  1. When using the INQ config in ECP, the default weapons are INQ ones. If someone could make a config so that the default models are the new HKY '85 woodland ones, ECP would be better. The idea of ECP was to improve the game's looks and performance, I beleive. So the weapons are already improved, and these new soldiers are the perfect ones to go with them as default. Can someone give it a go?

Post it here if you do it, as well as this topic, it would be so cool is someone would be willing to. I gave it a try but I have no idea what to do.

  2. Hyk, can I suggest that you say something about these on the OFPEC forums, and possibly go about implementing them in ECP to replace the regular BIS soldier models. It would really improve ECP, because although the new weapons models in it are excellent, the soldier models make them look a little bad. What do you think?

  3. I don`t know if this would be the correct post or if it have been mentioned before but in the mission editor I would like to see a respawn scripts that are set .

Meaning you can just pick " respawn in group " etc from a list .

This is a good idea, yet something that makes OFP so popular is the fact that people make their own scripts that are almost personalized. Maybe a basic template or something would be good

Quote[/b] ]Basically like a Compact Disc, the inner hollow part is void of the trigger, as well as away from edges of the CD. But the inner, shiny, part is where the trigger will be activated.

How about using a regular big trigger circle of radius 100, 100.

Then a new feature, an un-trigger circle (working title) of radius 50, 50?

  4. I think he meant Conflict Desert Storm game, which was totally unrealistic arcade type...

It was unrealistic in the way that you cannot hold weapons the way they did, and men do not appear from nowhere. And more than that. But it was a very tactical game. Have you ever played it with three friends for hours on end? Fantastic, it's just like being in a Gulf War movie, it's really dramatic...anyway, this is the OFP forum, so I'll shut up now...

  5. Operation flashpoint 2 will use US VBS technology. Someone mentioned http://www.flashpoint2004.com/vbs/ and I went there....requires a password......

My theory is that BIS have been using it to set up the site for Operation Flashpoint 2. The screenshots are previews of Operation Flashpoint 2, but now they are trying to cover it up. They aren't releasing an official statement because they want us to get all hyper and they want to fill conspiracy theories into out brains, it's good publicity for the game. Just because the game isn't finished it doesn't mean they won't be giving little screenshots here and there of finished PARTS of the game. They are reading this now, thinking "they haven't got a clue" and they've got a little trick up their sleeve....their next move we cannot predict, but all these websites could have been designed to make us suspicious and crazy with conspiracies, very good publicity for the game. Who knows what will happen next? Everyone wants to be the next person to find something out that will unravel this mystery further....and BIS are really happy about this. We're doing exactly what they wanted us to do. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but not many of you realise this, saying things like "VBS and BIS have nothing to do with each other". They do, it said so on the website...I'm probably confusing everyone....I'm confusing myself... rock.gif

  6. Can somebody just brief me on what's going on? All I understand is:

    - BIS Australia registered the domain flashpoint2004.com and some pictures were posted, and it was rumoured to be the second site for flashpoint 2 or the site for another flashpoint expansion pack.

    - This site is now not working.

    - Everyone is talking about conspiracies, now.

    - Something about BAS and BIS co-operating, which would be nice, since if that picture of a littlebird is BIS then I wouldn't know whether to use that one or the BAS one.

Can anyone explain what I missed?!

  7. Well first of all I thought that it could be a thing where you can only be a civilian, or something, and just hang around and talk and drive and fly and race, etc...

  8. I can't remember where is was, but I saw somewhere that either in OFP 2 or a new version of OFP, MP games that have already started can be joined (mainly just DM games).

So if this is possible, how about one big mission that is based on the CTI missions, except that it either lasts a long time or never ends. Each team actually STARTS with a base, but there is no real commander.

New defences can be build with the repair trucks and stuff, but no new factories can be built. The team's bases are on either side of an island, Nogova for example, and they might have a few pit stops and stuff. Teams would have a meeting tent or something where they plan attacks, and various things like that. An ongoing war, basically. Loads of other things coule be added, for example hospitals in towns, people who take you into their home and let you rest and you can heal there. You get the idea. Any comments or ideas? Also, let it be known that if anyone does this, some credit should be given to me tounge_o.gif

    thanks!

