise if this has been answered but will the pavies come with new navy pilots Hm.. theres some more units out that could use some navy air transport .

Gun discusion?, i thought the thread was about the Marine/Naval infantry addon . Anyway, they are perfect, i really like the camo and how it works well in diferent environment, their hands look so much better, the spetznas and force recons actually have nails on their fingers and i also like the wrist watch detail. I like every single one of these units, they feel like their what should have come with the game and the fact they come balanced for both sides only makes it better, hope that in future releases the makers will keep releasing units for west and east. The bleeding blackout efect is great and is also a great way to enforce teamplay in mp i guess. Ive noticed they do a diferent sound when crawling, very nice. The weapons are just the best ive played with, everything is perfect from models and textures to fire and reload sounds and sights, best rifles ever. All this goodness i played with many units @ 1240x1024x32 and high detail settings and no performance drop noticed, amazing how we can play OPF with such detailed and great looking units without loosing performance. If OPF standard units and everything else was this detailed and great the game would be much more realistic and a true masterpiece .

I tried to shoot all of it but i think sabot rounds have no efect on the Kilo Something else i really liked was the interior but its unfortunate that the driver/pilot doesnt have some way of seeing where he is navegating, it makes it useless for players who dont use 3rd person view. Also it would be great to have a comander position on the periscope like tanks so it would feel more realistic and fun to use (yes, i read about A.I. limitations but still... maybe in a future version?). Another thing that would be nice to have would be a seperate room with soldier cargo positions and more capacity for troops, it a bit strange that a ural truck can carry more personel than a sub . Can CoC combat swimers eject safely out of this sub out in the sea? I dont have them but am curious. Sry if i sound a pain in the a**, i understand you guys have spend much time on this project finding ways to bypass all the game engine limitations, it is another great step forward in addon making and it sure hell is apretiated, big thanx .

Tried to shoot it with sabot rounds but its like the sub isnt there. And there is no lock target thingy but... i like it alot It really is a shame that the engine has so many limitations...

[OT] Its great sp game with great jungle environment, you can see insects, birds, frogs, ducks and chickens , the vegetation is awsome and overall is a great jungle cqb game. But... it does have engine probs and framerate issues so i wouldnt recomend it if you have a slower pc[/OT]. I would really like to be able to use cover like VC in OPF2 and to see the a.i. use it too and to remain in cover when under supressive fire.

Hmm, im not sure if the 53.03 driver is the best for GF2 mx, i read these latest drivers were made with FX users in mind Curious on how well does GF2 mx run OPF at 1600x1200x32 , i know OPF isnt very demanding in the vid card department and you seem to have enough ram and a good processor but still .

I have it too on my ti4200, over big distances throu binos or scopes, helmets and other stuff like the BMP flicker but i never thought of it has a big problem really. I run OPF at 1240x1024x32 HT&L, will mess with the W-buffer thingy .

Very strange, im guessing those screens were just made has teasers and are being used just for advertising. We havent seen nothing cause at this point there isnt much to see problably. I would guess if they have started working in the game they should have started with the game engine improvements, graphix, rendering, light and water, new features and implementing better phisics and stuff like that, improving A.I. blah blah... so i would guess models and units will only be seen in a later stage of development I dont think BIS would use user made units in a new product regardless of how good those may be it wouldnt be right but i guess that with so many great acomplishments made by the addon makers they will certainly use some ideas, what has been acomplished by the addon makers would inspire any developer i guess .

Played it once. Many reasons not to play it again... dont like the resistance soldiers, dont really like Nogova, dont like the plot and missions. CWC all the way .

Strange... do you have the rest of the guns that came with Delta/ranger pack? i think the file is BAS_weap.pbo Maybe another addon is causing the error...

Well i dont think OPF is any kind of simulation... its a game with diferent slower paced gameplay problably because the devs thought it would fit the game and its engine better. True for the time it was released it was alot more realistic than other games but to call it a sim would be a little too much, one could mention the inacurate modeling of weapons regarding fire rates, sounds and even designations, the weapon and equipment loadouts for soldiers, the A.I. zig zag tactic , manual fire on tanks, helos and jeeps, even the gameplay and interaction with buildings and objects (trees and other objects that we should be able to use for cover) was poorly made. Imo the only think that makes OPF more realistic than say Vietcong is the fact that you cant shoot on the move and the long range firefights, regarding the rest i think VC has much better firefights and more realistic combat. Point is i hope they make a good balance between sim and gameplay, i want them to get rid of frag grenades and want to roll them on the floor , to use cover of objects and to interact with buildings, and most of all weapons and equipment acurately modeled and based on the real thing ( AK47 with burst , shouldnt that be on the MP5sd3 or has they call it hk ), reloadable rpg`s?, etc. I am a big fan of this game, its engine, its huge worlds but i believe there are many flaws in it that should be fixed/improved in OPF2.

Could it be some addon conflict, say maybe the black apache doesnt like some other addon you have? Or maybe yer running too many addons at same time? Mod folders? Specs? yes/no?

Yeah i noticed that the gunner chair disapears sometimes when i sit on the crew seat and that we can see the green pilot display thingy through the pilots chair but seriously dont think these so called bugs are worth an update Still when i place these beautys in the editor next to the oficial uh-60 i start... . From the DAP to the UH-60L i love all of them, shame there aint tons of missions with these incredibly made units.

I aint changing my ti4200 128mg, you guys tell me what is the best DX9 card regarding reliability, performance and price , yep it is wiser to wait...

It happened to me once, i was comparing the water from a lake with the water used in DF-BHD, i was thinking that the game really is a piece of crap in every aspect but the water is simply amazing .

This may sound funny but i played them all and only really liked CWC. There was some special magic in the first infantry missions, the black Op ones, the chopper ones too, missions were really varied and original and we would get to do diferent tasks like defending positions or escorting a convoy, fighting for survival and escaping from the enemy, it was almost perfect, will never forget "After Montignac" or "interdiction", that campaign is truely awsome and inspired by the gods . The other oficial campaigns have some ok missions but dont come close, CWC has a better war invironment and realistic feel, it is just great.

Patriotism=irrationalism, why are some so proud of their nationality? History? Politics? Society? Could some patriotic person explain whats makes one feel that way? Would you give your life for your country? I mean we are all citizens of a big poluted and corrupted planet, perhaps if there was an alien invasion or something... .

hmm, on the mission where we have to blow up the cannons on the french fort i had a bad time switching the lighthouse on cause there was a locked door i could not find a key for, there was also another locked door to a medical room or something but i didnt find any keys and i killed and searched all the badies, i now know i didnt need to enter that room to turn on the lighthouse and passed the mission but im still very curious , im currently on a train station trying to save a resistance dude, this one seems very hard but ill pass it eventually...
