This addon kicks SO MUCH ASS! I was a bit sceptical when I first heard of it, fictional helo, but once I played the demo mission (kudos on including one, even if it is a BIS one), felt the bass of the cannon and saw the Corkscrew and helos in action I was sold. And all the different camo variants are great, I'm feverishly thinking of how I can make a mission (FDF winter?) of these. My only wishes would be an improved cockpit (as demonstrated), cargo space and ideally a DKM Mi-28 style HUD and optics.

Nice, and welcome. Keep 'em coming.

Hawkins is ridin' easy with me riding in the back and MI_Fred being forced to walk. Sprinting to the extract helo in 'Nam under heavy NVA fire! First pic: No addons Second pic: SEB Nam Pack 2, FVT A Shau Valley (not yet released) Both Artak's not-released missions.

We need jungle navigation, it's no challenge otherwise!

My headphones used to hurt my ears bad, my ears rubbed against the hard walls of the phones and became red and sore, now 2 years later my ears have been squashed so much that the headphones fit perfectly. Oh and these are also well ventilated. I love 'em.

The BAS site is more down than up due to bandwidth problems, but you should be able to download all their addons from ofp.info or any other respectable OFP site. edit: typo

I've tried them, but they have a too short cable, are too fragile, don't have all that deep bass and don't fit on my head/ears. I guess that's just me, because they have a good reputation otherwise...

Headphones, always. I have AKG-K66 phones that I use for music and everything in general and a Hama headset that I use when playing MP and speaking on TS. Here's me wearing the AKG-K66 phones, very good value for just 50 euros.

I think it was to "duck"

Same here, I've got some sweet pics lined up!

What would be the point in that? They're doing it to be rebellious "shit head vandals", aren't they?

I watched it up until the naval parade, it was beautiful.

Saw the film...I've seen better and I've seen worse, it was competently directed and the special effects were good for the budget, but it was still clear what they didn't afford. There is a lack of good, large establishing effect shots and often the action is separated into the camera zooming up on people firing their rifles (which have no recoil and have had their muzzle flashes and sounds added later) and then another shot of a lone bug being shot up. It feels a bit cheap, but who cares, it's ok, and great for a b-movie. The dialogue and concept are familiar from 'aliens', but of course Aliens is a nice movie and action scenes could be very suspenseful. The acting was competent. There were some plot holes and inconsistencies, often of the kind Milkman mentioned. It would be a bit boring if all the bugs were just nuked, but it would make sense. The same can be said of Matrix:Revolutions, where the machines drill a hole into the Zion roof and try to swarm the place with nothing but mélee-attack equipped robots when they could just drop a few nukes through the hole. Well, that wouldn't be entertaining, would it? Rent it for a fun evening. "shed no tears for me, my glory lives forever."

That's perfect!

I'm probably wrong () but Goldmember really started the main config'd replacement explosion and burn effects and the like, that are now standard as ECP (all effects), FDF, all kinds of stuff. If he wasn't first with the idea, he was a pioneer. He always listened to feedback in the thread and basically made the addon as the users wanted it, that was very cool.

I HAVE read it

I love you, Icefire. You make my life worth living. I'm starting to think he was being sarcastic. I hope. This thread has inspired me, I'll be seeing the movie tonight or tomorrow...

But the Vietcong point man followed tightly scripted waypoints, so that may not be the best example. A point man system would be great, anyway, and especially NCO's instead of officers as squad leaders. Those berets (black Naval Infantry berets on guys dressed in VDV camo?) and caps are just so easy to target.

On the other hand, prone infantry is much harder to detect than infantry frantically running for cover.

Actually you don't need wallhacks (of the sort where you walk through walls) in OFP, you can do it without cheats, just sprint into a corner. Well, to stop my über1337 cheat advisory, it's too bad that I have an ATI card, and an old one at that. Good thing that you aren't near water all the time.

Is it just me or are the pilots missing....? Nope, you can see him there to the left, white helmet.

Akira, don't forget the extended whipping scene, after all the fun of the Federation Army he makes a critical mistake and is excruciatingly flogged for it, fascis = an old Roman whip. It just ties into the whole. And yes I have read the book, completely different from the movie. The author even breaks into explaining his ideal fascist (?) system for a whole chapter.
