  1. kinda.. think it perhaps already in, (AK5P.. ) but will need to check what we coded and what we haven't coded :)
  2. Tracers will be fixed in the next version (its already fixed but not released). The Gbåt I can't promise (time is the issue) but will look into it, topspeed should at least be easy to fix. Regarding the hat.. here is a picture from 2005 in Liberia (in SFP you find it under SFP - 2015 / Soldiers UN). It would clutter the mission editor if we were to do all units, combinations thats possible.. but for a mission maker its easy to put the right gear, combo and rename it to "Sjösäk Automatic Rifleman" or similar. not too far away comes our new desert soldiers and perhaps later winter, so there will just in the "basic" models be a lot of units in the editor. We don't want to clutter it with "not so used units", no offense to any sjösäk.. but I think/hope you get my point :)

  4. Bad Benson, did I send the placeholder I used? I took a tree model, and renamed it on all.. then placed the objects. Turned out 3 worked perfectly (no need to set height), this means we could fix the other ones. Also got another idea I will try tonight, i let you know :) EDIT. My idea, making something like this. Any interest?
  5. yeah, speaking of the network among modders. NZDF Crash flew around the world to crash (phun!) on my couch for a few days, while he might had other things in mind, like see and explore asia/europe, I am pretty sure the main event was to play arma3 at my house ;)

I want to quit.. but I can't :( Editing ofp/arma is like a drug, I don't do it for the fame, not for being creative, not for having fun.. but because when I get home from work its the first thing I do until I go to bed, can't explain it or justify it (imagine the body I would have if I put 25% of that time on exercise). So whatever you do, never start modding. Its addictive. PS. There is still awesome stuff you can do without "skills", like the suicide vest in SFP. Its a very simple script, made with notepad, using a standard bis vest. Nobody so far gives a fck thats not a "correct model", we are having great fun and many laughs with early detonations or when in the middle of a player vs player, one guy manage to take out 3-4 guys in one "strike". If its fun, the quality of of the model is less important.. if its just screenshots in the editor without friends, its the only thing that matters.

  9. haha you found that one :p Just for the record, the song is a silly stupid song about two small girls that wants to fly in a pink chopper, thats why it looks like it looks ;) But yeah, still some barriers to cross before we can do good insertions from ships..
  10. nope, just do 4 lods... (level of detail) Lod 1: 8000 (when close, and inside) Lod 2: 4000 (normally this is what you see) Lod 3: 2000 (from some distance) Lod 4: 500 (basicly a box with the textures, when you far away) sounds like a house that would work good on a swedish map... if you sharing, i am interested ;)
  11. download the swedish forces pack 0.1.8 and unpbo the sfp_gruppbat.pbo. That works with physx and isn't binarized. EDIT. WIthout roadway, I have less problem with the chopper moving, however the chopper says its moving and I ain't allowed to get out.

  13. SFP have been updated to 0.18, its now compatible with ArmA3 beta. Most of the work have been to rework our stuff to work with ArmA3, but thanks to Bad Benson we now got a great midrange texture to Wamako. We also done a few other changes to improve the performance of the island. Other than not much new, a few fixes but check the changelog in the first post for full details and for the download link.
  14. hm, strange I used the hummingbird, will also try a few different settings tonight. My friend totally trolled me btw by saying something with, "did you try simulation=carrierx".. I had updated my code, packed the pbo and checked it ingame (didn't work at all of course) before realized it was just something he said.. shame on you for teasing me subroc ;) but it would had been awesome with a class like that. :) Will also post some video today I hope.
  15. got one small boat working perfectly with physx. Started on a bigger corvette with helicopter pad, it worked fine to land on it when static and few waves. The chopper moved a bit but maintained the "overall" position, however it was impossible on a moving ship. It just went off, not too different from arma2. Now, not sure what you used, but I had a roadway that was slightly above the geo lod (i think, not looking at the model right now).. So you did you use roadway?
  16. I am looking for something really simple to have a missile hit where I point on map. Using something similar to Mandole missiles, isn't an option even if it is awesome.. (also not yet ported/tested with a3?) A cheating version that just "hit" where I press (spawn a bomb) isn't an option either.. I need a low flying missile that goes to the point I pressed, is there any scripts around?

  19. I guess many addon makers like me got a model with textures that looks good but there is no sound. Many used arma2 default sounds but its bit annoying and right now for arma3 we don't even have all sounds (tanks, airplanes) and this is why I personally haven't pushed out any fighters or tanks. I guess i ain't the only one.. so, this is a call for the whole community, we need sounds! It have to be free from copyright issues, and easy for all modmakers to include in their addons. In other words, ripping them from youtube or similar isn't ok. We need specific sounds like threads, engine idle, acceleration and so on. So anyone out there that could help?

  21. We see, so far the only thing I know for sure that will be stand alone is the An-14. Wamako, I see the point of releasing it stand alone but its also part of our mod. I want people to download our mod, not just pick the cherries. In other news, I might not be around posting here so much. Got my first warning today at bis forums and knowing the process I might be banned very soon. Of course can't say why, how since that would be against the rules. My god I am so sick of it.

  23. if some people break that law doesn't make it legal for everyone else to just go ahead and take those sounds. So while a lot people seem to do it, without problem, I think a thread with those types of sounds would be closed down..
  24. It works the other way around, if its specifically granted to use it from youtube then you might, but if nothing is mentioned. You can't.
  25. all I can say is that midrange textures is being worked, I will try in config to lower the amount of grass and the distance its showed. Perhaps replace it with something else, my "problem" is that I bought a new computer with SSD drive and so on, so I get pretty good FPS on wamako and its hard to "test" what could make good improvements... but grass seems to be key issue so I will try to look into that for next release, even if I think most energy needs to be fixing our release to the Beta levels in code and so on.
