  1. The G-36 E is the standar issue assault rifle of the Spanish Army since several years ago and it is produced in Spain under license from HECKLER & KOCH

    It has a folded stock and incorporates a 1,5X aiming device.

    It can also incorporate a night sight that can be attached to the upper rail.

    Some versions can also have a more powerful sight and a device to launch 40mm grenades.

    Special Operation Units are issued shorted and modified versions of it

  2. I agree with Thunderbird about giving priority to the patch for FFUR 2006.

    Lest keep this thread for FFUR 2006 only.

    I suggest that different mods such the new FFUR Europe have its own thread maybe in Add ons non completed area so we all can talk at lenght about European Armies and so but not interfering the actual FFUR 2006 posts.

    A nice and very detailled mod has been released Spanish FFAA MOD and I am sure the mod creators would be delighted to have it also avalaible on FFUR.

    I am afraid you have not read my comments carefully otherwise you will have not answered this way.

    1st. I am no Russian tank lover. As I said Leopard 2A6 is my preffered one followed by the Abrams.

    2nd. My comments were not intended to move this thread from valid and useful comments about your add on to a contest about the most favourite tanks.

    3rd. I already said that after testing the add on with the actual avalaible counterparts in OFP that is the RHS t-80 Pack I said it was realistically balanced because the Abrams is considered to be superior to the actual T-80 and I also recognized I made a mistake stating my initial oppinion on a previous post because I did the comparision with FFUR T-80.

    4th. My post was an answer to the previous posts stating the almost invulnerability of the Abrams and total and absolute superiority regarding any other tanks on wich I do respectfully disagree, because IMHO the Abrams is one of the best actual MBT is the world no doubt but other modern MBT can pose a threat to it as well although in a 1 vs 1 I believe than Abrams will win most challenges.

    5th My remarks about this were intended to give my best oppinion to help improve the add on with comments about the playability of this add on on the OFP games. Some add on creators are very interesed on listening to the comunity to provide balanced playability versus other add ons and my comments were aimed to provide just my honnest oppinion on this.

    I want to thank you for your excellent add on which I will keep using and enjoying, and you do not need to call a moderator about my post because I will not post on this tread anymore.


  5. Well saying that I love this add on graphics and features I have to add that Abrams was "sold" on the military marketing as the ultimative almost undestructible MTB.

    Events in Iraq have proven that the Abrams can be destroyed even by non conventional weapons.

    Same goes to the Apache, the flying tank.

    Battlefield atrittion have not spared those two, and considering that they were not facing highly trained and equiped units with latest armour technoology but basically scum ragheads with car bombs and RPG.

    There are reports of Abrams M1A1 (I know it is different than the M1A2  wink_o.gif  ) being destroyed by single AT shoots.

    I do not mean the Abrams is a bad tank, because it is probably the best in the world after the Leopard 2 A6   inlove.gif  however I believe we should not think of it as something 10 time better than the T-80.

    Anyway I tested the Full RHS t-80 pack versus the Lates version of the Abrams and it is quite balancec, of course on the Abarms favour but not as much as if you make it fight against any BIS unit or even the FFUR T-80.

    So basically to have a capable counterpart for this excellent add on that can survive if properly skilled you need the RSH T-80 full pack, other tanks and vehicles are just cannon fodder for this Abrams


  6. We currently use FFUR 2006 on 2 servers, one public and we still have one server with just OFP.

    We are looking forward for FFUR patch so now moving back to 2005 and adding add ons would just mess things a lot.

    We have some maps that use to crash and we are about to remove them, sometimes it is not FFUR fault but extra stuff the maps have but that is not totally compatible with FFUR dunno why. Some other maps NEVER crash. Interesting isn't it?

    We hope the patch will be released soon and we will use it on our server as soon as it is avalaible.

    We are trying to get a number of non CTD maps on the server to ensure playability to the max.

    Lets hope FFUR team sort out the issues permanetly so we can enjoy FFUR all the way!! yay.gif


  7. I'm talking about the config that is specifically for MP.

    As fas as I know this file makes that you can play MP on non FFUR servers and with non FFUR players.

