You should have a mod move this topic, there is supposed to be no discussion of official missions in the ArmA General forum. You don't want to give any spoilers to people who don't own the game already.

From the beginning of time, OFP players were never "Casual Gamers"

Couldn't this have gone in the thread already about helicopters? I don't have ArmA ( I live in the US ) but in OFP it was Numpad * to use free look. Other than that in OFP I believe you could actually hit Tab to cycle targets. If I recall correctly, I remember reading that somewhere, I never did use it successfully though...

Thanks! Can't wait to try it out

Ha ha! The best pictures are the Spetznaz extraction, the downed helicopter, and best of all the illusion of flying Edit: Check out the RPG man (closest to boarding the helicopter) in the Spetznaz extraction. Pretty good Lego RPG if you ask me

Awesome! But wheres the .80 link, I only see .750. Can't wait to try out the new version

Are there any servers that play this? Also, are there any MP Missions that are available to download?
-
Heh, nevermind. Downloading now, it's up everybody Thanks Ebud

Great picture, Ebud. I'm excited to see this "extra content"

Does the AI in tanks now immediately act according to your orders ? Next to that an extremely annoying "feature" in OFP: you give your driver the command "forward, fast", and what's he doing? A 90° turn to anywhere but where you wanted to go. Has this been fixed? Or when you're gunning in a tank/armored car and the AI commander comes over the radio with "No target, No target, No target, No target, No target, No target, No target, No target..." That's annoying

When you landed on a building in OFP you could go near the edge, go prone, and strafe off until you start falling, then you could strafe back towards the building and you stick a bit, repeat until you're down Definately not the most realistic method, but just pretend you're climbing

A few Fraps shots from a user video by luemmel reveal a couple of looks at the runway and area around an airfield:

Don't worry we all feel the same way. I really hope you guys are kidding when you say "Your angry because these things are late". Just keep in mind addon makers have real lives which they work around too and are making all these addons for you for absolutely nothing.

Check the ArmA Photography Thread Page 30 Gart's Post (second from top) gives a bit of an idea of what the game looks like on several different settings, but not necessarily view distance

The way I did it was to immediately head to the right to the edge of the farthest north building. Look at the hill where your squad is moving up towards, there should be about 3 guys hiding behind the houses there. Take them out to help a bit with your guys, and then head back to where you started. Now head into the city a bit and you'll find about 6 enemies standing on a sort of 3-4 level wall that goes down the hill (It's about where it says "Guards" on the map). Kill those guys while staying low (you'll be getting shot at by the DShKs), and one of the guys will have a Mosin-Nagant. Pick that up and use it to take out the DShK gunners (If possible) and take out any RPG men you see so that your armored car will survive. Stay there using the Mosin-Nagant and your scoped FN FAL to take out anybody else you can see. Eventually you'll get command of whats left of your squad, make sure the armored car survives, and if it starts to get shot at, just eject the two soldiers in it so that you can at least use it. Then try to get the armored car to cover you a bit while you advance (if anyone is left to sit in the gun [try moving the armored car up near the hill you started on, or by where you found the mosin-nagant for a good view of the city]), if you can find the radio, try to use some CAS now. From there on out, it's really up to you to advance through the ruins and take out the men hiding in the houses, thats the hardest part, and I recommend using your one save before heading into the ruins Edit: Heh, very similar tactics ThudBlunder

I think maybe he's curious, because it looks like they're a pretty important person. I personally wonder where he fits into the game, but that'd be giving away some spoilers so don't tell me

Hello, I could use a little help here with a bit of a mission I'm working on. The problem is, is that I'd like to play it either over LAN, or the internet with a friend of mine. In the readme of the script I'm using (an AI Respawn Script by angusjm), it says in order to run the script in multiplayer it needs to be run "on the server only". Now, with my very little scripting abilities I'm not quite sure how to do that, and searches I've tried here bring up results that are way too complex for my understanding. If somebody could explain to me how to run a script on the server only, I'd really appreciate it

Running a script "on the server"

Thank you very much -
Looks nice, good luck finishing it up

No way, in that first pic wouldn't you say it looks like almost just like a blurred background. It's really intense for in the game, but then again, I've never played it I'd just have to say it looks a lot like what someone can do with Photoshop.

Sounds great Awesome work, I really should be studying for a test I've got tomorrow, but I'm way too busy playing the Insurgency campaign with the new units
-
One of the best things I've heard all day

I'm probably gonna end up getting one of the newer, slimmer PS2s, I'm too cheap to spend 600 dollars on the new PS3s, so the 130 dollars that the older ones are selling at is great. I finally need to get a new one after my old PS2 is starting to get "Disc Read Errors" on almost all my favorite games. I'd really like a MacBook, but they're slightly out of my price range

Between CSLA 2, Tonal Redux, and Invasion 44, I have no idea how I'm going to study for the test I have at the end of this week Thank you very much for the hard work put into this mod guys

May i compare it with Soldner secret wars ??

Haha, I think of that silly taunting in that game. I remember playing the demo online, running out of a bush, flipping an enemy the middle finger, and then being filled with bullets. My only memory from the demo
