D`ARRRR! BF1942 (and other unrealistic action games) is like heroin! Shooting heroin has numerous short-term benefits, and abandoning your safe, comfortable life in favor of it might seem reasonable at first! Until you OD, go into a coma (or whatever), and awake, discovering that you have accidentally burned your house to the ground and your friends don´t know you anymore. Heh. Flanker 4 was abandoned by its developers years ago and its fans have made it into probably the best flight sim ever! Flanker 4 still has a hardcore fan base, and BIS is still supporting OFP (tough I´m starting to doubt it...the latest news are "MP test available" and we still don´t have a Res patch). How many developers actually have their LEAD PROGRAMMER answer questions and contribute to discussions in the forums!? Phew!

Paratrooper´s just calmly stating his own personal opinion and everyone starts calling him a kid and generally attacking him, WTF is up with that? And Paratrooper doesn´t even flame back, now I think denoir & co are the real kids here

Saddam is a bad, bad man, but you can´t use the WMD issue as an excuse to invade Iraq. "Saddam would use his WMDs against the U.S at the earliest opportune moment" Yeah RIGHT. Saddam´s not the antichrist out to destroy the world! If he attacked a COW with chemical, biological or nuclear weapons his life (or at least rule) would be cut VERY short, VERY QUICKLY by a massive invasion force consisting of U.S, European and Gulf forces. (maybe Israel would want a crack at it, too?) Saddam may be power-hungry and ruthless, but he´s not THAT suicidal and stupid. He just wants to stay in power, he would never have invaded Kuwait if he´d known what kind of reaction it would cause (okay, on second tought, he is pretty stupid). It would be better for everyone if Saddam was toppled, but he´s not a serious threat to any other countries right now. China would be better of without communism, too, but you don´t invade China just because you feel like it.

Right, I just had a lightbulb moment...or something. So...has anyone played Jagged Alliance 2, one of the best games ever made (along with OFP)? I just played it today, and I started thinking about the map. The grid system reminded me of OFP...Heureka! Arulco could be converted to OFP, it´s all there...destroyed buildings (Omerta) normal village buildings (Drassen, most of the towns) Hangars, (Drassen airport, Meduna airport, warehouses in Grumm) a desert, and maybe the Chitzena buildings could be Jungle Everon huts. Ruins in Chitzena could be the ones on Nogova...Ok, so some large new buildings would be needed like the Meduna palace, Alma prison and the base in Alma etc. Swamps can be done by adding some really shallow water and thick vegetation. But the amount of sectors in between the towns should be quadrupled (at least). Of course, I´m not saying that the JA2 campaign should be converted, just the map. Everything is falling into place...of course, I´m too stupid to use WRPedit So get working, my pretties! And for all JA fans...JA2 Gold edition is coming soon!

The chopper got stuck in the roof, and I know that the OFP engine does this all the time, but it started jumping around IN the roof at lightspeed, and...well it´s hard to describe but it was the funniest OFP engine bug I have seen, it was totally insane and me and my friend just LMAO:d. I jumped out of the chopper and watched it for 5 minutes.
