Call it a national pastime. This was about $40 in alcohol and we were just celebrating returning from a "flight team" competition. Don't usually drink that much.

    Official Stupid Quiz Thread

You're Malta! With a strange attraction to crosses and falcons, you are one of the most mysterious and unknown people in your group of friends, your community, or pretty much any category you want to mention. You keep to yourself, but see yourself as a knight in shining armor, ready to rescue people if they weren't so far away. Still, people are fascinated by you if they've heard of you, which most of them haven't. I guess... Â To be honest, the first time I got Texas.

    Maps

For island makers looking for US maps, the USDOT and FAA put together maps for aerial navigation. Â They show airports (of course), rivers, big and small cities (with details on the big ones), and some topo information. Â Nothing as detailed as forests and the like but it's got lots of other things. Â Everything from fish hatcherys (I've never been able to spot one from the air, anyone have one for OFP? ) to oil wells.

Probably because it's still a warzone, as well as Iraq.

    Trafalgar Celebrations

Unfortunately political correctness rears it's ugly head again. No matter what you do, you'll always piss off someone (at least if the whole world is watching anyway). Yeah, I'd probably be upset if some country celebrated all of our defeats as a nation. But it's not like I don't celebrate our victories as well.

Have you ever tried quitting smoking/alcohol?

Why did any of you start in the first place?

Then why did they get a bigger tax cut then all the other brackets? Because they pay more than other families.

They do. Goes to show that cutting the military/intelligence budget as a quick fix to the economy isn't always the smartest idea. Bush's, if you look at the immediate picture. Â But the intelligence failure was brought on by the long term effects of the intelligence budget cut by, you guessed it, Clinton. It's common knowledge. Â They earn more so they pay more income tax. Â Anybody who knows anything about the US tax system knows that there are tax brackets, meaning you pay a different amount depending on how much you earn. Â Rich people end up paying more than (relatively) poor people.

And 9/11, believed by many to be brought on by a lack of an intelligence budget. Because they pay the vast majority of our taxes already?

Who's that stud doing spot landings in a 172? Not my best landings ever, got a good picture out of it though. An AS-350 Squirrel (aka, AStar) taking off about 30 feet away from me in front of a KANG KC-135R.

    Shooting Range Assistant

The best advice I can give you is to show up a few days after your turn in your application and nag them about it. Ask them something like "Is there any more information you need from me that isn't on the application?" It shows initiative and you'll eventually bug them enough to give you a job. That's how I got most of my jobs.

About that picture in Footmunch's A&M Complete...

Drouges shot down? IIRC, the YF12A was the fighter version of the SR-71, so I doubt they're for recon missions flown.

    Prisoners Break Out in Song

SOAD - Prison Song The african Americans did almost the same thing during slavery. They would communicate and organize their escapes by singing hymns and songs while working.
