    Cooperative gameplay memories :)

ha ha, one time my friend and I made a really simple mission with the BAS Blackhawk, and BAS MH6, and a bunch of guys with the JAM AA RPGs. So anyways we put 20 guys with RPGs scattered through the city and we took off and flew over. I was following the blackhawk and then I hear "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP..." (we were playing on LAN) and then flares just started spewing out of the Blackhawk, I forgot about the countermeasures on the blackhawk so it was getting really, really, really laggy from all the flares, smoke, and RPGs on the screen. It was crazy, we eventually had to turn off our speakers because we were going insane from all the noise. I think alot of games don't understand how much fun it is to sit down with some friends and work together towards a common goal. Sure, it is always fun to compete against others, but playing a mission with real people on your side is a really eerie feeling, knowing that the soldier fighting next to you is a real, living, breathing person. I really do hope the OFP2 will include either some of the campaign missions converted to co-op, or just some other missions to play for co-op. James Bond: Everything or Nothing actually had a campaign that you could only play through in co-op, that was a cool idea, and something like that would be great.

    Weather online

That would be cool. But how would they do it in multiplayer maps? Since I live in the US and someone else might live in England it'd get confusing if it was raining on my screen but not on the English player's. I guess it could be where the server was located it got the weather for that region, that would make it easy.

    depth of field in binocular

I think in Splinter Cell if you would point the scope at a guy 10 feet away from you it would be focused on him, and objects farther away in the background were blurrier. So I would think it'd be possible, because I remember seeing that effect when I played it on PS2, and that was a while back when the first Splinter Cell came out.

    ability to destroy firearms

I think destroyable weapons would be cool, like in Black Hawk Down when the guy gets his M16 shot out of his hand. But I don't think it's as cool as some other things that could take the place of it in game, like if there were tanks with really cool textures and models etc, that'd be higher in priority, I believe, than this. I think what people are trying to say is that the AI need to be trying to shoot each other because thats the kind of game that OFP is, a game where people shoot each other. And to be a true test they need to be calculating all the other processes that involve how the AIs engage and destroy the enemy. It'd work great if OFP was a game where we ran marathons and fell from the sky. That's just what I think people are trying to get to though. I don't know much about how OFP runs either.

    Grenades

I think OFP2 should have more realistic grenades where they will not explode the instant they hit the ground.  That also would give us the ability to "cook" grenades, so we could still get the effect of the grenade blowing up right away. There should also be the option to either roll the grenade along the ground, or to throw the grenade into the air.  Another option there could be on the action menu would be to possibly throw the grenade back depending on how much time was left on the fuse.  I'm not really sure what the realistic timing of grenades is in real life but I'm sure someone on these forums knows   We could even have duds, like in Black Hawk Down where the three grenades thrown are duds, but that could get pretty complicated. Also more realistic M203s would be great.  In America's Army the M203 grenades will only explode after about 10m. I believe the same is for M136s and other missles.  I don't want to compare America's Army to a game like Flashpoint though.
