Yeah I'd make a great president I think G2I is either trying to kill the competition or make them do all the work. Either way I won't be buying any G2I product because of this. But I think we should get back on the LOMAC subject before this thread gets closed.

Well I tried the LOMAC demo, finally came home for a weekend so I can have some PC time. I love it. It's a little buggy, but it's still great. Lots of a learning curve for a demo though, but I guess that's to be expected with a flight sim. PS - Boycott G2I!

I think most base commanders are more concerned with operational considerations than conserving electricity. To be fair though I only know how civilian airports worked. It's been a long time since I've flown out of an active military airfield.

So whats the general opinion of this demo? Â I'm stuck in a dorm room with no PC so I can't see for myself until the weekend.

Depends. The larger ones do, but smaller ones don't. Most use something called PCL, Pilot Controlled Lighting. You tune up a frequency, usually the common traffic advisory frequency, and click the mic a certain number of times for a certain setting (high, medium, or low intensity). If there's a control tower the lights will usually be on, if there's no tower, or it's out of operation, the lights will usually be pilot controlled.

It's basically saying "one man's enemy is another man's comrade". I don't see it as some sort of mind-blowing philosophical epiphany, it's just stating the obvious.

That's just the thing though. I haven't heard anybody saying they want to ban violence on all forms of media because of this incident. The kids said they did it because it was in this game, and now somehow we're on the topic of banning video games. Looks to me like it was just a knee-jerk reaction from some gamers, and thats understandable considering all the heat video games get from mom-lobbies.

They said they weren't going to release it until shortly before the final version is released. Â Does anybody think they're waiting on the final version to release the demo? PS - I read through some of the messages left by people signing the petition. I'm starting to think it's not as big as some people think it is. Seems some people are signing it just to comment on how they want to wait for the demo.

I don't usually like to blame video games. But according to this the kids are the one saying they're acting like this because of a video game. Anyway, the kids need to be taught better values, not sent to spend time with other kids who have the same value problems. I never understood how prison was supposed to help people's values in the first place.

I find it hard to believe that this violence is brought on by citizens disgruntled by a lack of power. Granted, it's an inconvenience, but is it really a reason to take a gun or bomb and kill people? I doubt it. I'd understand protesting, but violence? I don't think so.

Anybody else think the helmets are about twice as big as they should be? Or am I just going insane

That's just sick. I don't really blame the police though, they probably would of set the thing off if they had just run up to him and taken it off him. Â They did the right thing by calling in the bomb squad and waiting, sadly they just didn't have enough time.