    Basically removes some of FFUR animations and effects plus some other stuff.

    I do not think waht this has to do with the Kiowa.

    I fail to see the use of the so called MP config, a name that leads to confusion because people tends to believe this is the config to play MP.

    Of course it is if neither the other people or the server have FFUR but on dedicated servers with players with FFUr you get the full capabilities of the Mod, while the MP config file is kind of light (Diet) version of FFUR.

    I still believe you have to read a post from Thnderbird about some vehicles drivers anomalous possitions that I pointed you to read on my previous post. smile_o.gif


  8. I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I'll bring it to the table.

    In the MP version of the FFUR config, the Kiowa's pilots are standing on top of the helicopter.  They can't pilot and ultimately fall off and die.  Wierdness.  I'm not sure what's going on here, but it's also strange that the Kiowa's model is the newer replacement model, rather than the BIS model, in line with all the MP config settings?

    Kiowa in default config works fine BTW.  Just MP config that's a bit mussed up.

    Hmm this is happening only to you.

    We have flown the FFUR Kiowa and the only bug it has is that the mast sight "V" shows a blank screen and this has already been reported as a bug to the FFUR team many times and they are about to fix it.

    I can assure you this about the seating is not ahppening to other people, nor at least on our server.

    I have read some post from Thunderbird on previous page about some troubles on the seating on different extra add on units and how to fix it, although I assume you are talking about the stock Kiowa that comes with FFUR pack and no any other addition.

  10. My first post about unbalancing was due I did my testung using the FFUR RHS T-80M and to my dismay I discovered that one single Abrams could wipe out a full T-80 platoon without even being scratched. LOL BMP 3 had better chances to survive rofl.gif

    However as King Hommer pointed out maybe FFUR one was not the one to compare. Dunno why FFUR RHS T-80 are different than RHS T-80 Pack.

    I did a new test and they are now properly balanced. The Abrams still kick ass but at least the RHS T-80 can sustain some damage to the Abrams.

    Anyway I think we should need the T-90 instead the T-80

    As for the OWP BM-21, it will NOT work. Because there is 2 different models, 1 for moving & 1 for firing, and are switched between each other. If OWP were willing to modify their model, then i would have half a chance. Sorry guys. Im still looking for the other BM-21 that people keep telling me about but can't find it sad_o.gif As soon as i do i will see what can be done. However don't dispare, as there maybe other russian arty pieces on the way. Have fun all smile_o.gif

  12. I have done further testing and you are right King Hommer, the actual RHS T-80 are more a match to the Abrams than the modded version used on FFUR, dunno why because they are supposde to be from same pack.

    However I am very happy to see that we can have on the Full RSH pack a worthy opponent.

    LOL The Abarms still won, but at least they lost more than 50% of their forces.


  13. I was fighting the RHS T-80UM that come with the FFUR Mod.

    They fired on me but created very slight damage. actually I was hit like 5 times but I could still fight.

    As real war operations not against latest Russian MTB modelas but against more simple weapons the Abrams that is an undestructible tank on paper is surely not so on Real life.

    Take a look at This Article for instance.

    We are talking about M1A1 but the idea is the same.

    Even the RPG7V is considered a real threat if hitting some parts of the tank. I wonder how a 120mm Sabot could do basically nothing.

    Same goes for my question, How comes that one single sabot fired on the front armour of the T-80UM makes a 100% kill.

    The engagement I did for testing was made at about 1500 mts that for actual tank battles is considered close combat.

    I still love the Mod King inlove.gif most beautiful and modelled tanks. Maybe the issue is not on your tank but on the T-80, I am not sure, however we all know the Russians are masters of building tanks and theirs are really tough ones to crack.

    The players wee need to have a compatiblke and balanced Armour pool where a battle vs a Platoon of M1A2 and a Platoon of T-80 is not so clearly sided.

    Anyway I am going to run some test not with the FFUR RSH T-80UM just to make sure that the FFUR RSH T80 UM is not "downgraded".


  14. Yeah this is a great Add on and a very good quality one.

    I like the idea of the loader.

    However it is still too much powerful or maybe the T-80 are just dumb.

