Oh come on! Why not give it a deflector shield and do away with all sense of realism? Yes,I do know a plane would have flares for use against IR guided weaponry,I also know how annoying it is that you can do almost nothing against missiles.And believe me,I would like a good defense as much as the next person. I'm just saying that this is almost just as good as having nothing,seeing as it's just as realistic,and that all the people jumping up and down about the flares are at least 'slightly overreacting'. I hope we agree on that. I'm not shelling out criticism on the modmakers who have come up with an innovation, (which will hopefully be refined into something better) since I have trouble with anything serious in editing.

Someone who doesn't know how to take a screenshot and post it is going to make a mod. I'm looking forward to this.

What an absolutely stupid way for flares,I don't understand why people would all enthousiastic about flares that even 'work' *cough* against non IR guided weapons.

I've seen a documentary on bbc a few days ago,with young israeli soldiers and some of the palestinian militia interviewed. The israeli soldiers were saying that they might not approve of what they have to do (protect the colonists) but that they're soldiers and they have to do their jobs,protecting civilians. I was surprised to see that the leader of that particular camp was 21yrs old and had 35 men under his command.A pretty young unit all together,you're almost a veteran at 21. On one encounter they see a silhouette in the night and they fire at it,with ample warning as I've seen it,but it's still strange to see something like that happen. On the other hand,we have the militia,who say not Arafat,or anyone else in the world has the right to ask/tell them to stop their violence. In their part one of them trips while going up some stairs and falls flat on his face,they were also running around a lot with two rifles,one in both hands. Of course they had to show footage of them shooting in the air,which is what these morons seem to do best. It's not to take a stance here,but I don't like seeing the israeli's always getting all the flak. Some of the palestinians are so diehard that they won't stop fighting,even though it's been ordered by their governement,even though according to them their civilians are affected most by the violence.

If you palce buidlings it lags a lot,but if they're incorporated into the map it's less,or so says something in my hazy memories.

Wouldn't the flares technically only work for IR-guided weapons like some SAM's and AAM's? I think AAA is mostly radar/visual guided. Don't take my word for it though....

I did mean realism,in a realistic mission an opfor scheme would be useless. I don't intend to critisize your addon,but just the fact that that texture's there and the navy one isn't appears strange to me,that's all I meant to say.

Blah,why make a kind of useless opfor camo scheme and not the grey navy one that's seen the most? If you'd want to do an air combat training mission it'd be useful,but dogfighting in ofp isn't done very often (for good reason) Anyway,keep it up
