I do'nt know about you but there's a mode called "attack/defend" (AD) in which team A defends a target and team B attacks and there is no respawn. While still pretty far from "real" tactics it does make players much more careful when dying means waiting nearly 30 minutes. We often play these kinds of missions on LDD Kyllikki server.

I will play ArmA in any way that does not involve respawning.

Delays do not mean better products. Companies not sticking with schedules just means that the developers have either screwed up or the product is just too crappy to be released. The worst examples probably are daikatana and battlecruiser 3k. Duke nukem forever and stalker are probably join this club if they actually come out someday. Having OFP:E delayed this many times is truly worrying.

Have'nt played it myself but having a resolution better than 640x480 would make quite a difference alone. There's also more improved minefields, obstacles, support, terrain and of course more controllable vehicles. Im currently waiting for someone to get bored enough with SB pro PE and then buy it for say.. 90 dollars.
