Smileys Environments "Afghanistan,Kabul"
Fork122 replied to smiley nick's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Wow, I just flew around the island a bit in OFP, it looks very nice. Now do you plan to add objects to the map or keep it as is? -
The only problem with that is in OFP the game loads all the addons in the addons folder. Eventually I assume there is a limit to how many you could have loaded. It could be different with ArmA though.
-
Yes it does, there was a project called CTI44 that put a lot of WWII stuff into one big pack. I used to play it and it was a lot of fun. Now it looks like the main page is down for it and I don't see the server on OFPwatch. Looks like you can still download the pack (and the CTI missions) at OFP.info however. By the way, if you wanna view those screenshots on OFP.info, just click on them and change "gamezone" in the address to "gamepark". EDIT Yup that one is good

Well if there is a resistance side like in OFP it'd be more likely for them to use guerilla style tactics. There are a lot of other things in games that would probably upset them too, rifles, handgrenades, pistols, etc. I don't think including something like IEDs would be any different than the rest. Lets get your opinion on it Zim, your a corporal in the marines right?

Tropical settings?
Fork122 replied to the amazing flight lizard's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Are you still looking for that light blue water? If you are you can get it here at OFP.info Sorry if its already been mentioned -
Bad idea..... Mods are what has kept OFP alive so long, I doubt anyone would still be playing vanilla OFP.

3DGamers says Summer 2006, The developer says Q4 2006, and the main page says "The end of 2006". So I'd say it's safe to assume a release towards the end of 2006. By the way, Hidden and Dangerous 2 was one of the best WWII games I've played

OFP photography - No images over 100kb - Pictures only, NO comments

Just two shots from the Zeus server, only addon was WGL5. -
This what you're looking for? http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=6536 That link works for me. Hmmm, I've never had that happen to me
-
Are you serious? Wasn't it a T55 they owned near their their offices ? At least they own a TANK. I don't think you can say that for the most of the other developers. They are the army though
-
LyesKrovy? I really like that one too. When it first came out I thought it was kinda boring, but now I'm really starting to like it.
-
I picture somebody driving one of the BA64s up that ramp made of rubble into the second floor of the apartments Sounds intresting though, the other day I saw Basovka_Tank, I bet that one would be cool too.
-
The dirt on the soldiers leg and arm looks really awesome in that AT pic

Try sending thunderbird84 a private message. He's the FFUR project leader so I bet he'll know.

There really wasn't anything major, just two small mistakes. The misspelling of strategy at 1:03 as stragety. and the misspelling of already at 1:19 as allready. I don't mean to be a jerk about picking out every little detail, just thought it might help. By the way I forgot to say that the intro with the picture of the soldiers coming up was pretty cool, it kinda freaked me out a little because I had it up on full screen
-
Anyone else slightly annoyed how the new patch took out the class names being Schutze, ScharfSchutze etc. and turned them into "Rifleman", "Sniper"... Seems like the game is getting dumbed down
-
I just finished watching it, overall I liked it a lot. There were a few spelling errors that kind of took away from the professionalism of the video, but something like that could be fixed pretty easily. Another thing that hurt the "atmosphere" of the video was the tags of the hosts (such as 3DGamers) in the screenshots corners. It might be hard to find shots without those though. A clever cropping might be able to hide it, but you would lose some of the image. My only other gripe might be that the TrackIR segment seem to run really long compared to all the other clips. For someone like me who has already seen that video it's kind of boring, but I suppose for a new member it still might be intresting. Other than that I really liked it, it's cool to see a lot of the media put together into a single video.

Guess you didn't play Soldner then? Exactly

I used to play OFP online with a friend a bunch, all I can remember doing was staying on sockets and clicking on remote. There all I did was put in his IP address and leave it on port 2302, or whatever default is. If that doesn't work maybe your buddy has a firewall up. Go to The Avonlady's and search for "behind a firewall". Until my friend opened up some ports (I'm not exactly sure which ones) we couldn't connect in multiplayer either. I hope that can help a little

Why did you end that with a frustrated sounding statement and then a happy banana? I'm very excitied for VBS1 Lite myself. Releasing a buggy game would never be a good idea. It's never going to be perfectly bug free, but BIS still shouldn't just release an unfinished game.
-
That's right. I think for a while OFP.info would put "Resistance" in the thumbnail picture to let people know it was made for OFP:R, now I think they don't do that because almost everyone has Resistance. Not unless you buy Resistance or GOTY. Try going to OFP.info, going to the addons, clicking on the airplanes section and going way back in the archives. That's all I can think of.

Well sometimes the screenshots you see probably wouldn't run that well on most computers. The details get cranked up, grass gets added in, and high quality units are used. It looks really nice, but it isn't very playable. There are some texture replacement and tree replacement packs that you can use too. There's the WGL Replacement Textures and there's also Berghoffs Nature Pack which replaces the CWC trees. If you don't have a pretty high-end system they can add some lag to the game, but that's one of the downsides of adding better graphics. As for shading effects, I don't think your going to see much of that in a game from 2001. Doesn't the picture pretty much explain what your going to get
