How to use a trigger with a plane

put call the plane myplane put myplane enablesimulation flase in the planes init line and give it some waypoints in the triggers OnAct box put myplane enablesimulation true this will pause the plane (make it stop - even in mid air) and activate it when the trigger is activated -

Well, CyOp thank you very much. -The arty works perfectly. -The chopper works perfectly -The CAS planes comes and engages targets and drops bombs (not LGB on map click) but it does its own thing and is very aggressive till most enemy vehicles are dead - which is sort of better in a way and some more realism. -Thanks for the advice about the hinds - i will un-group them and sort that out. why it didn't drop bombs with Russians is that the su-25 (39) does not actually have any - just AT missiles, the takistan version of the su-25 has freefall bombs so when it says 'HQ: contact on laser marker', its actually a bug as that would only apply if you are playing as a american (with a10) that actually has a guided bomb. thanks once again for your time and effort helping me out. -

lol :D Ty for help CyOp well, this is an outline of the mission: http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=12218 Basically I am trying to use the modules instead of scripts as they do everything I need, and once working are flawless. also, the mission is pretty big, and i want to avoid having a massive suite of over complicated support options that wont be utilized. support options i want to add transport (Exactly like in the SOM) Airstike (Exactly like in the SSM) Arty - smoke illume and HE (like in the arty module) CAS - 2 hinds that come and kill stuff, then RTB (have that script already) thought: radio alpha:call chopper - this activates som radio brovo: stop the som, and add in SSM radio charlie: activate the artillery could this stop comms menu confict? if this is just not possible then i will resort to just using scripts from the radio menu the old fashioned way. -

Ty CyOp, -is there a way a can use a in-game d-30 battery for the artillery, ive checked the wiki and there are some instruction but i cant get it to work. -Also, the airstrike spawns 2 su-25's but they just fly around the target area and wont drop bombs on my laser marker - is there a way i can replace these with the airstrike from the simple support module or add bombs to them? basicly i need -the transport from the som -physical arty -airstrike from ssm ty -
not a bug as such, but 50. weapons sound the same as 7.62. the campaign and missions are totally bug free! well done BI!

Hi, In Multilayer, my game randomly disappears. This has been happening for a while (6 months +). So im playing and then BAM - desktop, sometimes with the sound still running, and sometimes I see Arma2 running in the processes tab not applications. This doesn't happen strait away i need to be playing a bit, (1-2 hours). I can then open ArmA2 and go back to the server fine, and play for another 1-2 hours, I would be fine, but i play ArmA II everyday so its not. It does not happen in SP, I can play SP for like 10 hours with no problems. I Have perfect performance otherwise with good fps on high settings. If i lower my setting to worst possible it still happens. It happens with mods, and without. Manufacturer: PCspecialist Motherboard: ASUS PND-5 Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs) Memory: 4GB Corsair Dominator 1066MHz Hard Drive: 500 GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ Monitor: 24 inch Edge 10 Sound Card: ASUS Realtek HD Audio + X-Fi soundblaster Speakers/Headphones: Logitech Digital Precision Keyboard: Fujitsu Siemens standard Mouse: Microsoft Laser mouse 5000 Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition I am a bit puzzled and I thought it could be to do with internet or connection or something like that but I don't know anything about that. I know; I have 100Mbps speed, ATM I am using a 'BT home hub' (wires come from the wall, to this hub thing, then to my pc, it lights up when internet is on.) But I have a unopened box here with a 'Linksys ADSL speedbooster gateway, that is meant to be good but i dont know how to set it up but i could get sum1 to if u think thats the problem. Thanks in advance anyone. I am going to copy up my rpt file when it happens again and see if there is anything in there.

Ok, i have not been able to do anything yet, i started to monitor temps, and play warfare, but now my 'hub' thing has decided every time someone rings the house phone, to switch off, meaning no internet. I kept trying and rejoining the server, i got to 64 CPU, and around 50 on Cores after 3-4 hours, but im not sure this is accurate due to rejoining constantly. I then kept playing and brought a su-34, then RING RING, internet goes down, so i punched the thing and its completely broke. So i decided to set up the expensive router. I did it but now when i join a mp game i get stuck on receiving. from searching i found out that i need to forward ports. This router allows you to do this (unlike other piece of sh*t) but i don't know what goes in what box: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm167/Grimfist1/help4.gif BTW, i don't have a firewall or any security systems so can sum1 tell me what goes where plz? or am i completely wrong and ports have nothing to do with anything? Then i will try to monitor temps, upgrade drivers, update to beta. Thanks for the help guys.

thanks EDcase, I will check but i play arma for hours and hours with no problems in Sp, but i suppose in MP theres more going on? i will test this out.

sorry wolle i just copied my specs from an older post, ive deleted the irrelevant bits, and i am just talking about arma2. i dont know what the 'relavant' information is, if i did then i could fix it, so i thought if i post everything i know then that would help including about my internet which i thought might be something as it only happens in MP. also i forgot about drivers, i havnt updated anything in a while, my drivers are set to the many 'optimization thread's for my g card and my sound card is updated fully but im not sure why that would affect it. i will try and get the reports and stuff when it happens again, last time i was playing warfare and was pretty annoyed so i forgot. There is nothing in the rpt, just about ace stuff and models, but when it does happen - ill go strait to it and look at the bottom. This is the event viewer: 'Faulting application arma2.exe, version 1.5.0.62017, faulting module arma2.exe, version 1.5.0.62017, fault address 0x004d1561.' There is also 'The Telephony service entered the stopped state.' and after this: 'The Telephony service was successfully sent a start control.' dxdiag:

I never play MP on ArmA II, because i always get: Were sorry, but ArmA II has encountered an error, and needs to close. now, with the release of ACE, i want to play online. but i get this all the time. its fine on SP, never happens. but on MP - bang. were not going to let you play nur nur, na nur nur. i think it might be my internet. i have a 100mps (or whatever the hell it is) and can see the British Telecom tower from my bedroom window. (not sure if that helps anything lol) i also have this problem on company of heroes, i can only play on 25% of games, someone said it is to with ports and routers. but i don't have a clue about this stuff. my knowedge is that the wires come in my house and have internetness is them. I have a BT home hub, and a Expensive Linksys SDSL2+ Modem that i cant figure how to set up. It could be the internet has nothing to do with this problem, i dont know. so, can anyone help please? I made this mission a while ago, its really fun and realistic. if anyone still plays arma 1, DL it and see what you think. its for 6 players but you can play on your own with ai. (they revive you aswell) Screenshot Briefing You are 'Delta Force'. A US special forces squad operating behind enemy lines in Afganistan. The Taliban have shot down a UH-60 blackhawk and 3 aircrew are missing. Your mission is to destroy the AA emplacements, Ammo dumps and locate the downed aircrew. We also believe some high ranking Taliban officials are meeting at a stronghold, take them down. When all the objectives have being completed escape to the southern desert and await further orders. In this mission a motar platoon near by to give you full motar support, but be wary of collateral damage becuase if more than 15 civilian's are killed then we will abort the mission. Be wary of IED's and suicide bombers in the area.
