I think he wants a shooting range to create a correction table. Filter UMPC Training or just hop onto the UMPC server. You have pop up targets up to 800m on the airfield and small arms from pistols to the big sniper rifles. As clan sniper i made my correction table with the shooting range.
There are also vehicles to train on.

Sure you have more, but the server is already laggy enough when players start to spread and fight in different locations, activating ai and causing traffic. You shouldn't underestimate traffic. Sometimes it's usefull to differ between necessary traffic where every clients needs it sent and traffic only the server needs to know even if it's only a handful of players, it reduces the load a lot. That's the secret in making a mission for "masses". You have to think about the weakest spot in the network. The clients are the bottleneck. If they can't handle the load there is lag and then desync.

All of the units positions are sent even if you don't see them. Having a lot of units around causes heavy traffic on the server. That's why CTIs lag a lot when they are progressing. More units running around more info to send.

I've waited long for this. I hope it's almost the same as the system introduced in the LIB mod for OFP.
The crew in armored vehicles shouldn't be injured by any impact that doesnt't penetrate. These things can withstand a nuke, ok not the direct impact though. ;)

How can the server handle the load? They already have problems with the few AIs on CTI missions.

Seems to have problems with most servers using sig check? I don't use it anymore because mods are not allowed in the ESL although i'd love to have the language in english.

So my TrackIR 5 was working fine, but now this afternoon when I want to play it is bugging out all over the place. Random stutters and view shifts all over the place in game, juttering in and out. The left green lcd keeps blinking on and off sporadically.The only thing I can think of that's different is that it is daytime now? my shades are drawn, and the lighting isn't overly bright. what's going on here?
Vista or XP? It seems the problem with my stuff came with Vista.

Did i miss something? I only have a mission.sqf in the mission pbo. The Killer has no weapons in the crate.
Isn't there a better ( realistic ) way to reinforce the cops? Like giving them better firearms stop by step instead of military hardware? I mean the more women get killed the narrower the search area becomes and the easier it gets for the cops to find the guy. It's actually overkill if they wait at the last woman with tanks. If you intend to keep the military hardware wouldn't it be better to change the cops to f.e. chernarus military personel instead? And maybe the background could say the psycho is a member of the military who went berserk, that would explain why the military hunts him and not the cops.

But there must be a way to get rid of "Space" Tag See Ability.
That's anoying and some people use to find hiden playes.
I hate to be spoted without even being seen by enemy. ¬¬
That feature can be removed via script afaik. Will be trying it sooner or later.

I don't think A2 is anything near RL situations. IF so then it's poorly implemented. No door opening on cars etc...Animations from the 70s. Even Vanilla BF² does that better.

Long ago a clanmate and i played BF2. It was the two of us vs. 5 of your lone wolves. We were fighting over a single flag and they didn't get it for over 20 minutes...i wonder why...? Must be because we didn't use tactics and we didn't work as a team?
Berzerk maps can be playes with some tactics if you have a team in a voice channel.
The best environment is really a close environment where you have small teams working against eachother. We had that in a mission where we had a bigger bunch of russian players in a team vs. the almost same amount of players on the other side but with small group building. ( 2 clans on the enemy side and about 3 on the other with 3 publics ).
We lost on target location points although we were better killscorewise. The other team had a good gameplay because they could make better us of tactics that the "wild bunch".
We also had the opportunity when OFP was at it's end to play 5 ( clanmates ) vs. 10-15 publics and clanplayers mixed...guess what happened. It's all about teamplay and tactics.

When i went to the campaign i still had the original ( in this case german ) mission names. Which file could be missing to convert it 100%?

You can't have the normal mode with the A-10 sounds? Meaning no burst fire modes? Unless it doesn't have any conflicts in normal MP gaming?

Very dissapointed. Mapped throttle analouge to my x52 throttle axis - nothing happens. Only works if I also map the increase thrust and decrease thrust controls. As stated earlier here, really, how hard is to have throttle providing 0-100% of thrust? I hate to be negetive but did someone try this feature out before they released the patch? What are the beta testers doing? *sigh*.WE are the betatesters :bounce3:
Throttle didn't work for me either. It's kind of more difficult to keep a VTOL hovering in analogue and it won't work in the helo. So i switched back.

The analogue throttle is really only for planes, not helicopters? ->badAnd it isn't really that good for VTOL use either. I had better control with the old style throttle / brake config and kept it that way until they probably fix it.

This game needs at least 5 more patches to be working smoothly like it did in A1.

Got the same problem with steam, seems like its downloading 4GB+That's why i stopped getting games via steam that are sure to receive plenty of patches.

When using TrackIR software version 5.0, what profile are you using, what is your speed level, and what is your smoothing level?A profile i created and i am ( was ) using standard settings. I tried some settings, none worked.

Done all. GPU driver update, Fraps off ( i only used Fraps recently ).
The shaking in 1st person is the same as in 3rd person view. ( the effect on me as viewer is even worse because the fov is narrower ).
VSync doesn't affect the shaking either, tried both on and off.
You shouldn't be able to see the characters head shaking becuase it happens so fast i guess.

It's not just the edges. Sometimes it does that half way. Forgot to mention. This problem is really weird.
The problem is not OS related. I'll try updating USB drivers, but that should not be the problem either. When i'm in setup it doesn't do what it does in game.

Are you using the TrackIR 5 oder the TrackIR 4 with the new software?
I might try out the new software with my TrackIR 4 but i don't expect any improvements to begin with. I was hoping to get rid of the head shaking bug that suddenly occurs from time to time independant of the environment. ( it does happen to disappear when i switch tasks and change the light filter and/or dot tracking settings ...or not. I still hope it's not broken for some unknown reason, i did break the neck of the bracket when it fell off the LCD. But i checked the internals and they were all fine afaik. No dust etc. Could it just be aging?

Loaded the newest software, runs in game. Still the same bug though. I'm starting to freak out...
I've uploaded a video to show what i happen to see.
This time it's the pitch axis. Most of the time it's yaw.

The frame rates on low end computers are even better when playing ArmA 1 missions, Arma 1 addons and ArmA 1 islands in ArmA 1 in the first place ;)
