    Russian helicopter crashes in chechnya

It simply isn't newsworthy every time a casualty occurs during war. It happens all the time. Not that it isn't important, but the media doesn't care (well, most of the time) unless it involves a celebrity, or something else big like that.

    Anyone remember this game?

<strike>You guys are gonna have to give me some interesting screenshots to get me to download that. Don't get me wrong, it looks like fun, but the last time I downloaded a DOS-based game we had to wipe the hard drive. Â Still don't know what went wrong.</strike> Ok, so I downloaded it but cant work it. Anyone have a guide-for-idiots for me?

    Better command and control?

To find a cure for these accidents, if it's even possible, you'd have to go through each incident, find something in common, then fix that. For all we know the pilots may have known exactly where the friendly forces on, but dropped the bomb wrong. Maybe the friendly forces gave their coordinates wrong. Maybe the bomb malfunctioned and went someplace else. There's a whole list of things that could go wrong. And I believe the new land warrior program does have some sort of IFF. Not IFF persay, but sort of a GPS that shows everyone's location. I think I saw it on TV, lol.

    Better command and control?

Accidents happen, that's just the way it is. There's no use trying to find fault or point fingers, it was an accident. Nobody meant for it to happen.

How can I ? I only hate how people talk about wars. I hate people that have no clue what the word war means in real life. I hate to see deads. I hate to see killed collateral damage children. I hate the smell that burnt bodies cause. I hate not to be able to explain to a civilian why there town was flattened and a completete generation was killed. I hate the economic motives behind wars. I hate the politicians for abusing fears and telling lies to convince their people that war is good. I am doing my part to make this world a little better. I am active UN trooper and have risked my life for people that only were able to survive a few days longer cause we have been there. And what I hate most is ignorance. Ignorance makes stupid. And stupidity makes a lot of people favour wars.<span id='postcolor'> Blah blah blah, in other words: "war = bad. stupid people disagree with me." I'm not exactly sure where you're from, but I'm pretty sure it's not from the U.S. The United States is being threatened here, not France, not Russia, not Great Britain, the U.S. Maybe it would change your opinion some if your country was shut down for a day and lost over 3000 citizens? Maybe it would change your opinion if a clear and present danger to your country has the capability to get, or already has weapons of mass destruction. All I'm saying is this: if your country were threatened, maybe you'd think differently.
  8. Weapons inspectors go hand-in-hand with the WMD limitations. He won't let weapons inspectors in his country either. WELL, he will, but not everywhere. I think he said anywhere except schools and churches, which is more than likely where he'll be hiding the WMDs.

The negotiations really took place before the gulf war. When they failed, we went in and put Saddam back in line. He signed a series of surrender terms, including no weapons of mass destruction, and I think no oil exporting. He's broken both of those treaties, and has lied several times about it. So there's your negotiations.

That is very disgusting.<span id='postcolor'> LOL! If you're looking to the internet to find a representative of the worlds largest superpower, you've got bigger problems than Iraq. There is plenty of evidence that Saddam is working on WMD. It hasn't been given to the public because it's classified. It HAS been given to senators (you know, the people YOU ELECTED) and they have decided that war with Iraq is the best solution. It's not like democracy will ever work. We are trying democracy with North Korea (a bit off topic, but it came up) because we always try democracy first. It hasnt', didn't, and wont ever work with Saddam, so we have to use force. And I still remember a poll saying that about 70% of the american people wanted to go to war with Iraq. I can't dig it up now I have to run to school, but I will later if someone asks.

    Hostage situation in moscow ended

*chortle* This is something they should of planned on. Shame. I'd hate to be the person who dropped the ball though. Gotta feel sorry for them, and the victims, and the victims families.

Warship a casualty of uk gales

Yeah those inflatable tanks are expensive. There's also a TS and TD (tropical depression) about to hit Hawaii.

    Hostage situation in moscow ended

Didn't a group of hostages OD on the knockout gas and end up dead? Or am I behind the times.
  15. I think the polls show that the majority of people want to go to war with Iraq. The people that matter, anyway. American citizens. Who cares what Germans think, they're not involved at all.

LOL I'm just joking. I don't know how to fix your problem, but I haven't noticed it on my PC. Maybe you should report it to tech support. But I guess that's why you came to these forums, heh.

And how are they supposed to find out which fires are accidental or not? The idea was silly, the fact that you're going on with it is... sillier. Trying to be nice here.

What military equipment do you think of

    Germany - Mauser 98 carbine, Tiger tank USA - Garand, M16A2, F-16 Japan - Zero Canada - hah Russia - AK47, Su-27

    Firemen strike

I agree, but it just doesn't go that way. A businessman sitting in an office makes a couple times as much as a fighter pilot, or a soldier. That's just the way it goes, I can't explain it. Besides, they knew what their pay would be before they signed on.
