  1. The devs are saying that the patch will be released today (or tomorrow, depending where you live when this post was written tounge2.gif). They claim that among the many things fixed the AI should now practice less "let's stand on the bottom of this valley and let our enemies shoot at us until we run out of men or they run out of arrows" type of tactics. yay.gif  yay.gif

  2. I will let the Economist explain my position through their democracy index:

First, guess who is number one on their list. It is not the United States and, in fact, the United States is not in the top 10.

Quite odd that they would rate Iran's electoral process and pluralism lower than North Korea's though.

Either a typo or Iran actually scored that low. Check out of the methodology section for the questions used to formulate the score.

Considering that the "total" score, which is calculated as an total average of all the subscores, matches id say it's not a typo. And frankly, any methodology that seems to lead to the conclusion that Iran's pluralism is significantly worse than North Korea's, Belaruse's or Zimbabwe's would seem.. rather erratic. By comparison Pakistan got a 4.33 which almost makes it a "hybrid regime."

  3. 9/11 INSIDE JOB-need I say more?

Rather let it happen or purpose (Briefed since 1996)or Orchastrated (Firefighters-over 300 who came out of WTC say bombs went off, the collapse videos tell all)-its still

    TREASON. pistols.gif

So you just signed up just to post this? I smell an another conspiracy.. whistle.gif

  4. That was true back in the day, but not anymore.  Take a look at WW2 online for example.

Theres also a D-day game in the making (was also a HL2 mod)

You mean the WW2 Online that looks similar gfx wise to OFP? (infact, I'd be tempted to say it looks worse. Sure its got higher res textures, but the models confused_o.gif )

And the HL2 mod (Day of Defeat maybe?) which is essentially a corridor shooter?

I believe he is referring to this. Personally I think it's just a load of hype.

  6. Mr Hagee called the Israeli attacks on Lebanon a “miracle of God” and suggested that a ceasefire would violate “God’s foreign policy statement” towards Jews.[/size] The evangelist is a leading figure in the so-called Christian-Zionist movement, rooted in a literal interpretation of the Book of Revelations, which predicts a final battle between good and evil in Israel, where two billion people will die before Christ’s return ushers in a 1,000-year period of grace.

    So.. god's a neocon?

    We're fucked. yay.gif

Quote[/b] ]President Bush sent a message to the gathering praising Mr Hagee and his supporters for “spreading the hope of God’s love and the universal gift of freedom”. He is said to have added: “God bless and stand by the people of Israel and God bless the United States.”

But on a more serious note.. something here tells me that all they got was some form letter based on some mailing list and that people running these things would be PR-savvy enough not to knowingly support somebody this openly nutty.

  7. I really don't see why the old working "co 8 somemission.island.pbo" standard should be replaced. The order is especially important since people usually have their missions sorted alphabetically and type of game and the maximum amount of players are much more relevant than the name of the mission or it's maker, for example.

EDIT: Well, seems that lolsav said all this before me already. tounge2.gif

  8. Not long ago i heard BIS talikng about wild life in AA. I am sure i heard them talking about sheep and rabbits and how they would react to things that went on around them. Now can someone tell me have you seen a Sheep or a Rabbit. I was so looking forward to putting a bullet in a sheep or watching them flee. I remember thinking what a good idear as it would alert you to enemy been around, but where is.

its not included jet, but maybe a patch will add it

I think that was mentioned when talking about game2, not arma. smile_o.gif

  9. Best guess is probably some time after the US version is released, not sure exactly it depends on agreements with publishers, but chances are no US publisher will sign the game knowing that an English version is available for download weeks before they're able to get boxes in stores.

I don't know everyone elses feelings on this statement but I take it as a lock that BI intends to have ArmA in the North American market.

That should shut up those that are wondering if there will be a North American release.

    Thanks Placebo

Was there supposed to be any real doubt to begin with?
