I was on a side mission to mine all the entrances to the center base. Did I notice correctly that the explosive power of the mines is tuned down? I even had a Shilka driving over one and survive. Do I need to place 2 mines, side by side?

Do I understand correctly that version 3(.1) is back to 8 players total? There were 8 slots in version 1 and I believe 12 slots in version 2. Anyway, these Ruskies are going to die anyway ...

Any news on the English version?

With the UK-505-1.04 version out, that could spell renewed effort to get ASE working again. I believe that ASE is still capable of seeing service under ArmA but I just lack the knowledge to do it myself. Ah well...

should you be able to move and shoot in ARMA?
hees replied to --DST-- HIGHLANDER's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Although I share your point of view but I still find it a typical conclusion. Is BIS asking the same thing from the military they are selling VBS1 to? "Buy the stuff and *then* we make it better?" -
I never knew game writing was a democratic process... Ahaa yes map names, there is nice subject!

I would like to see a mod that projects the clan logo as an arm patch or such. I want to recognize my own clansmen from a distance as not to fire in their backs (sides, heads).
-
You could always do that. I did sometimes put missions into ofp watch. But i think this is kind of pointless, as you download those missions anyway when you play on the server. The people who would want this (or at least the only ones i could think of) would be modem users, who want to download maps in advance and not in between playing. As we don't have modem players any more (and i doubt those would want to download 300mb of missions in advance... You could always do that? I was hoping that you would do that... Â But never mind the bollocks, yes, when I play on a server I get the map downloaded. All your other arguments seem true also. I was just wondering if you and I are on the same level of understanding here? So if I'm looking for all maps say playing on Nogova or Malden to name just 2 islands. So I have to come round to see what you got? I'm organising a clan night. I'm looking for suitable maps, say up to 8 players. Do I come round to see what you got? Hee, I'm into BAS and so are my clan mates. We want a BAS coop only server. Do I come round to see what you got? Mind you, I'm sure I'm misunderstanding you. But I do see a point in that. I hope you will too.

I'm not sure if this has been answered before but would it not be logical to extent the functionality of OFPWatch with downloading of maps, individually or in packs? My biggest gripe about maps is that they are so hard to find. Yes, some sites do list maps and they can be ordered is various ways but never into islands! Only fierceful hunting will give some meager results. Other ways are to log onto servers and to start maps quick when no one is about. But I hate it because when you see a server playing a certain map that you like, you'll be more than happy to see someone that shares that feeling. And the only thing i'm interested in is the map itself. Bummer for the happy connector...

Have it and liking it very much. And my Finnish is improving too! Get the new 1.2 FDF mod at their site: http://koti.mbnet.fi/~fdfmod/

My life is full of bugs but I decided to make that final without modifications... What do you mean by "serious"? Do you mean "serious" or *serious*? As I see it, the benefits outweigh the bugs. So BIS, put up or shut up. This is silly... I agree however on the wanted/requested/suggested incompatibility with previous versions. That wil make adminning a bit easier.
-
Make it final. I don't want to be silly and you don't want to be silly. This is silly...

*THE* replacement for GaySpy is the "All Seeing Eye" which is fine with OFP and a slew of other games. The All Seeing Eye

This can be an indication that the server is still missing an addon for the mission selected.

I was wondering if the user made markers in a MP game are seen by everyone, i.e. all human players? The map markers look like an extra channel to convey information on. But that will have no use if everyone can see them (for instance in a CTF game).

Both parties involved are doing the Great Silentium. After all, they have our money, why care? I'm getting fed up with this prima donna-stuff. Oh yeah, bump btw.

I hope you don't mind.<span id='postcolor'> Hee, good stuff man. You made me a lil proud. I was never in the middle of such a debate. You made good work of it. BTW, you wrote in another message something like: 'No offense Tlx/Hees!' I for one don't take any offense and I'm sure Tlx doesn't either. We had some brief message exchanges on the subject. But I have to get something of my chest. I feel caught in the middle between BIS/CM on one hand and JK, the writer of The All Seeing Eye on the other. I hope these two parties will agree to something in the near future.
