There have always been gay people, but it has only recently become more socially acceptable to be openly gay, so i would put it like this, i grew up a level heterosexual person and was never taught anything about gays in my school and it wasn't as far as i know in the education system. My parents brought me up to believe that just because something/one is different does not make it/them wrong. So why now change it so that it does, do you think it would have made any difference to me?, nope i doubt it, i would have still grown up to believe that you live and let live, everyone has their own preferences and if you don't like them then that is YOUR problem. I personally don't think it should be taught in schools, but thats only MY OPINION. This has already been debated amongst the politicians in Scotland, but i cannot remember the outcome.

I have this same "White flashing textures" problem with my Radeon 8500 in HW T&L mode on version beta 1.6 (Finally sussed out how to set HW T&L, was setting it in preferences then exiting and using -nosplash shortcut instead of starting game from preferences, DOH!! ), anyways it is happening with almost ALL textures, most of the time only things like vehicles, tanktraps, bushes and soldiers, occasionally ground textures flashing, sorry i don't have a site to link screenshots from, but i can email them if you like? (hehe flashing can be good if you get a long flash, soldiers are REALLY easy to pick off with white cammo ). I have Supergrace Radeon 8500LE with latest drivers from www.supergrace.com (can't get the ones from the ATI site to work, incompatibilty error of some sort, any ideas anyone?) and it is set at out of the box mode, not tweaked or fiddled with the settings at all, just normal default settings.

Yep DnA your right thats not Resistance info, thats just plain ordinary Flashpoint info at that site. (Most of it anyway)

Maybe, just maybe, there could be some sort of release of a VBS engined OFP, that way you could make your OWN scenarios, not just hey EAST hates WEST therefore we will fight, there are so many boundless possibilities that making it just a pure and simple EAST v's WEST scenario is purely STUPID, INSULAR and downright INSULTING. Basing the original game on coldwar crises is just fine, but to assume that an OFP2 would also be bound by those stupid paranoic rules is purely paranoic (actually don't know if that is a real word lol).... only my opinion thanks

Max your not the only one m8, i had that same problem when i had the same card as you, now i got a Radeon 8500LE AND STILL CAN'T choose the T&L function!!!!!!!!

I must admit that the MP is better in 1.55b for me, i have a 64K ISDN and the game runs a lot smoother, although my pings are fractionally higher now than they were before, BUT i believe less overhead on new sockets compared to the Directplay has a lot to do with this. I run 1.33 Athlon T-Bird, 768 meg SDRAM, and Radeon 8500LE, with XP home edition..

HEHE, well it's not really funny at all, but a ping of 7200 is low compared to what i got one night on 1.46, ping = 65500, yes thats right 65500ms, all the lads on the server were wetting themselves asking me if i was on Pluto, thing is it was TOTALLY playable, so there was some strange shit going on!!!!, so anyway i haven't had any bad experiences so far on 1.55 - 1.58, 1.55 seemed just fine and dandy with hardly any noticable flaws/bugs for me, then again i'm away at work offshore at the moment and can't play OFP unforunately to see if any have crept in on my game with 1.58.....Good luck and good work BIS, get it all sorted for me coming home 31st MAY lol cheers

Be nice to at least have the option IMO anyway. Good thing i noticed was that my RW seems to work ok now, ie i don't give off "white noise", hopefully this will remain so when VON is reintroduced at a later occasion.

I also got that message, i have posted it already in another thread....I don't seem to have a better ping, BUT my game seems to run that bit smoother and with no Desync that i have noticed so far , so yeah the patch seems to be working CRC error and all.

Ok rebooted and played same mission with same crash to desktop error, i have succeeded in putting back 200 addons (Official ones included) for a grand total of 255mb, some of these addons i could probably do without, but i would like to have any future addons i may like or need, thanks in advance if you can sort this out  Ok trimmed back addons to 158 files or 230mb, this seems to be maximum amount that can be used with error free game. Addons i have got on are too many to list here, so if u want a copy of what i have on i can email them. Yo heads up Razor (so i can shoot it off hehe  ), seriously though, i had same problem m8, i posted in here, what i did to fix it was make a folder called addons and place only the "Official" .pbo's in it, then tried again with a update and it worked just fine, i am going to try and spend some time today sussing out which addona caused it to happen, i use same Video card as you and my spec is much and such the same, so give it a try and hopefully it will work for you m8  , here's the link to my post link

Yep same here no cammo.. update........ actually just played myself on MP again, and i had cammo face, i places it in users folder and it was ok.

Also it would appear that lag issues have been greatly reduced, i played CTF game last night, and in that game getting in/out of vehicles was almost instantaneous, also picking up flags went well, i never experienced any desync, and the server had a ping of 0 like he should, i also noticed another post about 56kers having less problems which is cool for them. My Roger Wilco "White Noise" problems have dissapeared also, and several other small things i noticed that were already mentioned here, clipping etc

OK i got it to work, i played "Real Paintball" simply because it's the only mish i can remember thats bog standard hehe. Anyway, i simply removed all unnoficial addons (they had been copied over from my Dynamic range game version when i reinstalled DOH!!, and hey presto it worked, so now if i have some time i will try and track down which addon/addons it does not like and post......

Ok thanks for that Satchel, i just wondered if the "Warning: No CRC information about version 1.46." bit was normal, the rest i have seen b4 installing patches... Anyway i did a complete reinstall of the game and STILL i get the green screen with music etc as i said before, i'll try d'loading the patch again grrrrrrrr, some kind of graphic problem i would guess, otherwise normal game runs fine, i would love just to have a look at new code , but a well i guess i'll have to wait, my m8 sent me some screenshots so that'll have to do for now.....hope i get a solve for this.
