Hmm, I haven't seen any sharks yet Have seen a few turtles though Check out grid: 016-027

I don't think it will work with an integrated graphics card :( It needs at least shader model 2.
-
Can't help you without more info.... System specs may be a good start

I assume that's a laptop so the graphics card may not be capable to play. Make sure you have updated the graphics driver.

ArmA 3 and TrackIR, how to make it work ?
EDcase replied to Benbone's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I had to update the software to get it working for my TrackIR 5 Leimboy: It may be that the v4 software is not compatible for some reason. :( Hope u get it working It seems to constantly change to the default profile while playing so I had to lock it ON. -
I did this with my Cyborg R.A.T-7 mouse which has a second programmable wheel. If anyone wants the profile PM me. (Took quite a bit of fiddling to get it working) It is very useful so hopefully BIS will find a way to implement it with the normal wheel and hotkey.

There was a thread asking for this in ARMA2 and early days of ARMA3. Yes, VBS has AAR (After Action Review) It would be FANTASTIC to have this in ARMA3!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll just say that if its possible then we may see ARMA3 in a TV series ;)

I still say stick with rudder is better than kb&mouse even in Arma2 With kb&m you can't crab and rotate around a fixed point. (Doesn't matter much but it just cannot be done properly with buttons to control yaw) Each to his own of course. I really hope they get the TOH flight model working soon...

Good explanation Sproyd ;) Long post short... Buy from BiS Direct (Sprocket)

I read that the account is tied to the computer so what happens if you buy a new computer?

Steam crap

What happened to BIS listening to the fan base?!?!?!? I remember the good'ol days :cry2:
-
I just have one thing to say SHIT
-
I wish more servers had them off.

I expect performance is more important than graphics bling as well. Quite a few images I've seen of military usage shows them running on laptops so performance must be a major consideration.
-
Geez, kids these days have no patience... Yes, we ALL want it as soon as possible and BIS are obviously working on it. The latest info is posted here so spamming the forum asking when its coming is just stupid. Sit tight and check back regularly... (Play ARMA2 in the meantime)

Take everything you put in the addons folder out. If you have the Steam version then I'm not sure how that works You must create NEW mod folders. (Some addons already have the folder named so you just copy it to your root ARMA folder) @WarFX @JTD etc Make sure you have a folder called 'Userconfig' in ARMA root folder. (You might have to make it as its not part of standard install) Copy any files from the addon/userconfig to that folder in Arma Not sure how this works actually since I edit the shortcut directly but in theory... When you run ARMA go to the 'Extensions' menu and you should see those addons to activate. (You will need to restart to make them active)

I agree with -Coulum- post #46 If RTT is used what about a lowres blured version outside the scope. In theory this should be possible AND look better. The portion inside the scope would be quite small compared to the whole screen so that would also compensate a bit for the x2 render.

Because direct keys give you faster control than cycling though options. It may seem harder for you if you are new to ARMA and more familiar with other game controls. I do like the individual keys z,x,c to go directly to a stance but I suppose a single key could cycle between stand and crouch (Held down to go prone) Then we need other keys to control looking over/around obstacles when prone/crouched... But it also needs some automation. eg. If you are prone then pressing forward with shift (run) would make you get up and start running in a smooth motion. (Not get up then start running)

That statement sounds VERY self-centred. For example I play mostly Co-Op because its a game mode that does not rely on having a certain number of players to be fun. It can scale according to the player count. The AI in ARMA are not perfect but they certainly are a challenge when the mission is made properly. Warfare is a unique game mode in the FPS genre and if BIS can make it reliable then it can provide DAYS of continuous fun. Benny has already shown that it can be enormously improved. BIS needs to make ARMA3 work for both PvP AND Co-Op to reach the widest player base.

ARMA should be played WITHOUT crosshairs!!! :p ...as for 3rd person... Should be banned :D

From my experience with ARMA in stereo3d: This is actually the main problem In real life your eyes converge and diverge when you look at things close or far away. With 3d games this cannot be done so for example if you are in a cockpit or vehicle you would see the landscape in beautiful 3d depth but try to focus on the instruments and you will have double vision (or you turn down the interaxial(interoccular) distance which reduces the 3d effect) Closing one eye is a solution but not very good considering the extra cost of 3d (including the extra render power needed) Don't get me wrong... I would LOVE to play ARMA in 3d with headtracking but it would need some serious thought and implementation by BIS to make it work.

How many will play ArmA 3 solely for its realism?
EDcase replied to JCDBionicman's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
What makes ARMA so good is that it CAN NOT be categorized. It can do all the things and modes in all weathers and times! The AI do have moments of 'brain fart' but I've also been amazed how human they act. ...And they do NOT do the same things each time unless scripted to do so. I do hope the editor is more versatile so that scripting is not (as) necessary. (ie. more modules that can be modified in the editor with parameters) -
Improved and simplified Mission Editor?
EDcase replied to WhiteArcticFox's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I hope that all parameters are editable WITHIN the editor itself. For example the modules need their own window of parameters that can be changed rather tha editing a script file. :j: -
As soon as enemy armor can pound the spawn room its pretty hopeless unless you get armor reinforcements from another base. Amerish map is better as they have restricted vehicle access to the bases. (Thats the only map I play on now) A fundamental problem with so many players (1000+) is your organized squad has less and less significance. So you end up capturing unprotected bases and moving on. Then those bases get re-captured a few minutes later.
