The Settlers II - The next generation
Espectro (DayZ) replied to Espectro (DayZ)'s topic in OFFTOPIC
For those interested.... Here is a patch that disables the timelimit. http://www.linuxaddict.dk/settlers2ng_demo_notimelimit_patch.rar @mods - this isn't ilegal and have been accepted by ubisoft and bluebyte. Oh, and link to english demo, so you dont have to edit it after install: http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselec....ip.html -
I don't care what he said. I am still against what Zidane did whatever the guy told him. He should learn self-control, which is one of the most important things to become a good sportsman. Too bad it's too late for him. A violent act like he did should result in that he could not be the man of the match/competition. No matter how well he played in the other matches. Verbal provocation is one way to put your opponent under stress. Sure, he probably didn't say nice things. But what is the matter of oral communication? He could just say something back or simply ignore him focusing on the game which he is PAYED to do.

This is football, professional football. Whatever he said to Zidane, Zidane should never go down to that level. As a professional player, you would expect Zidane to hold himself, and do whatever he have to AFTER the game. Very bad behavior by him, and he should be glad that was the final game, since I think he should be suspended because of that. Violence is NOT part of the game. Regardless how old you or your mother are Peace

Dude, you haven't really come with anything that states otherwise... I guess the following is the most used phrase in Israel during arguments: Sad, isn't it?

If every other nation ceases to exist by 6 o'clock, FIFA would have to hand the title over to Denmark. 1992 anyone ?

Btw... I also recieved this monitor, and I am very impressed! At the moment I just plugged it into my laptop (since I haven't recieved all the stuff to the new computer yet). I am running without the drivers or software included and using analog signal (not DVI). And im impressed! No ghosting in games nor when wathcing DVD. This is really a nice monitor, and it looks good as well (I like the design). Definately worth the prize, which isnt high either. There's a 19" version available as well... For those who are into that This monitor cost me 2100 dkk, which is around 250€ -

Hmmm Well, I actually bought them because I saw that dual GPUs (SLI) actually or allmost doubled framerate in various games. That was a teswt with SLI 7800GT though, but they are quite expensive. I found this asus card for 1300 dkr each (140€ per piece). Anyway, I allready recieeved both of them, and they are okay until directx10 gets here, then ill prolly buy some new stuff -
Im still hoping for Denmark to win the final

How realistic do you expect ArmA to be?
Espectro (DayZ) replied to martinovic's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
I agree to a large extent, but would just like to see some kind of penalty (time delay/moved out of the action to a nearby field hostpital or similar) after being seriously wounded. Waiting a couple of seconds while a medic miraculously heals you just seems to easy and doesn't afford enough injury avoidance by the player if he knows that there is a medic nearby able to perform instant miracles on him! Man, you must have nerves of steel, if you let the enemy hurt you on the battlefield. If you are shot, theres a great risk that its fatal, rendering any medic useless -
But thats then related to ArmA aswell lol. Well... Anything BIS is remotely related to arma... But the release of a scripting guide or the wiki would be a good guess... Let's wait and see
-
ahh, come on.... Let's not start all this nitpicking... You think the soldiers haircuts should be different as well because of the win? Or should they grow a beard during the campaign? Let's just get the game done, so we can play it and enjoyu the GAMEPLAY
-
I think this sounds like a hell of alot fun. It's been a while since ive seen a really good RTS (Starcraft anyone!?). Let's see if we can get some fun and hard battles in this game as well.. The good thing about starcraft is, that its easy to learn, but it takes years to master.

I like the OFP way - that way you HAVE to keep your medic alive, and that gives a strategic reason. -
That's a great point, mate