    I did a test map where one single M1A2 on the desert killed 4 T-80.

    They fire on me but only damaged me a bit, however all my rounds scored one kill each. LOL this is like fighting BMP instead T-80.

    I used the RHS T-80 for the test.

    I hope this can be fixed someday because for MP matches nobody will want to fight against one of this super killers. pistols.gif

  15. We also have discovered that desert unts are missing on FFUR however I think this is not really a big trouble since the mod allows you to use the most up to dated additional add ons.

    Fors instance in SWAF we are using the CBT Humvee Pack that includes desert units.

    We have seen that FFUR just includes 2 or 3 or the CBT pack and all of the green so using the full pack is just compatible and works just nice.

    Same goes for the infantry units and so.

    I guess that this mod of already 500+ Meg should have to include Artic and desert units, its size would be much bigger.

    We are exerimenting with additional high quality add ons on our server along FFUr and they just work fine.

    For instance the OWP Mi-8 Pack, we already us it and works flawesly. FFUR includes one of the Mi-8 from OWP but with no scripts. On SWAF server we have the full OWP Mi-8 Pack and we use it on our missions.

    We have all this additional add ons on a different mod folder than FFUr to avoid possible conflicts and it just work nice.

    This is the one of the greatest things of this mod that is quite friendly with other add ons.

    Most of the new add ons we have tested along FFUR work nice.


  16. LOL yes this would be just beautiful, even having VOR stations on the map or even Tacan Approaches to the airport not to mention a working ILS.

    However since I know BIS is not going to implement those I would just be happy if the make that the plane gets automatically "straight and level" the moment I neter on the Nav map and if I move the cursor/mouse there, the plane does not follow the commands.

    Maybe this can be also enebled on the Settings Edit. that if a joystic is detected the fly by mouse is disabbled on aircrafts. so when on the map station the mouse imputs does not make the aircaft move.


  17. I have seen that if the AI see how their mate is killed I mean if they realize he is under attack, they react.

    try to play the mission and fire when the other Ai are not watching that one got killed and of course make it with a single shot on the head.

    I have just done a test and it worked


  18. Another important thing to fix in Armed Assault related to OFP "issues" is that Planes or helos have the option to have a map window open while flying, I mean a small map window with your unit on the center.

    If this is not possible at least please make that when player is on the map screen but flying, if he mosves the mouse Cursor to center the map, the aircraft does not follow those movements many times crashing.

    Same goes when typing.

    It would be perfect to have a feature than when player is looking at map or typing, the aircraft reverted to a "straight and level flight" keeping same altitude and heading it had at the moment player went to the map Screen or strted typing a message.

    This will save many crashes and makes aircraft more friendly to fly.


  19. I'm almost certain that this hasn't been reported. I reported this with the Euro pack.

    The M4A1 SD sounds like a cannon to enemy AI, When I was playing the mission where you had to infiltrate the tank depot. I was crawling to a bush overlooking the watch tower and four sentries, one poor sentry with an RPG happens to cross my path and unfortunately for him he's out of the spotlight; I line up my scope and fire one round to the head, next thing I know the whole base is coming after me.

    In another mission where you had to destroy the tanks and kill the RPG crew; I killed the RPG crew under me but the enemy AI from the next town could hear my shot, I look through my binoculars and sure enough a platoon of Armoured Vehicles, One UAZ loaded with Spetsnaz comes racing down the road trying to hunt me down.

    Anyway you can fix this in the next release?

    I am not sure about the distances you mean but on RL firing with such a weapon you can expect to be heard from at least 500 mts. Be aware that aslo many maps have alert triggers so as soon a sinlge AI detects you he informs the rest of the AI on the area.

    If your weapon is silenced you can even be heard upt to 10 15 mts nicely.

    Does not sound a bug to me.


  20. Of course it is possible. Here you can see a relation of all subarines made in OFP. many of them can submerge.

    Also we have many ships you can walk around inside and there was a nice Tomahawk add on from Coc that included a Nuke (I know the Typhoon does not have Tomahawk wink_o.gif )

    Well it is possible to do. Do it I am sure many people would love it.