  9. I am about to install OFP : RES patch 1.94 beta, and I want to know if deleting the previous 1.92 beta .exe is safe, and if there are any other files I need to get rid of. Or should i leave 1.92 beta on just in case of anything BIS do that it may be required for? Thanks in advance!

  10. Before installing the 1.92b patch, I read the readme. I was concerned that the patch wouldnt work with my Game of the Year Edition Copy of Operation Flashpoint. The readme said nothing about it, so I installed it. The box said that it had identified my Flashpoint: Resistance Version as 1.91 and the patch had been installed successfully. I ran My OFP GOTYE, and when it came up, the starting screen said that the version was 1.91. Will there be a GOTY edition patch when it is complete, and what it wrong anyway? Thanx in advance!

  11. If you manage to make this camera so that it takes a screenshot whenever you press the button and then saves it, this will be an immensly good addon smile_o.gif

Save us all alot of time. Won't have to bother with print screen or screenshot programs, and won't have to bother with editing the picture as much.

I think it isn't possible to make in OFP.

maybe it is posible with some scripts  rock.gif

Surely you could just have a program running while you are playing. They aren't that hard to find. Or you could ask BIS if there is any way to run a program using OFP scripts, and if not they could do it in the next patch. With their computer skills it wouldn't be hard at all.

  12. Really importent: it has to be searchable by the classes it gives to ofp. When you get a "missing addon coastgun" error while loading a mission you want to know which addon it is (lbh.pbo iirc) and that can be hard to figure out otherwise...

    Great idea all in all.

Good idea. The way I am going to find out which is which is by making a backup of each addon, and moving each one into the game one by one and trying them out. This is how I find out there names. Unfortunately I may not be able to find the creator of each one myself, although I will try searching on the internet. But if anyone has any information that I don't when it is released, like if they created a certain addon and I did not state it, they can tell me.

  13. If OFPEC can help out with anything - webspace for forum boards - let me know ;)

snYpir, what are you suggesting? A sticky topic perhaps?

I have put the progress report on my site: http://www.opflash.tk/

I will update every 10 addons that are put in, i think. How does XML work. I've heard of it before and I think there is something about it in my HTML book.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I'm still accepting more.

  14. I'm sure this idea has dwelled on people's minds before. It is a long-time needed idea. I am undergoing a project. This project is the untimate addon reference (UAR). It will contain all the available addon's filenames, creators, display names, websites, etc.

The first version of the reference will be in .txt format. This will hopefully make it's way to HTML on my website and in a HTML file (and maybe it will be worthy for OFPEC).

Then I will ask someone to change all this information into a file manager application. That would be useful, wouldn't it?

A the start of this file, this is what it says:

Quote[/b] ]This is a list of all of the addons currently available for Operation Flashpoint. They are sorted into directories.

    These are:

    1. General (addons that cannot be put into a category due to lack of information or just being a black sheep. Addons that fit into two or more categories will also be put here.)

    2. Post-1985 (Modern Addons, and the official addons, etc.)

    3. Pre-1985 (WW2, Falklands, Vietnam, etc.)

    4. Futuristic (Stargate mod - if we ever see it, just generally futuristic, etc.)

    *5. The Best Addons Available

Each Category has subcategories. These are:

    a) Ground Vehicles

    b) Ground Infantry

    c) Aircraft

    d) Weapons

    e) Artillery

    f) Buildings

    g) Other objects

    h) Other (non-objects)

    i) Sea Vessels

*This is completely my opinion, so if you think that an addon that is not there should be on the list, please email me and I will have a look. Also, the best addons list has no subcategories, just a list of 10 of the best addons.

NB: The addons are not sorted in any order except in category 5. In the HTML version of the list, they will be sorted in alphabetical order.

I will need help with this, obviously. So if anyone would like to assist me by doing a certain section please, please email me at fragsta_1001@hotmail.com, or add me to MSN with that address. Thanx in advance.
