http://money.cnn.com/2014/12/03/news/companies/army-gun-new-beretta/index.html So the M9 isn't cutting it anymore?

I should think the public is like that everywhere.

Read the link I posted earlier. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/07/30/the-complicated-but-unveriable-legacy-of-chris-kyle-the-deadliest-sniper-in-american-history/ He claimed stuff like sniping Americans from the top of the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina. Do you really believe that? Many think he was a compulsive liar in real life, while the movie Chris Kyle was much more charismatic.

If you read the book, the character may not have been portrayed realistically, unless you're just talking about the gunfights.

Penguins aren't endangered, Antarctica should be open for tourism otherwise the tourists will go mess up somewhere else where the animals are actually endangered.

FBI stats shows gunfights to usually be within 10 feet though.

DARPA is developing the next generation of armored vehicles that will be faster, more agile and highly automated.
-
More armor wears down the vehicle faster. The average lifespan of an armored vehicle in Iraq and Afghanistan was 6 to 8 months. It should have been 4 to 6 years but due to the wear and tear that extra armor puts on the chassis and other systems. Besides this vehicle is so automated, maybe it's meant to be remote controlled driven?

http://rt.com/news/214563-robot-drone-russia-submarine/ Russia’s fifth generation nuclear submarines will be armed with robots and underwater drones in addition to conventional weaponry. "The new [fifth] generation [of submarines] will be equipped with both contemporary weapons and those currently being developed,†Nikolay Novoselov, deputy CEO of the Malakhit design engineering bureau, told RIA-Novosti. “We’re talking about battle robots which can be released by the submarine, and a type of underwater drone,†he explained. According to the designer, the robots would be disposable or returnable of military, surveillance or communications purpose. “They’ll be released by the submarine and stay offline before being remotely activated on command. It will give the submarine time to leave the area, with the drone staying in place to maintain a semblance that the submarine is still there,†he said. Novoselov stressed that developing robots for submarines isn’t an exclusive Russian field, as “the whole world is moving in this direction.†However, it’ll take some time for underwater drones to become common practice, because at present the Russian military is being equipped with fourth generation subs. This year, the St. Petersburg-based Malakhit design engineering bureau completed the 20-year construction of the Severodvinsk multipurpose nuclear submarine, which has already joined the naval fleet. READ MORE: Russian navy welcomes most-advanced nuclear-powered attack sub Severodvinsk is the flagship of the Yasen-class submarines, which will become the backbone of the Russian Navy’s conventional submarine force. In addition to 533mm torpedoes, Yasen-class submarines can fire cruise missiles from its eight vertical launching systems. They can also carry Onyx and Kalibr supersonic anti-ship missiles. The subs have a submerged displacement of 13,800 tons and can travel up to 30 knots (56 kmh) under water. The crew totals some 64 sailors, including 32 officers, proof of the highly-automated level of its functions. Russia is currently building three more Yasen-class submarines, with three more contracted for 2015.

Robots, drones to boost Russian 5th gen nuclear subs’ arsenal
eddo36 replied to eddo36's topic in OFFTOPIC
I don't know, but Submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) systems fielded by all the world nuclear powers already ensure that there won't be another war like WW2, or all parties involved will face mutual destruction. Since submarines are undetectable, they can survive the first wave of any attack and are in position to retaliate with their warheads. -

What part of my PC should I upgrade for Arma 3?
eddo36 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
I think it meets the minimum specs, but if I want it to run Arma 3 smoothly with graphics quality cranked up, what part of it should I upgrade? Historically upgrading the RAM for me works wonders, but in this case I think 12gb of RAM is already a lot. I'm thinking the graphics card, what is a good recommendation to run Arma 3 at high quality (PCI Express x16 port)? Should I add more RAM too? Thanks in advance. Type: Lenovo IdeaCentre K430 Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 Processor Speed: 3.4 GHz RAM: 12 GB Storage Capacity: 2000 GB Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 545M Operating System: Windows 8.1 -

1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded. 2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot. 3. Keep finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire. 4. Keep weapon on safe until you intend to fire. Those who don't follow the weapon safety rules should never be allowed to touch a gun. If he did that in the US, he would have been severely disciplined.
